  2. there are players that do fine with every class...but gs/snipe is one of the few classes that can be globaled with no real fault on their end, which hurts them a liability in ranked.

  5. I can never really put my finger on why this game keeps drawing me back. I pick up the other games and sometimes sadly my first thought is ..."this is awesome...why can't they do this in swtor" lol. I will try out wildstar, looks like it has a good sense of humor if nothing else, but I'm sure i'll still login to swtor often.
  6. copy the infected game play type from many other games. One team starts as infected Rakghoul players (they could be given a non standard set of abilities, or just have them use all the regular abilities...idk what would be more fun or balanced). One team are the enforcers. If the infected hunt down and kill all the enforcers they win, and vice versa. If an infected kills an enforcer they become infected and join that side. (so maybe again for balance have a non standard set of skills for the infected) Have 2 rounds teams switching in the second round. Just grab any part of Kaon Under Siege FP for the map. One could just use the infected animations that already exist in the game,....or even better let the infected team choose their player type at the beginning from the different kind of infected npc types found in the game (bloats, screamers, mercs, hunters)
  7. they should merge all the US servers, would be much more mmo...and would solve the cross server QQ. if you lag....rename your town to Google and get some fiber
  8. How about a mechanic similar to a mix between voidstar and hypergates. Lets say it is another ship like voidstar, but instead of planting a single bomb on the door the attacking team has 2 ways to breach the defense (and make the defense to breach more fun than a door.....say a series of turrets or defensive shield generators). The attackers can 1. Carry orbs/bombs that do significant damage to the objective.(Hell you could bring back the rocket launchers from the old school Ilum open world pvp area) or 2. Attack the objective directly (would do less damage in the same amount of time as an orb, but could be more fun). Defenders would of course try to fight off the attackers, healers could possibly even heal the objective (idk if that would be a good idea or not....but just throwin it out there). Defenders also get to make use of traps that they can deploy.....maybe make a system where they must agree to a certain trap as each objective is breached. (idk this might be too unbalanced for the team that gets to defend second). Here is the important part....don't split the objectives ....no 2 doors style like voidstar or 3 turrets like civil war....as said earlier not many find solo guarding fun in an mmo. So that it isn't just one big cluster give alternate paths to get to the objective of course (think huttball...there is only an endzone for each team...but many paths to get there). One could have multiple objectives to destroy similar to voidstar....let's say the first is to knock out the docking bay shield generators, then next objective destroy a series of defense droids or turrets, then final objective to slice the navigation system to take control of the ship and jettison the defenders. Then of course have the attackers and the defenders swap. so many awesome ideas...but if nothing else happens just grab up some maps from planets you already have, cut, rotate, paste so that it is mirrored, throw some traps and jumps and make more huttball matches lol.
  9. try the 0-30-16 hybrid for solo q. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZccRrdRrcMMZcMcRs0z.3 gives you quite a bit more control with bubble stun plus knock back root....also you can be somewhat effective as an off heal as energy management is usually no issue at all with that spec. you can bubble your team, good aoe with proc'd chain lightning and deathfield, and good single target with proc'd lightening and crushing darkness *edit* sorry sorc/sage same in my book here is the spec for sage: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600ZccRrdRrcMMZcMcRs0z.3 there are numerous ways you can spend points in that hybrid of course but that layout is my favvorite.
  10. Should have been done many moons ago. One mega US server, One Mega Euro server (dunno about language issues here....but 'merica) the game would feel much more mmo with this population...would end the cries for cross server....and it isn't like this isn't something that will need to be done as this game ages anyway. if you have problems with ping I feel bad for you son, got 99 problems but latency ain't one. oh and bring back 8v8 when you do this kthxbye

  12. i think mara is better as far as class v class output all things considered.....but jugg/guardian is so much more fun. force push someone as your finisher and tell me you don't giggle a little every time.
  13. can they just do another server merger again? 1 east coast 1 west coast. 3 Europe (English, German, French) (or idk 1 Europe with support for all the languages?). This would theoretically make the pops faster....and maybe even a healthier group ranked environment. would feel much more MM in the mmorpg. but more directly to the post....if one went 10-0 you had to have skill, period. I think the rating is justified, I think rewards should be setup for matches played as well as highest rating...as long as they take that rating into consideration when matching teams. As it has been said sometimes you get dropped into a match with 3 sages with 38K HP....and a rating < 1000 vs a team with 3 powertechs and 1 op healer in full min maxed.....then boom goes the dynamite. Not saying that a higher population would actually change the above scenario, but at least psychologically a higher pop would at least keep me queuing. As it stands now I know many that rage quit after 2 or 3 matches with not just baddies on their team ....but the SAME baddies they just had on their team.
  14. this...or even better...just make consumption off the GCD completely....the fact that it dips into your hp for one of the squishiest classes in the game is penalty enough.
