mara dps is "op" in every way. good utility, burst, and sustained dps. amazing for pvp and pve. juggs are meh. better to go tank than dps if u role one. pve dps is mediocre at best, pvp is pretty ok as lolsmasher (rage spec). Sin dps sucks in pve and is ok in pvp. dont go madness though, it sucks in both lol... sin tanks are ok though.

Wrong about assassins. Madness is parsing quiet high, higher than a lot of other classes (Highest we've seen is around 3.3k DPS by a madness Sin), but yes, it's weak in PvP. Deception is strong in PvP, weak in PvE.

I've made a post on a similar thread about which Advance Class to choose: (quote is reduced to fit this scenario)

If you are going off of playstyle, here are a good set of questions to ask yourself:

1: Mostly ranged class (over 10 m away) or melee?

A: Ranged: Only choice of AC out of the 4 is
Inquisitor Sorcerer
. Similar character from the movies: Emperor / Darth Sidious

B: Melee: Continue:

2: Stealthy and have a good set of moves at 10 m or direct approach and have to be in their face to do decent damage?

A: Stealthy and have a good set of moves at 10 m:
Inquisitor Assassin
. Similar character from the movies: Darth Maul

B: Direct approach and can't be outside of melee range to do damage: Continue:

3: Less squishy without using defensive moves and have still have decent DPS or more squishy but have moves to make you near invincible for short periods of time and have great DPS:

A: Less squishy overall and have still have decent DPS:
Warrior Juggernaut
. Similar character from the movies: Darth Vader

B: More squishy and have great DPS:
Warrior Marauder
. Not really a similar character from the movies. The closest is that an Annihilation spec Marauder is somewhat similar fighting style to Count Dooku but without any Force Lightning and lots more jumping.

Infiltration Shadow (Deception Assassin) is my favorite lonewolf PvP class. In the right hands, can kill pretty much anything 1v1, unless grossly outskilled, or outgeared. In PvE, as others have mentioned, Madness does reasonably well - but it also requires focus and experience to shine.

Warriors shine in a more organized group environment. Juggernaut tank can make a healer reasonably unkillable (provided the healer and the tank are both good). A Marauder can dish out hilarious amounts of damage in the thick of the fight without fearing to get killed prematurely, if he has Guard, or reliable healing (his defensive cooldowns work very well with healers, because they essentially remove the Marauder from damage for a short time, but do not block healing in any way). DPS Juggernauts are also viable. Vengeance is solid for solo PvP, because it's rather well-rounded, but it's less desired in group play than Rage, which is squishier than Marauder Rage.

I wouldn't advise Warrior as the first-time ever class. First, all Warrior ACs are top-heavy (they get their strongest skills and talents at later levels), and levelling can be an uphill battle, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Assassin, on the other hand, is a breeze to level in Darkness spec. It's a little boring in the beginning due to the simplistic rotations, But it's a tank spec, meaning it can take a hit, and it does very nice damage in dps gear.
