  1. So, I stopped playing SWTOR about 2 years ago and decided to come back. The game has changed a lot while I was gone - so much so that I don't really recognize a lot of it. Is there anything you'd recommend for quickly brushing up on new game mechanics? I don't really care about PvP or Starfighting, what I mainly want to know about is how Flashpoints have changed, what the raids are like (One of the main reasons I left was due to how bugged out Soa's raid was), and how crafting has changed (I logged onto my character, went to make some Biochem stims and saw some recipes calling for level 9 mats?) Legacy I vaguely remember, but what's the reputation stuff all about? Also...I kind of sort of forgot the class stories for my Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent and Sith Sorcerer, so...yeah, I ought to refresh myself on that. Anyways, any help pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.
  2. Yeah, the Sith Warrior storyline was my favorite - and it ends pretty awesomely, too. I enjoyed it - all except one part that really irritated me, but that's better than most of the stories...
  3. It's on the launcher and Bioware sent me an email today. Not sure what else you'd like them to do.
  4. My sub is up on Saturday. I'll be back when I can put my characters from my old, dead server onto my reroll server (or vice-versa since my old server is being transferred) - for free. If this was a F2P game, I'd pay for it. But it isn't, and I'm not going to reward BioEA's poor choices they made with more money. Considering how seriously they take the Legacy system, forcing people to pay to unite all of their characters seems to be paradoxical - especially since they would more than likely face another round of people quitting the game in disgust.
  5. Whatever. This clearly wasn't the answer. Account is up on the 16th, I'll wait until they get it right to resubscribe. If I still care at that point.
  6. My Sith Marauder runs around in the RD-06 Eliminator's Jacket - I just stripped the mods out and put in Marauder mods. Definitely makes him look different than all of the other level 50 Marauders running around. However, I don't remember where I found it - that was back in January. It drops on Corellia, right? But where? I'd like to find it for my sniper.
  7. Agreed. I remember when this idea was starting to get kicked around in late February/early March, I was quite fine with the idea of paying for a transfer. Of course, back then I had a lot of optimism about the game. A few months of disillusionment takes its toll, I suppose. In any case, Bioware spent its last reserves of goodwill with me when 1.2 was released and turned out to be a huge disappointment. At this point, I'd rather not bother resubbing ever again before paying to transfer the only character I care about off my dead server.
  8. Endgame. I pretty much enjoyed getting my first character to the end of his class story, barring a couple of minor irritating parts. Although, I have to say that I enjoyed the endgame with my 50 Marauder (when I still had a populated server) FAR more than levelling up multiple alts. The class story lines are alright, but having to do the same side quests gets old fast.
  9. Absolutely not. I've unsubbed until transfers come around - if I have to pay for their mistake, no way am I going to resub, much less pay for the transfer.
  10. I have characters of both genders - all that really matters to me is the aesthetics. For SWTOR, if I like a female voice actor for a class more than the male, that's who I'll go with (Like the Inquisitor and Trooper). In other games without voice acting, it has depended on what just seemed to fit best for the character I was trying to create. My wife, on the other hand, always plays the EXACT SAME female character in every RPG. It's a running joke at this point since it has been going on since KOTOR 1 and has crossed into ME, DA, Fallout, and the Elder Scrolls - and even into our tabletop D&D game .
  11. Agreed. I rerolled onto the Harbinger - which is a perfectly fine server - but I just lost the will to go through the whole process again. Same quests, same trash mobs, etc. I just want my 50 Marauder and his legacy back. So, to the OP, I'd recommend what I'm doing - I unsubbed, my free month runs out on June 18th. I'll resub once they have the server transfers in if I can bring my 50 Mara to the Harbinger or another populated server (and no, I will not pay for Bioware's mistake). If not, I'll just wait until I forget about it entirely.
  12. That part is certainly true. I rerolled on the Fatman initially, but being a west coast player, the lag was a bit too much.
  13. If you're in the mood to reroll as opposed to wait for transfers, I'd try the Harbinger. I'm a west coast player and I rerolled there after my server died, it's generally pretty active during prime time. Edit: Not sure about the Republic side of things, though. Maybe roll a character there and see what the starting planet looks like at prime time?
  14. Sounds reasonable to me - I'm all for a X-Server LFG, but I see no reason to force people to use it who don't want to.
  15. In short? It won't work on a dead server. You have to take BW at their word that they'll (successfully) pull off server transfers or mergers first. At this point, I'll only believe it when I see it.
