  1. Hi there! I have a MSI GT780DX 17 inch laptop and it runs a bit warm. I know the cooling is pretty good, but I would feel safer knowing I was doing everything I could to help it stay cool. Especially with summer coming I worry. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on good ones or if they have used them in the past. My laptop is a bit heavy (17 or 18 pounds) so the one I have for a smaller laptop won't work. Thank you so much! I figure the community here would be more helpful and have hands on experience with cooling pads. Pixiey:)
  2. I am still waiting to be able to sit down in a chair!! There have been so many promises that I don't believe any of it any longer until I see it in the game. Being an RP'er I am sad with this.
  3. I truly hate getting dc'd and then having to wait in a queue is just wrong. Very frustrating. Thing is we should not have to re roll onto a different server if you already have characters on a server! That is really rude to say. What should be happening is that you get put back into the game when dc'd. Must be nice to have a isp that is perfect. Mine has strange drops that just take long enough to dc me and within 3-6 seconds come back on. Now this is not Bioware's fault, what is their fault is programming that puts me into a queue. I can't switch providers, there is only one where I live.
  4. This is because a ton of people that made Warhammer joined! I am not sure how long I will stay subscribed yet, I never dreamed I would feel like this about this game. I love the stories, that said the consular is the most boring I have experienced. The rest of my guild is feeling the same way. We are waiting for next month to see how much they have truly improved it and how the legacy system works.
  5. Some of my guild are 50 now and really surprised that there are just the dailies, some flash points and basically a massive grind to get gear. I worry about the fact that I don't pvp, how am I going to be able to get my healing over 400 which is what they want to run the harder instances. I have in no way been rushing and this is my main, I do have one that is about 18 but other than that my highest is 40. I have been playing since 14th of Dec. It is a great game, I am having a lot of fun, but I worry once I get to Ilum that I can't do anything without a group. The sad thing is that if you ask a question, hardly any one is helpful. It is really sad, I am fond of the community of Lord Of The Rings Online, and was hoping that we could have a great community like them.
  6. I came on here today to try to find some other crafters on my server Jedi Covenant, to see about swapping schematics after an hour of searching, I can't find any. I cannot begin to share my frustration with this forum!! I really wish Bioware would listen, people are not going to post on these because it is too time consuming to sort through pages of other server's posts!! You trying to control the forums to the point of making them totally useless. Each server needs a forum of their own. I do not want to know what the other servers are doing that are in my group. I do not play on them, therefore swapping schematics with them would not work. Trying to have events on a server is hard enough. Posting it on the forums, things get lost. I doubt my post will even be read. It sounds like I am not the only one who is beyond frustrated. Why not give it a try, and if you see they are not working take it down but please give it a try!! This is nuts, and people won't bother to use it. I want to spend my time playing the game and doing the forums for a few minutes, not waste an hour searching a group of servers that are not my own.
  7. I have to totally agree with this!! Let us have the option!! I mean some of the Jedi hats are truly ugly.....I don't want to see them..i also wish they made more robes without hoods, not all Jedi wore them...and why all the browns and blacks....hey I got a new robe...oh yeah, it looks just like the last one. What to choose, ugly or ugly?
  8. If we had a dedicated forum server for the server you are asking about, you may have found out that you were or were not in the same boat with other players on your server. Just one more reason to have them.
  9. They keep saying they are listening to us because the game is for us...but I wonder if they really are. Never in a AAA MMO has there not been a server forum for each server. Why would they want to be the first with this garbage? No one will be able to find what they are looking for when you have to sift through pages to find things or beg for a sticky so people can possibly find things. Give me a break.
  10. It only plays like a single player because that is how you CHOOSE to play it. I like to party up with friends and other players to help with quests, storylines ect. If you solo your way through you will be very shocked and then complain when you get to Illum where you will be "forced" to group up. Warning you now...been reading all sorts of posts about that. Myself I am at 36 and enjoying the story, and all the side quests quite a bit!
  11. Okay, I will bite...who is the Big W? Winter Warlock? Wendell the Walrus? I have single player games by both companies, does not mean I will quit the MMO for them, I play MMO's for a different reason than single player games.
  12. Having them helps the community bond and have events. I think this is the first official forums that does not have server forums. It helps with people looking for guilds, trade skills, and all sorts of things. You can even have perhaps some volunteers with moderating if this is the real reason behind not having them. Guild forums are really not a massive help if you are small or just starting out. Well at least we had those here but I think they are gone or will be leaving soon anyway. I think this would be a huge help for players to get together. Thank you for reading. Pixiey
  13. Having forum servers make it very nice for guilds to announce when they are having events. Since they are going to get rid of the guild help with the forums and such making it easy to search this is a much needed thing. Let some of the players moderate it. I have not seen a mmo game site that did not have one. Everyone wants the game to do well, having a server forum helps the community bond together, get to know each other also. I have met some really great people in other games via the server forum. The general forums topics move so fast and easily get overlooked. Posting the server events on the server forums also helps with in game spam. If a player is looking for a guild, doing so via the internet is pretty impossible given how many things they have to search. The server forums help with this. Please give us server forums. It helps players get together and have fun in the game. Community along side a great game equals success.
  14. I don't think some people are getting the point, for me I thought they would be off the beaten path, ect. I don't mind exploration, I love it in fact. It is the precise jumping for some of them that is really quite bad for people like me who are not good at them. Even with practice I won't be able to get some of them due to the fact that I have latency and also I have problems with my fingers. I know this is not Bioware's problem, but when they were first being talked about, if I had known about the jumping aspect of it like the ones on Coruscant, I would have known to just skip them. I am a completionist and this is going to be hard for me I like the lore behind each datacron, but my fingers can't get the jumping correct. I don't mind having to work hard for them, minus the jumping LOL but I am very happy for those that can do it! =) Pixiey
  15. They are taking down the servers for maintenance soon. That said since this is your first launch, with an MMO having too many servers is a horrible problem later on, so they are being careful with not bringing out too many servers. If they have to do a server merge there are all sorts of problems such as players with the same guild name, players having the same names and things like that. Say you got to level 30 with a character, and your server merges and you find out you have to rename favorite character. That is a really big deal or your guild name having to change and all the good ones are taken. That is just the beginning that happens when servers have to merge. Bioware is doing this smart because in another couple of months some people will leave, and you really don't want servers to merge, it causes problems for them too. They also are not putting the servers at max yet either, many reasons for this one is that the servers are getting used to being used a lot heavier than they have been ever. All these things cause strain and you never know when something might have a problem. Like the thing with Taris. It's a problem for some but not others. They have been trying to find the thing that is causing problems, pc gaming is a different animal than consoles. Every pc is different, they all have different components. Its hard. The other thing is that this is by far the smoothest launch I have ever seen in my 10 years of mmos. WoW and many other games had queues over 3 hours weeks after launch. Holidays and weekends will always have more players online. Many people have forgotten how long or frustrating this was, the thing where you fell through the world bug, that one everyone got. Or the ones that other people have talked about. Bioware has really done a great job with this. The early access is smooth, and they have warned there will be queues come launch. I hope those players read some of the dev. posts to understand or wait a couple of weeks to start playing. I am really glad you were able to warn your guild mates about Taris, I look forward to seeing you in the game when you decide to play!
