  1. I know it has dropped on Tattooine. I think it's a tiny chance to drop from anywhere tbh. And yes I have one
  2. Next we will not be allowed to use sniper rifles. Or any other weapon. Anyway, bitter, yes - cos the change is nonsensical. Marksman isn't the strongest of the sniper specs to begin with, so why are they nerfing that one particularly?
  3. OS could have been nerfed in any one aspect (delay, cast time, damage, set bonus) and it would have been enough. Instead BW opted to just nerf every single thing about it that they could. Incremental changes to achieve balance? That's absurd! Let's just nerf the f'in thing into the ground. Apparently devs care more about statistical parity (if even that) than class flavour. This change is so idiotic, I can't even get my head around why anyone would think it was a good idea. Usually you can see their side - but here, there just isn't one. They could at least have changed the name too. To Useless Ability You Don't Need on Your Hotbar. Or Bunnystrike. Or whatever. It hits less hard than a wet noodle now. Yeah, 11k with decent crit rate over a period of 9 seconds ... 11k is what a smasher can do instantly. Just ... no.
  4. That WOULD make it a lot easier. But it would also make it impossible to taunt the orb off and for the tanks to take the hit - which is quite handy.
  5. Not all classes have these get out of jail free card abilities, so it makes your group rather more class dependent. Plus repeated mines on the same people will wreak havoc anyway with cooldowns being what they are.
  6. A game stopping issue with your primary raid content should be hotfixed. Lazy *****.
  7. Well yours is an opinion - mine is fact. So yeah no point in arguing if you're just going to make stuff up.
  8. I'm sorry, but that is retarded. If the majority prefers something, it makes zero sense for a company reliant on a user base to do the opposite.
  9. How will a 64-bit client improve the game? None of what you have said so far is true. In fact just maintaining two codebases is likely to make bug squashing a lot harder, and therefore will make the game worse.
  10. Err what? The game proces isn't capped at 3 gb ram if you are using a 64-bit OS. That has nothing to do with whether the SWTOR client is 32 or 64 bit. So uhm yea, what you're saying doesn't make a lot of sense. The client doesn't use 32-bit "emulation" - it's native 32-bit. Unleashed speeds things up solely by caching game files in memory instead of having to read them from disk. Loading textures from ram to gpu will always be faster than from disk to gpu. It's basically the same speedup you get from any decently modern SSD now. So uhm. What??
  11. Odd, I'm using a sata3 SSD, and I barely have any load times - the only thing that takes a good while is Corellia. Otherwise we're talking seconds for zoning in to pretty much anything. My CPU isn't fantastic, an about three generations old intel core thing. I just went from 8 gb to 24 gb ram, but that made no real difference to load times. So it has to be drive related imo. Those are two separate issues. Going to 64-bit wont mean anything to you or I. The engine being upgraded to something that wasn't obsolete 5 years ago might, though.
  12. Well you know a magical vanguard apparently. I know a horse that kinda looks like a unicorn. My point is you can't balance this game based on the theoretically possible that very rarely is achieved by anyone. You have to base balance in a typical player experience. Vanguard DPS is NOT as good as jugger and assassin over time. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
  13. They're all technically viable, but I've shelved my powertech since 2.0. They are seriously lacking cooldowns in the short duration - high mitigation category that some boss fights now pretty much require. The cooldowns they do have are on very long timers as well. Good steady mitigation does not make up for this, since it's the spikes that kill you. Also the powertech is just not fun to play with the current rotation and absorb mechanic. It's a shame, I really liked it before =/ As for threat, it goes assassin > juggernaught > powertech, with the two first being fairly close. Assassins will be viable from 2.5 onwards, but for progression now they are very difficult to work with. Juggernaughts are the current kings.
