Dot classes a bit OP in PvE

I really enjoy my Gunslinger Sharpshooter but because dirty fighting has better DPS guilds are starting to force people to go with that build if they want to raid. Same issue with other classes that use dots, they seem to be the preferred class for raids now.
Any chance we can get a buff to the non-dot classes to bring them up to par with dot classes so were not forced to play a spec we don't like in order to raid?
Using ACT parser my Sharpshooter spec can only get an average of 1504 DPS (5 min) where as I can get 1618 on a dirty fighter spec.... That's a pretty big discrepancy between the two IMO. And thats still shy of my friend who gets over 1700 on his sentienl dot spec.
