Kemmer
As far as I can tell, we don't have any true non-Force user melee class. However, are there any Advanced Class / Skill Tree combos that might let me effectively mix in some melee combat on a regular basis?
Colobulous
Maybe the IA/Smuggler has some, but I wouldn't say they are all that much melee-oriented.
Deadeyedave
I would say a scoundrel is more melee than it is ranged.
POINGjam
Powertech bounty hunters have a good amount of melee. Rocket punch and rocket kick and rocket push and rocket shove and rocket pinch. Most of them involve a rocket.
omechron
All of his flame thrower stuff is shortish range, and he has an extending blade.
NateEH
Operative and Scoundrel are your non-force using melee types. Yeah they use guns, but apparently you can throw a rock farther than rifles and pistols shoot. Their cost-free spam shot went from 30m to 15m and down to 10m by the last bit of beta. Meriki
Ya plus they are heavy on defense so you can truly tank things without needing a lightsaber.
VanorDM
Scoundrel with the dirty fighting spec has a fair amount of melee in it I believe.
Nozze
Scrappers (Smuggler) are melee-oriented. They are probably the equivalent of WoW's Rogue to TOR.
Taran_Tatsuuchi
I do believe the Agent Operative AC has melee options in one of the trees.

If you've ever watched Stormtroopers firing their rifles, you realize that it was probably a good idea people were moving in closer back in the old republic

Faile
I believe what the OP is referring to is that there are no vibro-weapon type specialists in the classes. Think Gamorrean vibroaxe wielding thugs in Jabba's palace in Ep VI. My guess is that a class like this didn't feel "epic" enough as a character in the SW universe and they are on the right track like that. In a sandbox -type SW game you could not do without them ( SWG ) but in a more storytelling type mmo like SWToR you don't really expect them ( just my opinion ). As a future addon, a scrapper melee class would be awesome.

It's a very rouge-like class with some good support options.
