  1. I bought the collectors edition when the game first came out, and never really did anything with it. Other than the digital codes for items and the game discs to install, I never touched any of the other items. I play swtor for a couple months every year or 2 on and off. I just moved to a new home and found the box and went through it and it made me wonder if it's worth anything these days. Or if its just junk. The journal book is still in its wrap, and the darth malgus statue is still in its styrofoam taped up, never been opened. Could I sell the box for anything or should I just hang on to it?
  2. I'm actually happy about the news. Putting star wars in the hands of the likes of Dice and Bioware does not make me freak out at all. I can see Dice making battlefront 3 and bioware possibly making a decent star wars rpg maybe even a new kotor game. And enough with the Madden stuff. Those are sports games, they are all the same. What more is there to do every year than to update the stats, players, rosters, etc? Theres no story, the gameplay hasn't changed, what do you expect? If any other company other than EA had the Madden license, they would be doing the same exact thing. Obviously it's something to be a little guarded about, but the people saying RIP star wars are pretty ridiculous. I for one am happy about this relatively recent spark in interest in star wars, and I think I'm willing to give EA's/Bioware's/Dice's Star Wars try. I liked SWTOR well enough.
  3. I for one love the holiday stuff. I doubt they will next year cuz its kind of chaotic, only 4 months since launch. But I bet in a year or so they will start doing that type of stuff.
  4. Unless I am doing something wrong, I cannot compare what my companion is wearing to what gear I pick up. Whenever I get new loot, I can just hover my mouse over the new item and compare it to what I have equipped. Works great, but I cant do this for my companion. Would it be possible to just have a second bar next to my players comparison that would have my companions comparison?
  5. that says everything I need to know about you right there.
  6. I would like to challenge that statement. Theres no way Alderaan loads in a few seconds. I have a new pc I built and spent 1200 bucks on that can play any game I throw at it, but loading on Alderaan still takes me around 4-5 minutes. Tattooine takes about the same for me as well.
  7. This wasn't really an issue until the legacy system, but now it's going to become a problem. How about instead of having a max of 8 character slots per server, you just have a max of... say, 20 for your whole account. I don't know if 20 would be a good number, but just for the sake of an example, lets just say 20. Server restrictions would still apply of course, but if you chose to, you could apply 16 characters on server, and have 4 left over for any other server you want to put them in. That will solve the problem for the legacy system as well as still keep a limit on how many characters a player can create.
  8. I've played a jedi guardian and now I want to move to the imperial side. But I want to find a server that I know is equally balanced. It would be no fun for me to play in a server that either leans toward either side. Is there somewhere I can see the population of each faction for a server?
  9. is there a reason for this or is it a bug?
  10. Especially when you have players rolling republic who go way dark side, it seems not that far fetched to have cross faction guilds. Also guild leaders like myself won't fret as much about losing members to another faction if we can be a guild that houses all factions.
  11. The people saying Macs aren't for gaming or aren't "optimized" for gaming are full of bantha fodder. The hardware is just as effective for gaming as windows hardware. In fact, it's probably better because all the hardware comes from the same place. When you buy a Windows PC, you are buying all different companies parts that are being put together. It is not a matter if macs are "optimized" for gaming or some bogus nonsense that some people are throwing out. It comes down to the software. Asking for a port of a game for a fast growing operating system is not a ridiculous request. Macs can run swtor just as well as PC's can. In fact, I have a friend with a windows laptop with the same specs as my macbook and my laptop outperforms his when using bootcamp. Saying Macs arent meant for gaming is a pretty uneducated statement, because when you say Mac, you really mean the OS, because the hardware is pretty much the same. The only reason there aren't as many games on the Mac is because they aren't being supported. They are more than capable to play them.
