  1. Ok if I understand you completely you think that we are trying to infect the other team. That is not the case in the PVP version. In the PVP/PVE version which is like grief (from black ops 2) you are trying to fight the enemy while fighting rakghouls. In the PVP/PVE version humans from both teams that are defeated are dead with no revives. They do not change in to rakghouls. The are just dead on the ground with no revives like in 4 vs 4 warzones.
  2. Thanks everyone for all of your feedback. Just to make this clear the rakghouls (infected) do respwan. If you have any suggestions please till me down below. I also read a post about lore issues can you point them out because it has been so long since I have been to Taris.
  3. It depends on which type of tank you want to be. I play a vanguard as assault and tactics hybrid spec (casue assault has been nerfed so much). I am a dps but I tank in PVP sort of. I get protection from taunts and try to help out teammates by stunning enemies to prevent dmg from that enemy. If you want to go full tank then go full sheid spec. I know a tank on my server, his name is Naj I think. In a PVP match (was playing with 2 members from my guild) in a 4 vs 4 match (the ones with no revives). We killed the 2 dps after 5 minutes of constant hammering because they had a good healer (but so did we, but didn't have a tank). Then it was just Naj (the vanguard tank) and the heal left. It took us 10 minutes to bring them down. The healer kept heals up while Naj (tank) kept tanking and redirecting dmg from us, if we didn't have a heal (my guild mate who is a commando) Naj and that heal would have won. We finial managed to bring them down. This is a great example of showing that how good a tank can be if it is guarding a heal and heal keeps healing tank. So if you have a healer friend or guild mate who you are good friends with who is a healer and you play together a lot then you should go full tank spec. If you want to be a hybrid tank, shield spec/tactics (best bit for hybrid tanks) you can still tank it out and put out dmg but you are not as good as a full tank.
  4. Hello everyone. Today I just thought of a pretty good PVP and PVP/PVE game type. What if we can play a PVP or PVE game type with empire players as well. PVP version: We are all on one team, 8 players from each faction, that might be cool or bad if the healers refuse to heal to opposite faction. The story/cut scene could show republic and empire forces fighting over Taris when a mysterious force forces the ships down. The ships crashes in an area that is completely overrun with rakghouls. Our players are now forced to work together. Two players are randomly chosen to be the rakghouls. The rakghouls have 5k health and deal 10k health with each blow. The rakghoul's attack move could be called slash, scratch, bite or something zombie like. If the player is defeated then the defeated player is turned to a rakghoul. The rakghouls have a med center inside a crashed ship. The game type is certain minutes long and if all humans are defeated then the rakghouls win. If at least 1 human survives then that human wins. The rakghouls can see stealth classes so stealth classes cant just hide. Maybe there is an objective to the game as well. The force that brought the ship down is a cannon from one of the downed ship and one of the rakghouls managed to find out how to use it. The objective could be that you need to destroy the cannon and then signal evac via flares. Then the humans must survive for 5 minutes. PVP/PVE version: maybe in the PVP/PVE version republic forces and empire forces are exploring a newly discovered laboratory where the rakghoul virus started(or the same story of the PVP version). The empire forces are trying to create a virus similar the rakghoul virus but in a way which gives them control over the rakghouls while the republic forces are trying to find a cure. Our players are either forced to work together or fight each other like the grief mode in black ops 2 zombies. Last team standing wins, there are no revives during the game. It could be 4 on 4 or 8 on 8. The players fight AI controlled rakghouls. Please tell me what you think of this idea down below
  5. Yes but full assault has been nerfed so it isn't very good anymore
  6. Hello all you vanguards out there (and powertechs). I have found a pretty good spec that works pretty well in PVP and gets you a lot of medals. This spec works for me and I wanted to share with everyone else. The spec is 8/13/25. This spec is pretty good for close range engagements. If you used to use assault spec pre nerf this spec might be right for you. The rotation is a bit costly but can burn down enemies quickly if used right. First you want to use IR (Incendiary Round) then Gut. After this you should get the power boost if you use that PVP power relic. Use HIB (high impact bolt) then SS. If HIB is proced use is again or spam Ion pulse until proced. There really isn't a rotation for this spec, just play how you feel. This spec is very helpful if you are taking down a healer or classes that have many cast moves. Try to use Battle Focus whenever off cooldown but try to time it when SS,HIB, and any other move that you would like to use. You will burn through ammo very quickly so make sure you use Hammer Shot (auto attack) or recharge cells and reserve powercell when off cooldown. I have used this spec and have earned a lot more medals then I ever did before. I have been using assault spec and it still is usable but has been nerfed hard so I still use some of it but combine it with tactics and you just destroy people. Also if you use this spec right you can be a teamplayer, use taunts, and stun enemies that are attacking team members. Even if you don't use this spec if you are a vanguard use taunts to help out allies. Taunting results in protection which does help get medals. If you have been trying to put out a lot of DMG but can't do it, please try this spec. This spec may not be able to put out big crits like 8-9 k but I have got 6-7k dmg so it can still put out a lot of dmg over time and not just at once. Now remember this spec is good for PVP it may be useful in PVE but it works best in PVP. If you try this spec please tell me what you think of it down below. If you have any suggestions by all means tell me. Sorry if I spelled some stuff wrong. 7. I have been using my rotation and build for quite a while and it works pretty well but I just feel that now in the new patches it just doesn't work for me anymore. Also am I the only one who thinks that some Empire Classes are just overpowered. Like I have gone up head to head with powertechs and most of the time they gun me down if they are assault spec so could someone tell me what I can do to improve in PVP.
  8. What are good rotations and ways to do good DMG quickly? Also can another vanguard tell me if they have been getting over 6k crits and how. I have been trying but with no luck.
  9. I need to know how my rotation should be for a vanguard with the assault spec. I open up with hammer shot to close the gap to 10 meter and also to get the bonus power from my relics. Then I use Incendiary Round then, Assault Plastique, then High Impact Bolt. Then Stock Strike to proc HIB then HIB if proced or ion pulse to proc HIB. I have been adding 32 power augmentation to some of my gear but I cannot get a 6k crit on anything. I am trying to be able to get the 6k crit on my HIB because I can proc it. Can someone tell me what I can do to boost my player to get better crits and get more DMG. I have Conquer Helmet and chest and Partisan for everything else except for braces and one implant. I do not have a Partisan main hand but a old battle master main hand with the basic PVP stats. PLZ HELP, I can hold my own in a fight but us vanguard lack survivability so if we can put out more DMG we can get the kill without taking to much damage. And one more thing, for all you assault specialists vanguards out there, don't give up on the class, yes we have been nerfed but we can still kick some Imperial ***. VANGUARD FOREVER!
