  1. So I was watching w YouTube walk through of the JK, and the guy playing it had already changed his armor from the default to something out of the Cartel Market before his character entered the opening Cutscene (so in this case when the JK first arrived on Tython and steps out of the shuttle and meets Syo (I think? Maybe someone else)) Any idea on how to do this?
  2. I was bothered by Andronikos accompanying my Sorcerer because I never used him outside of the time I was required to on Tatooine. For this reason, it kind of bothered me that he was the one who came with me opposed to Ashara, my love interest and apprentice. Hell, I would have even been okay with Xalek, my Sith apprentice, coming with me. Anyone but Andronikos. Perhaps its just the pilot of your ship that comes with you? I guess that would make sense.
  3. I mean, I really don't care at all about adding gay romance into the story or keeping it out. Either way, its just a game and I'm cool with it. I will say it makes me kind of chuckle at the realism of the game when you do add it, because you'd essentially have to assume everyone in the Star Wars Universe (or everyone you meet, anyway) is bisexual. To me, that just isn't realistic.
  4. Here's the deal - This story, while good IMO, suffers from being a "one size fits all." I don't care how the devs try spinning it, no Smuggler is going to be able to face Arcann (if at all) in the same way that the Emperor's Wrath, the Hero of Tython, or a Dark Council member can. The way this story is built, the big fights don't make sense no matter what way you spin it. On the one hand, there is no chance in hell that a Smuggler is going to defeat Arcann in any scenario ever. That would be like Han Solo throwing down with Sidious in Episode VI. Not only would the viewer not believe that's possible, Han himself would laugh at you for even suggesting he was capable of that. On the other hand, the Emperor's Wrath, the Hero of Tython and a member of the Dark Council should not be thrown around by hardly anyone, and certainly shouldn't play second fiddle to his/her companions. That would be like (as someone pointed out earlier I think) Yoda facing Sidious only to have Starkiller, an inferior Jedi, come out of nowhere and essentially say 'back up, I got this." I made an instant 60 just to see how this story played out, and all of this still bothered me. I am weary to run through with my Inquisitor, Warrior or Knight because I know I'm going to be bothered by the fact that they and their power are given absolutely no respect by the people who created them (the writers, I mean). I wouldn't even consider running through with my Agent, BH, Smuggler or Trooper because I know for a fact that they're outclassed and outmatched by Arcann and Vaylin. IMO, all four of those classes' power (with the exception of maybe the Smuggler and the BH) derives directly from their faction. In this story, their faction is essentially powerless, so how exactly do they themselves have any power? And why on earth were they chosen of all people to accompany Darth Marr on his ship, and why did Valkorion pick them to succeed him, especially as a non-Force user? To my earlier point about faction power, I read a few pages back someone said that Agent should "call in an orbital strike," and I found myself asking "From where?" The Empire is most certainly not in striking distance of Zakuul, and orbital strikes don't just produce themselves, they come from flagships. I got a little off topic, but this is basically my rant on all of the ridiculous issues with this story. That being said, if it was packaged as a console game like KOTOR with a brand new character with no real backstory other than being a powerful Jedi (or Sith I guess), it would be in contention for Game of the Year. KoTFE would've been a great KOTOR 3, but I'm not too hot on it as a SWTOR expansion.
  5. Never thought of how cool this would be to play XD. I may just try this.
  6. The Warrior is from royal blood, right? So in your own personal "lore," you could have your SW be the son/daughter of your Inquisitor, who is whatever race you chose. For me, it was a Rattataki, but it could be any race. This isn't meant to be factual, since everyone should play how they want to, its just a personal reflection.
  7. Hey all, So I've been playing through the SI storyline, and the more I think about it, I don't think that a Twi'lek could be the SI in canon. The SI is descended from Kallig, who wore a mask which clearly couldn't be worn by a Twi'lek. The game also heavily suggests that you're "supposed" to wear it once you become Lord Kallig, or at least when you fight Zash. Otherwise, why have an entire mission dedicated to recovering something you couldn't even wear?
  8. What species (include gender if that matters to you) do you think is the best and worst (if there is one) for the lore of each class? Mine is as follows: Jedi Knight: Best - Human Male, even though it is kind of boring. You're seen as the "prodigal son" of the Jedi Order, and in my experience most of those Jedi are Human Males. Worst - Mirialan/Miraluka, I don't think these races fit because of their inherently strong connection to the force. In my opinion, their powers are almost wasted on a class that focuses on heavy armor and lightsaber combat. Jedi Consular: Best - Mirialan/Miraluka, both races have an extremely high affinity for the force, and seem to fit particularly well for the Sage subclass. Worst - None, I think all races could fit well into this class. Trooper: Best - Human/Zabrak Worst - Twi'lek/Togruata, only because they can't wear helmets Sumggler: Haven't played, so I can't comment Sith Warrior: Best - I think any race could fit well into the Sith Warrior storyline. You could even take an alien race, like a Rattataki, and fit it into the "royal blood" lore by having them be the child of your Rattataki Inquisitor. I'm currently running a Togruta SW where she is the child of my SI and Ashara. Worst - I do think it feels better to play this class as a Male in a race that can wear helmets, but all can fit honestly. Sith Inquisitor: Best/Worst - I think every race besides Twi'lek, Human, Pureblood and Chiss works here (even the Republic races). The Inquisitor says the Imps thought it "would be fun to use my people for target practice," and that he/she fought back, and they made him/her a slave. It doesn't make much sense that the Imps would hunt down Humans for sport, and that the Inquisitor would call them "my people." I also don't think they would hunt down Purebloods and Chiss, simply because of their prominence in the Empire. I don't think Twi'leks fit because the SI is descended from Kallig, who wore a mask that a Twi'lek couldn't wear. The storyline also heavily suggests that you should be wearing that mask once you become "Lord Kallig." IMO, I think Rattataki fits in this storyline expertly, but you could even fit Mirialan into this class well if you wanted to. Bounty Hunter: All races work fine, I just hold a grudge against races that can't wear helmets here. Agent: Best - Human and Chiss, because both of these races have a prominence in the Imperial Military. Worst - Any race that can't wear a helmet, but that is my own personal preference. In some "Agent Lore" a Twi'lek could work really well.
  9. The Rakata are the sole reason for Revan and Malak's rise to power, why trust anything they say? If I ever get the chance to kill a Rakata I take it.
  10. Didn't know about Naboo, just figured since it seemed to be an established planet it was discovered. With Malgus, I figured that a fall like that would've killed him, but I guess that didn't stop Maul. As for the time and money, you're probably right, but a guy can dream can't he? Hah.
  11. So think about this, SW:TOR obviously has been losing subscribers (Which birthed 'Rise of the Hutt Cartel'), so what better way to bring people back than to create a totally new faction? The first step would be to delete the stupid flashpoint where you kill Malgus, that was always a bad idea. With that flashpoint gone, it opens up the New Empire to be the new faction. It can include all the old races, but this major add-on would also be a great opening to add species like the Togruta, Cathar, Natoulan, Kel-Dor, and maybe some others. With this new faction, they could introduce all new classes inspired by some of the others. For example, maybe you could have Dark Jedi in there that follow a traditional rise up the Jedi/Sith hierarchy, but in Malgus' new established order (they would have to come up with a cool name for this). They could adopt a homeworld on a planet like Naboo maybe?. This class would serve as the equivalent to Consular/Inquisitor. Then you could have those Honor Guard guys that were in The Clone Wars and that Palpatine used in Episode VI. They would weild lightsabers and be like a military "branch" that Malgus and people up in the hierarchy deploy to do various things across the galaxy. This class would be more of a Knight/Warrior and Imperial Agent/Smuggler hybrid since they wouldn't use the force. As for the other classes I'm not totally sure....maybe something like an New Imperial soldier who rises through the ranks to become a moff (or whatever new name Malgus could decide to use) and then maybe you could reuse the Bounty Hunter class but have more of a traditional Jango/Boba Fett kind of storyline. They could also make a class for Sith/Jedi who convert to the 'New Order', who could maybe serve as the typical JK/SW. I'm not sure, feel free to put class ideas below! They could also design totally new ships, which would be pretty cool for the new classes. Another great thing is that they could introduce multiple new planets from the movies and from the EU like Naboo, Mustafar, Geonosis, Ryloth, Manaan, Kashyyk, Felucia, Mon Calamari, etc. Please comment on what you think and anything you may also think would work! Thanks!
  12. Oh ok, thanks guys. I just wanted to move my main to be with my others, hopefully on Jedi Covenant but I'll take whatever they give me!
  13. Not to complain, but why doesn't Elysium have a destination server yet? We have like 100 players on a good day.....no PVP or Flashpoints or Heroics are possible...
  14. So this is going to sound very stupid, but I can't seem to get past level 15 on any of my characters. What happens is that, somehow, I get to around level 13 or so and I get a class quest. That class quest says I should be 15 or 16, and therefore I'm not strong enough to complete it. I go back and I've done all of the side quests, what can I do to keep at the proper level for my class quests? My first thought is that I should do Heroic quests, but my server (Elysium I think?) is too under populated, so I can't find anyone to do any........suggestions?
