  1. I sometimes picture Dasty as a hutt with the voice of a southern lawyer.
  2. I just got home from work, put my son to bed and logged on. It felt like there were a lot of people imp side, and my new rep guild had like 30 people on. It felt pretty busy to me, but I really haven't played in a couple years, so maybe it's just being back, but it really seemed crowded on imp fleet.
  3. Nice to see you still fighting the good fight Nemio! I miss raiding with you guys.
  4. Are you sure you're not a salesman? You did pretty well if not. You painted a good picture, built the value. You came out the gate with the discounted price, I'd usually quote the 15 dollars first, so you have wiggle room, but you closed strong. All and all, a good 7 out of 10. (can't believe i feel the need to say this, not specifically to the quoted poster, but in general. That is a joke, if there are any other salesman reading, trying to get a chuckle.)
  5. Hey everyone, I'm returning after being gone since chapter 12 of kotfe. Been back maybe a week, and I did a fresh install of the game, with NO bitraider this time. I changed the value in the file, as I read here a few years back. My question is this: now that we have a maintenance, is there anything I have to do or change to make sure it doesn't try to give me a streaming client when I download the patch? I know this may seem obvious to some, but I've never had a non-streaming client as far as I can remember back to when I started the game somewhere around update 1.4. Now that I have bitraider gone, I never want it back, and I'm sure there are many that feel similar. Any answer is of course appreciated, was hoping to catch Owen Brooks around but an answer is an answer. I thank you in advance for your help.
  6. As someone just returning to the game after an extended absence, (my son broke my computer right before chapter 13 of kotfe) I am finding myself solo. It is fun, relaxing. I became a raider after I got into the game, in 2013 right when TFB dropped. I was not the best (shout out to Shred, Nemio, Jon and menta for , imo, carrying me all those years ) I had a blast doing it. Now that I've returned to find my guild empty, my server gone, my friends list gone, I have made my best effort to become a soloer. My work schedule and being a parent kinda necessitate my solo playstyle as much as my friends all being gone, but I just dont have the time I used to. It's neat to see it from this perspective, the soloist. I can see the appeal. Tho I must comment. I've lurked the forums almost every day of my jaunt from the game. Seen every fire, and controversy. I dont know what the answer is. I don't who's content is more important. Ideally everyones content should be important and included, within reason ofc. I can, however comment that the us vs. them, solo and story and pvp and operations cage match that happens here is a hinderance that drowns out real commentary and concerns. (in my opinion ofc.) I will also say, that reading through this thread, funny enough has made me really want to group with the people in the thread that have never experienced all the game offers, in a fun, non-pressure way. Then, of course we wouldn't be appreciating being solo players, would we.
  7. I'm surprised people still do this. We used to do it once a week when the event only came once in a blue moon, but now that it comes every month, I really don't see the point. There is only so many barnacles of the eyeless a guy can want anyway. The rare pet is cool though.
  8. This probably goes without saying, but in regards to the email/cartel coin thing; if my 3 boxes are already checked, BW will know this I assume and reward me the coin code? Maybe go in and uncheck, save recheck and save again? As I said, probably a given, but with BW these days, it pays to be sure.
  9. Did someone already say Valkorian?
  10. I am kinda surprised that no one has posted the fine print, and I'm cooking but I seem to remember reading in previous threads on this that you had to be a brand new subscriber or perhaps a new player that had never subscribed before. Now, this is just something I remembered when I read this thread and could be totally wrong. I do remember reading something like that though cause I am also a recurring subscriber and I wondered if I would receive a free month sub. Now if I am wrong, then ya that's pretty scummy. EDIT: Got beaten to the punch, and I remembered kind of correct.
  11. Man, Nemo, looks like you guys are having fun over here on BC again. I will have to log over and see the fellas.
  12. Sorry if this is cliche but I've wanted to say this for awhile. Infernixx nailed it. This is correct.
