  1. A quick question from me.... Will you be attending the Eurogamer conference in London towards the end of the year?
  2. I would suggest that almost 2 months in some cases is plenty of time to take action if they were that bothered about it.

    Funny warzone wins.

A few weeks ago, rep vs rep huttball. Hard fought match and I think it was something like 3 - 2 to my team. 20 seconds to go and after being killed I am coming out of my spawn to see the ball carrier and 3 others running down the ramp with a clear goal in line. So I run up to them thinking how the heck can I stop them scoring and low and behold the ball-carrier does it for me and drops into stealth. Losing the ball and game, I don't think he was the most popular person that night.
  4. To be honest I am getting to the point where I wonder why I even bother with PVP. I love it and it's good fun when it's a fair(ish) match. However that's less and less common every day. The reason I'm mentioning this is that once again a well known, group of exploiting imperial players used yet another exploit in a Voidstar match we just played. This is the second time I've reported this player/s in the last week for using exploits and I know that they have been exploiting since day 1. They have been reported numerous times by numerous players but yet continue on with impunity. Being on the republic side it's hard not to feel disadvantaged by a number of factors. The sheer number of imps compared to republic players on the server means that they can farm Ilum unchallenged 99% of the time and easily collect their pvp dailes. The changes to Ilum have done nothing more than put the advantage with the faction that has the greater numbers. The Ilum valor exploit has meant that the already larger population of imperial players now have a much larger percentage of BMs with BM gear. A whole host of exploits in the warzones which the imperials have used (I can say I have never seen a republic team exploit in all my matches) from the one I mentioned above to bringing more than 8 players into a warzone and planting bombs almost instantly. Has again allowed them to win more frequently, quicker and gain valor levels at a much faster rate then people like myself who have tried to do this the right way. Finally because the exploiters are in the majority. Bioware have done nothing to stop this and continue to do nothing. Sure they remove the odd exploit here and there but more are found straight away and the players that have used these and continue to do so carry on without fear of any consequences. As I read on a previous forum it appears that a number of the "duplicated" imp skills are not actually duplicated and more often than not result in a faster and in sometimes instant cast time for imps which for the republic is slower due to animations. I think it's about time Bioware really did look at a way to address both the imbalance within PVP on a lot of servers and to actually address the issue of these repeat exploiters. Too little is being done and it's sad to say but Alderaan is perhaps the only map currently where we may have a fair chance of competing on my server. This is because Voidstar is open to exploits, if you come up against the Battlemaster imp sorc/BH team in huttball then you are melted within seconds in the open at the middle of the map (perhaps this will be playable once we're on a level playing field in terms of gear eventually). Surely it's time that the playing field is leveled...or perhaps I should just reroll to imperial and we can all be lightning wielding, chain stunning exploiters that patrol central assault farming chests and play huttball all day long.
  5. Anyone know when gamestop.ie plan to ship theirs? I pre-ordered my CE from them at the end of Nov due to the lack of availability in the UK.
  6. Just read the dev update on today's waves and have noticed that they have listened to the community and given us an indication of who will be getting the invites today. Glad to see that they have done this and are listening. Fingers crossed that it goes well today, that they finish off November and I see that mail in my inbox in wave 4!!
  7. I think that you are probably guilty of generalising a little there. I've met plenty of rude people of different nationalities but don't for one minute think that it's everyone of that nationality. For the record, the Russian's I've met have been nice guys and a pleasure to game with so far from my point of view.
  8. And you've not inforced her to use an English keyboard? Oh noes!
  9. I would launch it with free rainbows for those that pre-ordered first
  10. Wasn't excessively long wait times to access the SWTOR EGA foretold by the Mayan's as a sign of the end of times? I've never believed the whole 2012 rumors until now. I would say make the most of it kid, just suck it up and enjoy the game while you can. Looks like we only got a little over a year until we're all screwed now anyhow!
  11. Well this certainly convinces me that what the QQers were saying all yesterday was right all along. There's no other option but to let the rest of us stragglers in and open the flood gates now before it's too late!!!
  12. and a normal person definitely wouldn't choose a purple font...
  13. Well it certainly looks more positive today and it seems that things have settled down around here somewhat. I'm still waiting for my invite but I can wait longer. Still can't help but think a little more information around the plans for rollout yesterday would have avoided the majority of the forum carnage.
