At least he, Tenebrae Dramath, a.k.a. Lord Vitiate, was born that way. After his dark, world devouring ritual and centuries of corruptions, he has far surpassed any notion of the Sith race in their natural state.

This.

There is a statue of what looks to be a Sith Pureblood in the Dark Temple on Dromund Kaas, and the same statue is also in the Dark Council chambers on Korriban. If you ask me, it depicts the Emperor going through the ritual that transformed him.

From what the Hand (One and Two) say in the SW quest, it is highly likely that the Jedi Knight killed the Voice, and not the Emperor himself, as they say that the Voice has recently been silenced, and you have became the replacement Wrath (since Lord Scourge defects).

And Baras is trying to be the Voice.

Baras is the voice. We silence him, we take up Wrath position

No. Wrong. Baras is not THE VOICE OF THE EMPEROR.

He vies for power to become the VOICE, however consequently turns one of the Empire's strongest rising Sith lords against him (his Apprentice). The Emperor's Hand (2 servants) reveal that the Emperor has been watching the Apprentice for quite some time and has chosen him/her to become his new Emperor's Wrath.

The Sith Warrior character is the replacement to Darth Scourge and is potentially stronger than Scourge ever was. The Warriors story more than likely takes place in a slight time-gap after the Jedi Knights story, who, by the time of the Warriors betrayal at the hands of Baras, kills the "Emperor" (the Voice of the Emperor, who the Emperor's Hand reveal was recently killed).

It's at this moment that the Warrior is finally approached by the Emperor's direct servants (who share a mind-link with the Emperor himself. The Emperor is not dead). It's then revealed that Darth Baras used the Warrior character to try and take over the Empire by becoming the Voice of the Emperor (A position that gives him the political power and control over the Empire as if he were the Emperor himself).

The VOICE OF THE EMPEROR is chosen by the Emperor -HIMSELF-. Therefor, Baras was an imposter who had to be executed - it was treason. Vitiate did not choose him and had no intention to do so, because the VOICE OF THE EMPEROR is no more than that - a speaker. He chooses the Warrior to become his replacement Wrath because of his/her hidden immense potential.

The Emperor's Hand also reveal that the Emperor has not been seen by ANYONE (including the Jedi Knight) for decades. His whereabouts remain a secret as he plans for a great calling. Not even the Hand themselves know where he is. The only person who might have had a clue where he was is Revan, which unfortunately if we take into consideration the two Flashpoints on both the Republic and Empire.. Revan dies, with the Empire Flashpoint (The Foundry) being after Revan is rescued by the Republic. The Sith kill Revan, which means the Emperor actually did simply let Revan escape to locate the Foundry.

So to anyone Republic supporting players by both lore and game, the Empire is likely going to win the war (with the Republic over-throwing them by plot-protection.. as usual). The Empire has control of the Foundry; a place where infinite, highly advanced extermination-Droids are manufactured.

And, just to add.. the Warrior character becomes the Emperor's Wrath the moment the Emperor's Hand REVEALS Baras's plot.

In conjunction to my claim that the Jedi Knights story happens a few moments before the Sith Warriors story, I suggest you play them both to 50 and you'll understand why. My character has only recently become the Emperor's Wrath and the comment made by the Hand revealing the Voice was "recently silenced" coincided with where the Jedi Knight believes he/she killed the "Emperor".

You have to remember that Darth Vitiate (Sith Emperor) is incredibly intelligent, cunning and manipulative. He LET Revan escape his imprisonment, and utterly relied on the Republic to rescue him.. leading Darth Malgus's strike team straight to the Forge where Revan meets his final opponent. Why would Vitiate allow the Republic to believe the Emperor is still alive? He's setting the Empire and Republic up for something big, and those who have been following the story vehemently will know what that is ;)

There. That should close it on the "voice of the Emperor" issue.
