Dredged
I had a question in regards to items crafted being bound to the crafting toon. I am a trooper with armormech and I crafted two purple, lvl 50 Rakata items, focused in cunning and endurance for a smugler alt. When crafted the items were bound to my trooper. Why were these bound? And is it possible to craft purple items for Alts that will not be bound?
JacenHallis
Rakata items are meant as a perk for a character having a certain crew skill. As an Armormech, your perk is having nice, inexpensive wrist and belt for your character. They are not meant to be a perk to the account, where you make Rakata stuff for your alts. If you want your Smuggler/Agent character to use Rakata gear, then that character needs to train up Armormech him or herself. If you want to craft purple-quality items for alts, then you'll need to RE the schematics for those items. Honestly, it's a pain in the butt, and I've never felt like it was really worth going above blue at anything lower than level 50. Rautamaha
As far as I know, Rakata crafts are bound in each profession, rest is BOE, no matter the quality.
