OwenBrooks replied to playerdriven's topic in Bug Reports
start with this guide from the swtor technical issues forum https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Game-failing-to-launch-on-Clicking-Play/m-p/4809830/highlight/true#M70795 -
The general forum is for general discussion, and the bug report forum is for ingame bugs make a post in the swtor technical issues forum , https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en attach a dxdiag to that post for starters https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799 also mention if you do you get to press play on the launcher ? and what occurs when you do, details like this will help There was an issue with systems below the minimum game requirements but has been resolved i believe, Start with the below known solution for systems that are below the minimum game requirements Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time Copy the following in to the text box and press ok %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad Add the following in the [renderer section or amend if the line exists TextureQuality = 1 GraphicsQuality = 1 Save the file and retry and see if that helps

launcher issues should be posted in the technical issues forum - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en first be sure it was this C++ file you installed https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

@DarkAislynn With the game running try right mouse clock on the speaker icon of your taskbar and open sound/volume mixer and check the swtor slider isnt at 0 (the game needs to be running to see this slider)
-
You will need to call swtor support when the lines are open to fix an account issue you have on your account https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Getting-Help-and-Board-Guidlines/td-p/4806237/jump-to/first-unread-message
-
Just be aware support cannot add any gametime to your account until you call them and get that account issue fixed
-
Support should of already asked you to call to sort the account, and you need to send new screenshots that are as seen in the guide, the ones you sent are too cropped
-
This should of been looked at when you called, The linked ea account is disabled use this link (insert the swtor email address into that link) to reset the password then login on the EA account Be sure to use incognito mode with chrome or delete the browser cache and cookies to be sure it isnt cached if purchasing on swtor.com
-
Single Greatest Decision that EA was too blind to add.

providing there is no account issue and steam is linked correctly then steam purchases work fine as to posting f2p/preferred have always had the ability to post at General Discussion and Technical Issues https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en Bug Reports - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-bug-report-en These are also monitored by swtor -
You need to email swtoraccountdisputes@bioware.com using the email address that is used on the swtor account crazyindox Once you regain access to that account you can unlink the steam account if you want

You will need to call swtor support when the lines are open to fix the account issue ( there is no other way ) should be a quick fix though https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Getting-Help-and-Board-Guidlines/td-p/4806237/jump-to/first-unread-message Be sure to email the screenshots in just be aware support cant add the gametime until you call and get the account sorted
-
late i know but first thing to do is if using wifi to play, either try an ethernet cable direct to the modem or change to 2.4Ghz wifi if using 5 Ghz and see if the issue persists
-
@Dark_Harold You will need to email screenshots per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message Will check your account for issues and if support have your email, response will be in about 3 hrs when support are online for the day As to the eula this is a known issue with steam installs, do get around this for now Start a standalone install using https://www.swtor.com/download once you accept the user agreements , go to that swtor folder and copy the eula.settings file to the following location

Just be aware the swtor key app is no longer supported, it is recommended to use google auth as per https://help.ea.com/en/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-security-key-faqs/ The SW:TOR Security Key App and the SW:TOR Physical Security Key are no longer supported as verification methods. We recommend switching to Google Authenticator if you currently use either of these as a SW:TOR Security Key.
