  1. Nope. I've run Clouds of Vondoru a ton of times, I know exactly when I should be able to fire missiles. When I have torpedoes installed, I can't fire missiles at the 4 shield generators or the bridge (and the BRIDGE is the whole damn reason you bring the torpedoes, which is why 4 will not cover it). Of course I can fire missiles at everything else.
  2. I find NO way of firing normal missiles at the Cap Ship turrets/bridge on Clouds of Vondoru once you have Proton Torpedoes equipped. Clicking fast does NOT work, seriously. So in effect, using Proton Torpedoes just makes the mission a heck of a lot more difficult. Put your Proton Torpedo tube in the cargo hold until this obnoxious bug is fixed.
  3. Well. From the numbers shown on the hotkeys: My Shock (including the Chain Shock effect) does an average of (719 + (719*0.5*0.45)) = 881 damage. Force Lightning does 1666/3 = 555 damage per second. In a GCD (1.5s) Shock does 881 damage, Force Lightning does 833.
  4. This guide is still great, but I'm a bit uncertain how up to date with launch it is. My point of view is as a level 40 Madness sorc; and I find some parts of the guide a bit at odds with what appears to me to be the most effective playstyle. 1) As Madness, there is no need whatsoever to take the first 5 points in Lightning or anything of the sort. You will have rock solid FP control once you get the Sith Efficacy and Madness talents (Force Lightning becomes a Force gainer). It's probably a good idea if you're going endgame PVE. I'm uncertain about how big the effect from Exsanguinate is (the 6th/7th points in Lightning). I'm going to respec to Corruption soon and test if the FP efficiency talents are needed there. 2) Once you hit level 34 and get Force Storm your world gets turned upside down. For a group of any amount of non-Elite (or harder) mobs, your tactic simply becomes Death Field - spam Force Storm until they're all dead. Force Storm does almost the same DPS as Force Lightning to every single target. There's no limit to targets as far as I've seen. You should mention this spell a lot more. After level 34 I find myself casting Force Storm more often than Force Lightning... 3) Shock. If you have the FP, insert Shock at every opportunity. Also, consider the Chain Shock talent for leveling. It's great DPS. Quite FP-ineffective, sure, but considering how fast Seethe replenishes your FP just getting that Elite/Champion mob down fast might be your best choice overall. I find myself using it very often on non-boss single target fights (yes, I solo bosses sometimes too...) 4) I'd like to see a greatly expanded companion section. Personally I find having Khem Val out as a tank essential at all times. (Remember, I'm level 40 and Madness spec). I just can't play with a DPS companion. The marginally higher DPS doesn't outweigh the damage you will take fighting even a group of 3 normal mobs. Khem Val is one of the few AOE tank companions in the game, and for good reason. Let me mention Force Storm again. I'd like to know what kind of playstyle makes using a DPS companion effective for a Madness sorc. 5) One gripe, not about the guide, but something in the game which the guide could perhaps discuss: Does anyone else feel there's just way too many abilities? At level 40 I have effectively run out of hotbars, at least reachable hotkeys. Do we really need Electrocute, Jolt, Creeping Terror all doing "pretty much the same"? Which abilities do you find yourself never using? Personally I have five: Saber Strike, Thrash, Tumult, Cloud Mind (does it work at all?) and Lightning Strike. I also very rarely cast Dark Heal, but I find it necessary to have on a very accessible key for emergencies. I feel that I need 15 very long and flexible fingers to play a Madness sorc effectively in PVP...
  5. Excellent thread, I completely agree. "You are already casting that spell" or whatever the red center-of-screen error message is not something I ever want to see.
  6. Same problem since beta. Doesn't happen very often, but it DOES consistently happen. Seems mouse input is suddenly "reset" to staring right up into the sky.
