To me, my least favorite companion so far has been Broonmark.

Sith Warrior - Havent seen any of Broonmark, but Pierce just seems really braggy

 

Bounty Hunter - Skadge. Skadge. Skadge. Ruined the freaking crew man. Honestly, my BH would've shot him in the face right then and there, just bc that suits her personality.

 

Sith Inquisitor - Talos doesnt rly fit my deal :-/

 

Jedi Consular - All but Cedrax really.

 

Imperial Agent - Scorpio really.

 

Jedi Knight - Haven't seen any of Rusk, but so far what I've seen of those companions I love

 

Smuggler - AKAAVI. Freaking annoying man. Corso can get annoying sometimes but I hate Spar almost as much as Skadge.

 

Trooper - don't know enough about to judge

Jedi Knight: Rusk is not that memorable to be honest. Overall though, the companions for JK are great.

Jedi Consular: Qyzen Vess. God I want to stab his face with a lightsaber. **** ABOUT YOUR SCORE.

Trooper: Yuun. Just doesn't fit with the rest of Trooper companions.

Smuggler: Akaavi and Bowdaar. Akaavi being out of place and not that interesting. Bowdaar story sucks.

 

Imperial Agent: I hate Kaliyo with a passion but understand why shes Agent's companion.

Sith Warrior: Broommark. What the hell is he supposed to be.

Bounty Hunter: None

Inquisitor: Haven't played.

Skadge. Why, why, would I take a guy who threatens to kill me on multiple occasions, almost ruins my bounty, and would rather kill me in my sleep than work for me, on my ship!? It makes no ethical sense, unless I'm suicidal. WHAT was BioWare thinking?

SW - Broonmark is utterly useless. I forgot why he is still with me. Whatever, good parking lot for my old gear.

 

BH: Apparently everyone hates Skadge, I haven't gotten that far but I watched my friend get him and he seemed funny at the time, so idk...

 

JK - I didn't even get a chance to use Rusk before I got Scourge, so he never even had a moment of use. Probably the most useless companion ever, but he's kinda cool as a person I guess. Also, T3 is just a signature astromech R2-D2 replica that has a completely uninteresting story that I almost just want to space bar through.

 

Sm - obviously the signature Chewbacca/Zaalbar ripoff, Bowdaar. Oh my freaking god all he does is complain about slavery. Kind of reminds me of real... never mind.

 

Tr - The Gand guy is annoying and ugly, stupid bug people suck!! In fact most of the companions for Trooper seem kinda tossed in without much thought. I absolutely LOVE Elara though (and she loves me ). Jorgan is... interesting enough.

 

The rest of the classes I haven't played enough to judge accurately but Khem Val is only cool after Act I, I know that much...

Why all the Xalek hate? His personality's not as one-dimensional as all that, he's just reserved: you have to look hard for the hints. It's not easy work I grant, but what I most dislike about him was the fact that I didn't pick him up until after VOSS!

 

And his "mechanical deficiencies" as a tank? Please, you gotta' be kidding me! Kit him up as a 'sin tank, point him at your enemies and let the lightning rip! My (healer) sorc doesn't care how many mobs he pulls, I just heal him right back up.....I've solo'ed H4s - level-appropriate H4s - with him as my tank! Tore through Makeb like a laser through Sullustan jam, including soloing the Imperial H2+ mission without a hitch (the H4 was a bit beyond me on my own).

 

Mind you, in those I set him to passive, pull/cc/LoS the mobs, and THEN let him go to work....tactics make all the difference.

All of them after your first. Seriously, I really only wanted one companion to enjoy adventures with. I hate being forced to invite others who I'll never use.

For most of them, I wouldn't mind this, but I hated my first companion on my JK

Oh god, being forced to play 1-55 with only T7-01...

 

it's like the finale of Chapter 3, spun into a horrible never-ending nightmare.

As for the topic, I don't think there's a companion so far that I out and out hate but for some reason, Cedrax just annoys me. I think after leveling a BH and JK to 50 with both Mako and Doc, both of my favorites, Cedrax is...meh to me.

Bowdaar. All dialogues are about him being slave, how it was bad and how he is grateful. Every single dialogue is whining about it. I hate it.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked all of the JK companions.

 

I actually liked them all too. Granted Rusk doesn't have a very good reason to be there other than his commanders going "well, this guy is going to wipe out whole squads if we keep him in a leadership position but he's got political clout and medals, where can we put him that he won't cause any more trouble?" And my Jedi Knight walked by and said "oh hai :cool:"

 

But apart from the weak reason for him being there, and being more pragmatic than my goody-two shoes light-sider, he volunteers for the obvious cluster **** missions without hesitating and I can respect that. I mean it's not like Scourge is FAR more off base from my alignment, but I get along with him, so I can get along with Rusk. And Doc is just there for the glory or something, and I have to wonder at the choice to make him a romanceable companion, but his conversations are funny. T7-01 is super cheerful/loyal and I probably like him even better than HK-47, and Kira turned the sassy snarky stereotypical sidekick into someone who's story I care about.

 

I am sad that people don't like the Gand on the trooper. I've been a Gand fan since the X-wing series, and was excited about having one on my squad.

Oh, so he is like that? I am fine with this completely.

 

Wonder if having a Gand companion in a military setting was a deliberate send up for the lore fans, because if so it worked for me.

I have only completed the trooper and smuggler stories so:

 

Trooper: I absolutely HATE that Vik guy, I never use him, and would take Jorgen or Yuun as a melee tank instead of him. And he was DRUMMED OUT of the army so That may play a factor into why I hate him.

 

Smuggler: I do not really like any of the smuggler comps, but that may be because I usually play my smugglers as greedy brats with a heart of gold. this is why I re-rolled my gunslinger into a scoundrel sawbones.

I don't dislike Akaavi in the Smuggler's companions, but she kind of serves no purpose for me. I already have like 2 tanks (Corso and Bowdarr, at least that's how I use them), so I never bring her into battles with me. Plus she doesn't seem to get along with any of my other companions, so she's always commenting on them being weak or something like that. She's just not a good fit.

Vette is profoundly annoying, but at least you get a shock collar with her.

 

Kaliyo, on the other hand, is just as annoying--you think you're so awesome, get over yourself already--but I just can't seem to be rid of her. She insists on flirting with me or thinking I'm flirting with her--it seems like half the time I tell her to shut up (which she never does)], she's practically aroused by it, which would be awesome if I didn't find her hideous (and, of course, obnoxious). Kaliyo is that person we all know who thinks they're way, way cooler than they actually are.

 

She also makes a lousy tank; she draws aggro well enough, but she can barely stand up to a strong breeze. I love absolutely everything about playing a Sniper except Kaliyo.

 

Yeah, I can't stand Kaliyo.

It seems to me, that every class got at least 1, some got 2 or even three companions, that are totally a waste of disc space...

 

Jedi Consular: Zenith - that arrogant guy really ruined my nerves. I was there to help him and not only safe his *** but also his cause... and yet he was still behaving like a wookiee.

 

Smuggler: The thing (aka. wookiee) - I refuse to acknowledge it to have a name. I only name beloved pets. I do not name wump rats or rancors. If I could rid my legacy of just one companion, it would be this thing for sure.

 

Sith Warrior: The traitor - Seriously, who thought up that storyline? All through, we are killing friends and foes for the slightest kind of failure, for misunderstandings, or just because... and then there is a companion, who is committing treason and doesn't even have the decency to die trying.. and we cannot kill him. we cannot cripple him. Heck, that guy even gave a snide remark, when my warrior refused to marry him.

 

Trooper: Where to start... my god... the collection of pest and cholera. First we got a grumpy furball... then there is the most ideologically malfunctioning droid I have ever had to listen to. Then we got an explosives specialist, who can only be described as a manical suicide bomber. I swear, if given the chance, this guy would blow Alderaan up, just to see the light show.... and finally there is the ant-guy. When that electronics specialist advised me on the holo, how to disarm the bomb and he was telling me to cut the blue wire... he explained, that the red wire was having a very aggressive coloring... which is a bad thing.. but it was straight in line.. but the blue wire was curling up so visciously... it had to be the blue wire to cut.... seriously? You designed a whole planet story around getting an electronics specialist in your team, who will then decide a life and death scenario based on isolation coloring and a wire being lean or curled? really??

 

Well.. having done trooper as fourth class I at least know that it cannot possibly grow worse now.

Well Akaavi is technically a melee dps but I found her to be a better tank sometimes than the two designated tanks. Plus, I never felt anything for Bowdaar and Corso started to annoy me by the time I got to Alderaan so she gave me an excuse to bench the both of them

 

Personality wise, I feel Akaavi fits the smuggler well (at least a DS leaning smuggler) and I love her because she plays an excellent straight man to my smuggler who cracks jokes at every turn. However, she doesn't fit with the overall team because she is a bit of a loner. The only other companion she respects Bowdaar because he's a warrior.

 

 

 

 

In my opinion, It seems like Akaavi would've fit much better if she was the only companion you got.

I had a whole list here going when i realized i don't have any companion i /hate/ that i know. Note i don't know Skadge or Rusk, who seem to be disliked here...My top faves however have to be [in no specific order]: Risha, Akaavi, Jorgan, Vette, Vector, Forex...All i can think of for now. Probably will be kicking myself later for forgetting someone d:

Quin. I know he's the healer and pretty much the only companion you'll need as a warrior, but I rather have him dead and not have a healer than to listen to his voice.

Nadia Grell is the worst. Didn't pick any flirt choices with her and still ended up with the stupid romance thing with no way to tell her to go to hell, all "options" were really the same. what kind of idiot wrote that

As a BH, Skadge is ok as a personality. Close to death ( I didn't need all that blood anyway), lol.

But his tanking sucks. I use torian. He actually has more survivability, I find, than Skadge, and does a boatload more damage. Both are equally geared lvl 53 in armor, one for dps, one for tank, and Torian still survives longer.

I'm going with the 'Most Pointless' definition here:

 

- Nadia Grell - boring as hell, and her 'Romance' skeeves me

- Rusk - I can't even remember what his Companion conversation chain was. Why would I use him instead of Kira, who is made of awesome?

- Yuun - Interesting they had a Gand, but forgettable (in fact, I forgot his name making this list lol)

- Xalek - Came way too late in the game

- Broonmark - About the only redeeming factor is yay, talz?

- Skadge - I didn't want him on my ship anyway. And, seriously, who'd pick him over Blizz to tank?!
