I agree completely, my guild has reduced the inactivity limit to 15 days and have limited the number of alts each player can have in guild and were still consistantly brushing up against the 500 limit. Currently we are debating whether we should stop recruiting all together but its hard to do when you have players wanting to invite their friends and people they adventure with. We also dont want to make a sister guild because that would destroy part of the community which we have built since server mergers. I know that Bio said they were going to give guilds some love in upcoming patches but honestly were not feeling it.
  2. I am deffinately looking forward to another mannett Point Maniac event, that looked awesome on youtube. I want a shot at one of those titles. How active is the guild overall Elrikee? Republic side only or is there an imperial side as well? Iv'e visited the website that you have listed and its very busy seems like there are alot of things going on.

The way i'd like to see it work is to leave the missions railed as they are now but also give us a free flowing exploration mode for space, which would include other missions and seperated levels for piloting. The extra and different ships could come from piloting levels... the key to this is to seperate piloting xp and land leveling xp. The space fx especially would be nice if they kept the consistancy of the current missions depending on the planet in which you are travellinbg around and over. Pretty much keeping it the way the railed mission are right now.
  4. I have read quite a few posts on this topic and I feel like adding my 2 cents worth. I also miss everything that came with the old game expansion... (Jump to LightSpeed). The PVE, PVP, Mining and being able to customize your ships yes I said ships (being more than 1). I also enjoyed not having my flight skill affect my character level and vice versa. In SWTOR they gave us amazing stories, companions to help us when we want to solo play, the ability to group easily with others when we want to but I do feel they failed on the space race at least up to this point. They gave us an escape pod on our ship but made no use for it I cant help believing that it's there for something that may not be out yet but is in the works for coming out. What I would like to see is exactly what SWG gave us seperate my pilot ranking and character level even if its just something that I change in my preferences, open space exploration and flight even if the graphics for it is less amazing than they are used to giving... because the space missions that they have now really does have some amazing scenery and is probably very difficult to maintain on a neverending open space area. I also think that PVP space missions would be something else, I can imagine a FP style introduction to a PVP event where space dominance is actually the goal. Personally I am a Bioware fan and enjoy their stories and games, I can understand that this is their first MMO and that therer is room for error. I think most of all what BW really needs to learn is that gamers especially those that play MMO's are very demanding and dedicated to those games that have and give them what they want. I think that Bio begins to really understand this we will get the things we really want like off the rollercoaster.
  5. I agree that a few adjustments made can be a whole new start for the game. Im deffinately worried about the effects of the F2P option coming. This opens the door for credit farmers and open advertising for it on Fleet clutterring chat channels moreso than they allready are. I would also like too see the dark/light decisions actually mean somthing again in game... I miss having limited items based on my character choices. I would also like to see my decisions actually affect my game other than having to purchase more companion gifts. Non railed space missions along with more custmizable options for my ship and droid would be a great start. I mean really how many C2' s were made exactly the same way without any type of customization. Maybe we can trade them in with some credits for an upgraded model or something. I also was very dissapointed with ONLY railed space missions and it seems they lost out on a big group with the decision to keep it this way. I would also like to have ship customization beyond parts I cant see on my ship, a paint job would be nice. One thing I would like to point out is that all the time I spend thinking about what I wish would have been done to make the game better doesnt take away from all the things they have done right. I really have enjoyed the game they have created and plan on staying subbed to it for a while as long as the changes they make are for the better FOR THE WAY I PLAY.

I also would like to see some world events, it shouldnt have to tie into real world holidays but it would be nice to have a new rakghoul outbreak for Halloween, maybe even a new limited space mission for character specific toons at different times. Christmas would be a good time to deliver goods to a needy planet with my smuggler or even some eels to Hutta with my BH. Even if the event lasts only for a week and the itmes granted from it are purely cosmetic or even simple credits or daily coms. I would welcome the diversion from the dailies at least on the Holidays. I personally wouldnt even care if they didn't put special loot items in for these events... just the diversion itself would be good enough. (BTW A very good suggestion)
  7. I se the point your trying to make but the one thing I dont like about it is that in game email, to include storyline email would get all mixed up. When I logg in with my BH I would pick up my guardians storyline mail as well as the messages from my smugglers AH deals. Also they made a change to Legacy names where I can at the time of creation use the same name as someone else, the legacy names are no longer unique. (Me, my wife, and daughter all have the same legacy name now).
  8. Just to add my 2 cents worth... I think this could and would work to the benefit of all player sif there is a clear and distinct benefit to sub players. I personally have been playing since Beta and I enjoy the game for what it is. On one side of the token I can see where I will now become bothered by more Trolls, Farmers and other players that just want to join the community to disrupt normal gameplay just because they have nothing better to do and its FREE. On the other side of the token this will allow alot of good people to enjoy the game where as before they couldn't because of an unnecessary financial burden (after all we are still experiencing hard times). I know they will release more information later on what EXACTLY we as sub players will have for paying 2 play but I was hoping they could at least be a little more descriptive about their intentions so as too keep the community itself at ease instead of creating an unnecessary uproar for no reason. The early details I would appreciate would be along the lines of what will be the new level cap for sub players? How many Wz's, Fp's, and Heroics missions will be available for F2P players on a daily/weekly basis? These I feel are important to me and will really factor in on what I do personally. On another note I hope the company doesnt change the achievement process just because players pay a sub over F2P players because that will change some of the enjoyment factor for me personally. I didnt like the fact they changed the light/dark side restrictions on gems because it was a way to really distinguish ourselves as players and our choices in game. I like the fact that I had to hit level 50 with a species to make that species available for other classes (I am proud to have a Twi'lek BH). Seeing a Sith Consular to me is great I know that player has earned it through achievement. If this is removed than I personally will feel slighted when I logg in and every species class mix is available just because I can afford a sub.
  9. Keeping it short and simple I wanted too see what ideas we had in the community to make our game better (and thats what it is OUR GAME). Please post up what you would like too see and why (This isnt a griping forum.. keep it positive). Personally one of the things I wish BW would have done is left the companions and story lines a little more varied. What I mean by this is created options for players to actually play into the story with their companions, maybe as a male jedi knight I get Kira as a companion where as another Knight might get someone else depending on their story choices. I believe this would have deffinately opened up possibilities for different story plots and endings. It would have also gave a higher replay value to the character classes. As it is what real incentive would I have to making a Guardian than trying the Sentinel? Other than the abilities the storyline is exactly the same. This oversight I think will deffinately create a problem in the near future with player retention. I hope BW decides to add a feature like this in the near future because as it stands I don't think they realized that there are alot of power players out there that have allready maxed out their toons and completed the story lines and are looking at no place to go.

  11. I can truly understand the family tree aka legacy ideas but I do believe that somethings are just to far. Pureblood Sith Jedi and smugglers, BH with lightning abilities are a bit extreme if they do come to pass. For the legacy I would lie to see things a bit more possible in the realms like a Sith Warrior or BH Twi'lek. I also wold like to see it an option to take a second legacy name for each level 50 character maybe I would like a human and a twi'lek legacy without them intertwining with ech other. What about if the legacy name I have chosen for my main doesnt match my alts or my imperial toons? I know that I can choose to exclude it in the title name of the character but no option is available to create a new legacy for that toon. An example is my main is a Twi'lek Jedi Guardian involved with Kira (like so many other players) has taken a legacy name that I feel totally fits him and his profession yet I also have a human smuggler carrying the same last name. I would have like to have started a different legacy with my smuggler and tied it into my human imperial agent which could actally make sense in the overall scheme of things. Now the legacy tieing these toons together would and could give reasonable options to any class special abilities that could function due to legacy for both. Too me this would be understandable. I can also understand that many characters may be force sensitive enough to have special abilities like a BH with a force push may not be as strong or as accurate as a guardian but enough to make a player want to use it. Again I kow there are hundreds if not more posts on this subject and noone will probably even read this but I still wanted to chime in on the subject.
