  1. Being delayed is not the same as not coming at all. The changes mentioned to warzones will most likely hit in a week or two, be patient. Why being so hateful against his defense, he atleast states something useful
  2. I love how Sorcs say that merc nerf was needed and cry about their own nerf. Truthfully yes, mercs was a hard nut to crack in PvP, but this often invovled using cooldowns that are available once every 2 minutes. If more than 5% of the playerbase knew that heals could be interrupted it would be an entirely different story. Sorcs was the strongest healer 1.1 and still seems to be the strongest healer in 1.2, i don't see why they feel to ***** about be slightly more conservative about their force. Its not its as bad hit as Mercs who can use 2 heals and then wait unless he wants to go out of ammo.
  3. :: Double Facepalm :: Seriously, thats the best you can say? So you never use your AOE heal? Thats your loss. I am not suggesting that you use your AOE for the only intent of bringing up your health, but as long as you have it casted upon a melee or ranged grp where you can stack along you can almost use 1-2 taps free of cost. Thats exactly what i mean, the 1.2 will seperate the good from the bads. From your previous statement it seems you fall into the latter.
  4. It's hard to argue with someone who doesn't try and see through his own beliefs, but i will try anway. Yes, an advantage to BHs and OPs is the free to cast heal, but healing 600 in a GCD is hardly a gamebreaking mechanic and i believe it is in place to alleviate the fact that their resource is much more limited in short term in comparison to sorcs. Now BHs can charge up and tap this, where BHs previously would restore 16 heat this could often be used wisely to make sure that regen would stay at top, its not only 8 heat which sadly in most situations won't make a big difference to our regen. Also, in 1.1 BHs had a burn phase where we were allowed to spam our 2 main heals for a good amount without running high on heat. This has however changed now, casting our only 2 heals that can output an high number now costs 5/12 of the total resource. If we have to keep our regen, we cannot cast anymore spells expect Rapid Shots for about 5-10 secs. If we do our regen is ****ed. That means we can output at best 8-9k healing before we have to regen. Try and compare that to what a sorc is capable of. A BH rotation now consists of over 50% Rapid Shots to manage resources. So.. 4-5 times higher than your sorc, you must be playing awful then, I am able to produce 450k healing and 100k damage no problem in a warzone, not a rare sight either i've seen other do better. Can i do that on my Bounty Hunter? Yea sure, sometimes. Probrably a bit less healing though. Stop putting words in my mouth, have i ever said sorcs were perfect? No. Force bubble is a good substitute for the defensive cooldown the other classes have, is it equally good? Perhaps not, but sorcs provide one thing, BHs another. You have better utility to help your teammates than a BH do. Can BHs shield others? No. Can BHs pull others? No. Can BHs escape a dangerzone? No. My evidence are based on experience and data gathered from 1.2. I together with several friends have tested the various healing classes as stated earlier in this thread where i also mentioned sorcs in a PvE scenario still manages the highest HPS follow by a operative then a bounty hunter. Don't belive my numbers, go check the PTS forums and read those who actually contributes with feedback instead of making assumptions. First of all, if you have thrown a AoE heal and stand in that, in about 4 seconds duration you have gained free 8% force. You say that in 35 a BH can come back to complete, but thats also means that the BH cant cast anything in that duration. Thats another luxury of the sorc. Sorcs don't have to be afraid of being at 20% force or 80% the regen is exactly the same. I really don't want to discuss this anymore, sorcs resource management is still fine. I and 2 other sorcs on PTS have no problem whatsoever in PvE scenarios to keep up. And hopefully you'll see once 1.2 hits that you won't either, and if you have problems then you need to rethink your gameplay.
  5. My comments are actually only aimed towards the healing part of sorcs and not the DPS as i've never used that spec, sorry if i made some confusion on that.
  6. The saddest thing is that your serious in what you are saying... Lets take it from the top... Firstly, i hope you are well aware that the ability to restore heat/energy is a 2 minute cooldown that restores about 50%. As a sorc we have the ability at ANY time to restore force to push out some healing, a luxury that the other classes doesn't have. Of course there should be repercussians for using such a spell. Sorcs regen aren't as powerful as the other classes if you want to use that word, however we have by far the largest poll overall which enables sorcs to push out long sustained burst healing that other healing classes are not capable of if needed in some situations. Do you really expect each class to function the same way? You are really narrow minded, don't assume nerfs happen in a vacuum. If you expect balance to be 'same mechanics for all', then i wonder why even have more healing classes? So lets talk DPS, i don't play a operative but what exactly do they have that makes them a better DPS than a sorc as healer spec? And what does Bounty Hunters have that are not a channeled spell except our Rapid Shots? Other than that, we have 2 spells that useful, Unload and Power Shot and they aren't all that powerful especially after the nerf. Considering the spells costs 1/4 and 1/5 of our total heat these spells cannot be used in PvP anymore due to our high heat costs. This makes Bounty Hunters almost useles to deal damage in PvP. So that leaves Sorcs as the best DPS in my opinion. Survivabilily, what does scoundrels have and bounty hunters that allow them to escape? Thats right, nothing. The other healing classes have some defensive cooldowns, yes thats right. Bounty Hunters has a 2-minute cooldown, and heavy armor. However, the damage mitigated by heavy armor is easily made up from the damage absorbed by shielding. Again, balacing doesn't work in a vacuum, each class brings something different which is each classes performs stronger in certain situations, you can't expect sorcs to be strongest overall. All healers are very much under pressure from interrupts, i will really not comment anymore on this. "So, once again, we find that the other healers perfo as well or better as healers, are tougher, can do more damage to defend themselves, regen resources twice as fast, get a free ranged heal, and don't have to pay 3000 damage to recover resources" Once again you assume something that you have no data to backup and its all based on either personal experience and pure speculation and not empircal evidence, in other words not useable. Do you expect the class that have the highest resource poll to also have the strongest regen or atleast equal to the other classes? Sorcs still have the luxury to gain resources on demand, something neither of the other healers have. Yes it does come at an expense, but what is best, letting your tank die or losing 6000 health and heal him up? Yes sorcs doesn't have a 2 minute cooldown to restore about 50% of the total force, but BH's and OPs doesnt have the ability to gain resources when most needed if said ability is on cooldown.
  7. Sorry to say, but you are really pulling stuff out your arse to try and back your thin statement. Lower surviveability might be true in some case, but do you care for PvP you have to take teamplay into account, sages have better escape mechanism than lets say Bounty Hunters which somewhat makes up for this. Identical CC - Whats your point thats almost identical between all classes no resource management - Are we talking about the same game? If not you prove to be the one who will look even worse when 1.2 hits, i won't go offensive here but if your not managing your resources already on 1.1 your going to have a ******** of trouble in 1.2. Better shape up. Lowest DPS for a healer - I somehow think that operatives have the lowest DPS. And bounty hunters healing DPS gets a nerf in 1.2 Gimped burst heals - How exactly? Sorcs obviously have the highest sustained burst heal due to the bigger resource poll than other healers. Oh and if you haven't noticed several people, including our own healers, have concluded in end-game PvE that sorcs still have the highest HPS so again your statements doesn't hold up.
  8. Your not supposed to be casting AoE heal for your own ego purpose, i hope you know that. I'm not saying that'll it be up the entire fight, but atleast it to some degree mitigates the nerf. I really hope you don't expect sorcs to perform as they do on the live servers in 1.2. With proper play, especially in teamwork situations, the nerf is hardly as bad as people make it to be. Hopefully people realize that when 1.2 hits live servers, the thing is though. Bad players will be worse and good players will stand out more with this change, this also counts for Bounty Hunter healers. Thats a change i atleast approve of.
  9. Yes, you have to adept but your not ****ed like people make it out to be, you still have plenty of of force to cast from before even going out of force. If your worried about PvP, heed these words. You'll probrably be dead before running dry in 1.2, especially rated. In PvE you can just soak your own AoE heal or get a healing when tapping, it's by no means a game changer and you can 'almost' play as you do now. I in some part like the change, it enforces more strict and smart play, and not just a rotation that relies on your proc.
  10. The reason i state imaginary numbers is because 99% of all those who cry about the nerfs haven't had any PTS 1.2 experience. Currently we have a few healers on PTS who have been testing out rotations and such and sorcs still seem like they will end out as the strongest HPS healer, we had a sorc topping 2300 HPS while Bounty Hunters have been between 1100-1400 and operatives in between. There haven't been any testing done in PvP yet though. But i agree, Bioware should really have prepared character copy for this, that could have prevented alot of the crying as well giving a larger data poll to analyze from.
  11. Sorcs already had resource problems in PvP? Thats a new one to me, our sorcs never complained about that neither have i had any problems keeping up as long as i remembered using my procs. Now, image playing a bounty hunter, using your 2 main healing spells costs 5/12 of your total resource poll. I really don't want to argue to which healer will become worst or nerfed mostly, the thing is people just need to stop making assumptions about how badly they were nerfed when they have no empircal data from the test servers to support their claims, personal experience prior to 1.2 and imaginary theories does not help anything but to create a massive whinefest that we are seeing right now
  12. How about you review the data yourself before making assumptions that balance is worse than 1.1?
  13. I'm getting sad by all these sorc nerf cries, yes sorcs got a nerf but firstly compared to bounty hunters it doesn't seem that bad, and lets face it what are you basing your assumptions on. With no prior "HPS/DPS" meter we have no idea if these nerfs were needed or not. People need to understand that your personal experience does not reflect the actual numbers for each class. Quit your whining until you can test it out yourself and make comparisions to other classes. The logs i've seen from various healer classes show that each healer performs pretty closely in PvE enviroments. TL;DR: Stop crying on nerfs on assumptions and personal experience, especially when you have nothing to compare with.
  14. If i could make one change, it would be something to do with crowd controlling. In my opinion crowd control in Warzones are a tad too much, with the amount there is going on it often makes the fight feels slow paces as one is constantly rooted or stunned. This is probrably due to almost all classes having a stun, snare effect, interrupt or something like that. In some cases this removes to ability to use smart tactics such as fake cast, which is a technique i loved to master in another MMO. But due to almost all classes having an interrupt with such a low cooldown its just too unpredictable to be able to master it in any way. I think there are several ways to diminish the effect of CC for the better. While i would prefer make classes more diverse in what they have to offer, ie remove stuns/interrupts from some classes i know that probrably aren't going to happen although i would love to see less homogenisation than there currently is. A solution could be to either make expertise affect the duration of CC effects, or make resolve function as a kind of diminishing return, ie 0% resolve equals 100% cc duration and 50% resolve would for example equal 50% cc duration. In short, less Crowd Control more pewpew
  15. Grats now go do him on NiM next week, we didn't notice the difficulty change and one shotted him when we did it
