  1. If slicing isn't making you a lot of credits, you're doing something wrong. At your level, you should have T7 and the ship droid out at all times running "plug the leak" and "azure databanks". Whenever you get a discoverable mission reward from slicing, you should sell it on the GTN. You should be picking up slicing boxes everywhere you go. You should, in fact, be rolling in credits. I have a similar setup as you (Jedi Guardian, level 38, synthweaving / archeology / slicing) and I have around 600k credits at the moment, without really trying. One tip that may help: create an alt and level it until you can move it to Coruscant. Park it in the commerce area. When you get greens/blues/missions on your Jedi that you can't use, send them to the alt and have the alt list them on the GTN.
  2. "Uninterruptable" in this case means that an interrupt ability (all player classes get these, I don't know if any monsters have them) cannot cut short the channel/cast time. You can still be stunned, pushed around, etc. and those will still cut short the ability, just as if you moved or hit ESC while channeling it. Basically, you're reading this ability as "I am immune to everything while using Masterstrike" but the real meaning is "I am immune to a specific kind of interrupt ability while using Masterstrike."
  3. Beat this as a defense/vigilance guardian when I was 26 or 27. I used an endurance stim and a medpack, but otherwise beat him on my first try, albeit barely. I actually activated the medpack at the very end and then Kira finished him off before it would have mattered. Kira survived, obviously. Defeated Praven at level 28 or 29 with pretty much the same setup & outcome. The difficulty on these fights seems okay to me. Tough but certainly doable with little to no prep.
  4. This one really bugged me. I always figured that I missed a connection somewhere, because there was no way the speeder paths would not be connected on the Sith homeworld, right?
  5. Oh god, yes. The giant spaceports would be less of a hassle, at least, if we could ride our speeders through them. I don't really get the orbital stations, myself. Sometimes there's a single quest or a flashpoint droid there, but often times it's just empty. What's the point? How is it adding to the gameplay or the immersion to prevent my ship from landing on the planet itself?
  6. Could be. It's the B-405 Rancor-X Pistol. Torhead and Darth Hater don't give any indications on where it's from. This is the good Captain in his Alderaan Noble gear, which he wore until level 40. All that praise heaped on him on Alderaan just went to his head for a while...
  7. Captain Harlowe Ladies love the chops! Chest: RD-07A spider body armor, from the Gree quests on Coruscant. Gloves: clan varad watcher's gloves, final boss in Mandalorian Raiders FP. Belt: Prototype TD-04B spec ops belt, got this as a world drop and have been looking for an upgrade, preferably darker colors. Legs: RD-05A spider leggings, bought with warzone commendations. black Boots (not shown): RD-05A spider boots, bought with warzone commendations. Pistol: B-405 Rancor-X pistol, not sure where this came from but as a Han Solo look alike, it's my favorite.
  8. As sawbones (level 40), I tend to use Bowdaar, and sometimes Risha, depending on my mood and the situation. Haven't gotten Gus yet. I like Corso and I feel his fighting style really complements a scoundrel. But he's a bit boring as a character, IMO. Bowdaar is not as good of a tank from what I can tell - he takes more damage and wastes time closing to melee - but I just love having a wookie partner. Risha is great because she can take your hand-me-downs. I have trouble using her vs bosses, though. I'm not too fond of Akavi or whatever her name is. As a character, I really have no interest in her. And she doesn't really seem to bring anything to the table that I can't get from one of the others.
  9. This is a lie. At level 80 you get quests to travel to both Hyjal and Vash'ir.
  10. In theory it should be pretty simple. But I wonder if the drops are generated when the instance is created. If that's the case, you don't want to restrict loot to the group that created the instance, because people can drop and be replaced. WoW works like that as I recall, and I imagine there's a reason for it. Not that you couldn't design around that. For example, create loot priority lists for each boss when the instance is created, and when the actual kill comes, discard items that can't be used by the current group until you get one that is useful. Of course, there's the question of farming content for companion gear. If only loot useful to the current group is obtainable, the only companions that can be geared up are the ones that share your armor type & primary stat (or those of someone else in the group).
  11. I know that Bowdaar customization 3 gives you the Chewbacca bandolier and the green vest, but not those brown shoulder things seen in the screenshot. Dunno which customization has the bandolier + vest + shoulders.
  12. I have a level 26? vanguard and a level 14 mercenary. The vanguard I kinda regret. I wanted to tank and bought into the whole "ranged tank" hype, but the reality is that your key abilities are at the 4m - 10m range. And it just felt odd to me to be constantly running into melee to fire my rifle. The mercenary is the exact opposite. It's lots of fun mowing down mobs with the twin pistols - the animations are very cool, IMO, and I love Death From Above. I know mechanically it's the same as Mortar Round but it's just so much more awesome looking. In fact, "more awesome looking" is probably a good capsule review of bounty hunter vs trooper. Anyway, if you want to tank on one of the two classes, I would probably pick powertech over vanguard, as it seems like it would feel more inline with the character type. To me, the trooper should be sitting back and shooting, and that's the commando. The bounty hunter could go either way.
  13. Social rules and etiquette say not to blindly invite people to groups. It's considered rude and intrusive. But somehow he's the jerk for turning down the invite?
  14. If I'm using Corso, I start off with sabo charge and thermal detonator. By that point he's probably pulled someone into our melee range so I jump out of cover and proceed with the dirty kicks/pistol whips/back blasts/etc. If I'm using Bowdar, I might send him in first and sit back with charged blasts and grenades, or I might get in close, as the mood strikes me. I rarely use CC (level 31 currently). Vital shot is a waste against anything that isn't at least elite. You should be able to kill a normal mob well before the DoT completes, meaning that the GCD and the energy spent on making the shot was at least partially wasted. Azaranth alludes to this in his 1st post above, but one thing to remember is that the scoundrel is pretty much a melee class with a handful of ranged abilities. It seems like you want to sit back and shoot, which you certainly can do, but we're better off fighting up close. Anyway, I'm levelling as 100% sawbones right now and haven't been having issues killing stuff in varied ways. And if I do get bored with killing something, I turn on stealth and sneak past.
