When I first read about new companion I was excited. After some time people said you need to have sith to complete all quests... I did no believe it but now I do.

Last component which is missing for me is "HK motivator" which is obtainable in Dromund Kaas- Dark Temple Grounds where only Dark side characters are allowed. I am true republic man and I cannot create dark side characters as I believe only for republic one and I do not support them by crating character and spending my time there as they are dangerous and dark and I am afraid I can be converted to dark side and in a way I hate them.

I was told that I can pay a sith to get this item for me is that true? How is that done? I thought it is bind on character when received ... Is there any way how to recover this last part for quest without creating sith? Or is there any very simple way with minimum time spend there? Thx

Besides i believe the items are linked to legacy so you will have to get item on your own imperial toon to send to your republic toon

Also make sure to mail the tool to your imperial toon to be able to extract item after locating

If it makes you feel better kill off the toon after you have item or bannish him from further use

Roll an Agent. Character motivation of "Preserve the Empire and its citizens from the short-sighted and selfish actions of the Sith Loonies" is perfectly doable.

I don't think you can get someone else to get the part for you. It's bound to your account.

But as a loyal son or daughter of the Republic, you can not allow this valuable technology to find its way into the arsenal of the fiendish Sith , obviously. This mission will be difficult, but here is what you must do. Create an Imperial character, and play it with 100% light side choices, so as not to be tempted by the Dark Side. And, as a cunning double agent, go grab the part. And - and this is the important bit - send it straight to your Republican allies so it does not fall into the wrong hands.

In any other circumstances, this deceit would be below you. But the times are dire and the need great. Go, and do what must be done for the good of the Republic.

Well, there is no other way. So go on and create one of the more neutral Empire classes such as Bounty Hunter and level it up enough to get to Dromund Kaas, or make a level 1 and ask a high level to escort you to the Dark Temple.

I would suggest an imperial agent - consider him (or her) a double agent or a bounty hunter. The light side bounty hunter choices are anti-empire as I remember.

The bonus to Bounty Hunters in this matter is that they quite of then point out that they are now working for the Empire. Or that's at least how I remember it, it's been a while since I last played a BH.

An understandable quandary OP. I too look at the Imperial side with trepidation. They are the enemy. It is hard to imagine that within that throng of Sith tyranny there is hope for a greater Republic. But there is.

Meet Sarah. A slave, turned Sith, turned champion of the Republic. Her's is a long story. Too long to post here. Suffice it to say, that as a slave, she learned the value of freedom. But, she also learned what a corrupting force power can be.

Although sometimes conflicted, she is determined to do what she can for the greater good of all. She understands the good the Republic can do. But she also understands that, despite good intentions, the Republic exploits the weak. It is not immune to the unscrupulous trappings of self interest and power.

And so, Sarah has made an alliance of sorts. She will help the Republic and assist key individuals who she trusts are working for the greater good of all. But, she will do so on her own terms. She will bring down the Sith oligarchy from within using what ever means she deems necessary. The Republic, she will watch carefully.

Sarah will get an HK for the pubs. But she will also get one for herself.

Just do what I did, I rolled bounty hunter. BH's act 1 story has nothing to do imp or whatever and the bonus price is that Mako is cute.

All you need is at least lv 12 and I am full light side BH. 15 will make your life much easier since it is huge zone to cover.

Certainly is -- optionally combined with what the poster said above about protecting Imperial citizens against the sheer insanity of the Sith, combined with Chapter Two of the storyline, is fan-fragging-tastic. I am sooo steal--borrow--adapting that storyline for my tabletop RP group.

You're speaking in absolutes, which means you're already Dark sided. Only the Sith speak in absolutes!

This reminds me of the thing I liked most about playing a Light sided Sith Warrior... All the times I'd encounter Jedi who just wouldn't back down from a fight, no matter how adamant I was at trying to get them to calm down.

Someone who says that dark side is bad and wrong and they stepped from the good way in nothing but true! Also no absolutes in a metter of speaking - just true and how it is.

Play a bounty hunter or agent then. You only need to get to about level 16.

If you absolutely refuse to do this, then you simply can't have HK-51.

Seriously? You'd pay a Sith or an Imperial to do the work for you, because you um..hate us? How is trafficking with us any better than playing one yourself? Who knows we might be evil gits and betray you...we Sith are known for that, lol. Honestly man, make the toon, do the work, then delete it, so it's not besmirching your log in screen or account.

Yes I can imagine to pay them to do that for me so i will not be influenced by the dark side of the force. There are ways to be sure of receiving it like COD in game etc (but as said earlier it is not possible). I can pay for it (not too much) to them as a "nomad" for one-time job as it is normal in bussiness world or use my force powers to make them do my bidding (in fact I can use force-minded trick as some siths are weak-minded so it will work ) I do not want to use it like this but it is for higher good

Now let me tell you my story of my task/quest (getting the last part for new Companion).

As stated in previous posts - I had no other choice but to born a child who will be able to infiltrate the Sith as we are not good in telling a lie or pretending to be someone else. Me (Drahy female Character) and my husband - Felix Iresso - were thinking about making a child as our biological clock are ticking for a long time. One day we finally made it. Our child named Drahycka was finaly born. We tried to teach him good and using Force for protection and good only but Drahycka has his own mind. Felix and me tried so hard to make him good till he fell under the dark side of the Force. He became SIth - Agent. His only wish was to burn everything and kill evrything who stands in his way even his own City - Kaas City - not only him but also his Companion was advising him the same thing.

He did not forgot about his family and so he decided that he will do one last thing for us as we are his parents and afte that he will be gone for good because he wishes to be alone in dark. We told him about the last part which was needed for completing the HK-51 Companion and so he did - he sent us this part and was done with us for good and till now he never sent any message to us.

It has quite a sad ending/story but we (parents) will always hope for return of our son to our love we can provide him.
