Alot of Crit gear on the new tiers... any change to the Crit HC?

with all the new gear... I am seeing a huge chunk of Crit rating items, well over the last quotas.... has there been a stealth change to the crit ratio, and the devs thinks we should be stacking crit again?

I have had a good look around the websites.. and cant see anything mentioned.... but I am curious if there is now some real intent to all these stats on our sets.

so do we stick to the Hard cap from 2.0 level.... or is that now going up?

I throw the bone out for ppl to chew on.

Munch now:tran_evil:

The Combat Team stated they would be changing the gain from Crit Rating soon in one of the class question responses (I think it was the Sorcerer one.)

this is exactly why I posted this thread... IF there is a future change planned in crit or it had happened already, it would make cence to put the gear out.. and tweak the calc later. if you have a link to that discussion I would appreciate it.

OK. found this reference by a dev relating to CRIT rating

Crit and other Qestions answered

QUOTE:"The Critical Rating stat is currently adjusted to a level that grants a critical chance with which we are not completely satisfied, and this means that some specializations lacking a built-in auto-crit are at a disadvantage, while specializations like Madness and Corruption that gain utilities and advantages when they critically hit are at an even bigger disadvantage. We will be working to rectify this issue with the Critical Rating stat in the future, and that should alleviate some issues for Madness, Corruption, and many other specializations within the game.

I guess that does imply that all this extra crit rating on the gear will NOT be totally ridiculous with the current CRIT cap... and implies that there COULD be a change on the cards in the future... the fact is we have no timescale... so I think I am going to continue to swap out these big crit bits , and put them into storage for a future change by Bioware:)

But saying that.. PLS update this post with ANY news you have of future or stealth changes to this rating.

They have said it before.. You need to work towards perfect itemization. It wouldn't be much fun if they handed you perfectly itemized gear.

I dont know what class you're playing, but I'm a Sage Healer. 85% of the mods have crit, which I use none of. This is too much work considering it takes a week just to get one piece of gear.

cause u don't know how to min/max and which items to buy.

sorry...that's the fact :D

I don't have any problems to min/max and obv they can't give us perfect items with the right stats.

and obv u know 72/78 comm items have suboptimal enh?

The items you can buy with comms have totally different stat distribution to the tier pieces you get from running ops. The point of BW putting in all the comm gear with crit/alacrity is to force people to customise their mods to get the most of their stats. If everyone could just farm Ulti comms to get perfect 78 mod stats then there would be no point at all in running ops. There's plenty of threads on the forums explaining how to min/max your stats to get the most out of them and they're definitely worth the read.
