  1. The point of this pvp system is to introduce vehicule so they can "create" a new pvp system using vehicules instead of going on foot like it currently is right now. In the Star Wars universe theres lots of fighting in vehicule yet this game lacks it. I just thought it would be a good idea to introduce that world in pvp. I guess vehicules could be hijacked...at that point it would be up to the devs to decide.
  2. It's currently being done in Eve-Online. True its space ships but player vs player in spaceships only without the character is very possible and doable. It can be implemented here as well.
  3. Goal: to get a new experience in pvp with a more in-dept persistent pvp world. Location: On a new planet. This planet will be an open world and only "air" vehicule will be allowed since it will be too large on foot to walk. This is the foundation or the basics of this pvp system. Each guild that has a certain amount of members will have the oportunity to build a base and conquer some or all parts of the planet for total domination. This is only a basic idea and I don't have all the details but I'm sure devs could fill in the blanks without any problem. I wouldn't be surprised to find out I'm not the only one here that thought about this... in fact, I would be surprised if I did. Why this pvp system since we got warzones ? Warzones are instanced and even though that system is good for pvp it has its own flaw. The biggest is the lack of imersiveness of the warzones. Another point would be the reason for the warzones... which in my opinion there is no reason to do warzones except for the pure fun of it if you completed the stories or are just tired of doing stories. This "new" system would be a real time world pvp system which would work at the same time on every server and work in this galaxy. All you would have to do is "warp" to this planet and once your in, you would appear in your guild base if they made one (activated it). Think of a super large map which you have to conquer territories and every other guild on that planet as the same ability to do so. All members would be able to pilot a ship on the planet. The exact mechanic could be debated but that would be the basics. The guild and yourself would have to gather ressources to get the material to build your ships, base and modules in your base in order to help you accomplish your ultimate goal... to conquer the whole planet. Everything would be player driven from the ship your flying to the base your building. It could go as far as the items and equipment from your ship to build as well. The possibilites are unlimited. As you can see, some ideas have been borrowed from lots of existing MMO's like Eve-Online, Shaiya and some other games. The rewards for conquering the territories could be given to the guild to the planet as to the amount and type of ressources could be given to the guild. I'm not sure about a second reward but I was thinking of giving the guild a type of permanent bonus as long as a certain number of territories on that planet was conquered. I could think of +20 % to HP to all guild members or something similar like that. I know I'm asking much but you have to be honest, this would be kind of cool to participate. This pvp would give a more immersive pvp experience to the player. It would also encourage guild vs guild wars, rage against them as well. What do you all think about this idea ?
  4. The concept of f2p is very new so it is understandable that people will make mistakes about facts in this business model. I mean, how can you argue or engage in a convo when that person doesnt understand the concept of f2p business model at the same time have been paying the game for a long time. It's like he payed for candy for a year and then suddendly he gives it to all the people for free and the person who gives it just says to him "sorry kid, thats how its gonna work till now". lol
  5. You sir got my respect... lol for the rest that spitted on me, well I did pay for a couple of months so yes I'm a subscriber so its not because I dont pay I should not complain about it. Its also not because I pay I should ignore it. The F2P model must influence the person to pay money to the people who made the game. Like I said before, the player must not feel penalized for a half complete UI which is the case right now. I don't mind paying for other stuff like access to pvp and more inventory or bank slots... That's fine with me and would glady pay for that. But the UI ??? hell no. Thats the basics lol.
  6. Yes he does, that's the point. The quick bar slots are a vital function in this game like any other similar mmo's that exist online. At higher levels you need to slots to access your character functions. So yes his complaints matters, to me anyways and he's right about it too. Imagine if Bioware made restricions to other UI functions like the map for example or the chat window. Those 2 tools which "could" be removed because the player needs them and uses them all the time. It would cost 500 cartel coins to get them to function and appear. The UI MUST BE 100% functionnal at all times because the player needs it to play correctly especially at high levels. I can imagine the kind of complaints Bioware would get. So with your kind of thinking, you wouldn't mind...which doesnt make sense to me. So sorry if I'm insulting you but you seem to not have lots of knowledge on F2P business model, mmo's and games in general because if you did, you wouldn't dare start a reply on this... really, any "good" gamer out there knows how important the UI is. Most of the time, the UI will determine the success of the game entirely. Gameplay restriction is one thing but UI is a whole different story. In terms of F2P, swtor is one of the most restrictive games I have ever seen in my life. Getting reminded constantly that I have to pay to get this functionality working is already a pain. Bioware is giving me the message that if I'm not paying then I will be penalysed. Do you really want to give that message to new players ? Some advice here, remove this restriction on the UI and let the player "consume" the whole game completely until level 50. Then if he wants more, let him pay more. Thats the way f2p should be. Not the other way around. Right now, people are penalysed because they dont pay for certain features. PS: I do pay for some f2p games which are fine but this one has some pretty wierd f2p business model and "subliminal" message going around.
