But does plain old +x to skill not do that. Does that simply raise your skill by x amount to be able to craft higher level stuff. BTW this usually has zero benefit at max skill.

Ok, some dev told us that the Crew Skill Bonuses were a terrible idea and should be removed. They are still there. Ok, then....this forces me to choose one class or crew skill just because it has better bonuses. I can live with that for now but you can AT LEAST explain what the bonuses actually do? I have a similar post about the same but this is directed towards Bioware. We need answer to be able pick our class and skills properly. Yes, these bonuses suck because it pushes/forces you to pick a crew skill that you might not event want. Just because it has better bonuses. It is very weird that nobody seems to know what +x research does....anyone?

Your companions all have various crew skill bonuses and I have sort of figured out what most of them do but I cant seem to find out what +x research does or a clarification on +efficiency. From what I have gathered: 1. Critical crafts do 3 things: Armor/Weapons: Adds a modulator slot Mods: Makes 2 Missions: Gives epic quality crafting materials 2. +Efficiency reduces the time it takes to complete missions by a percentage BUT is there a difference to +x Biochem efficiency and +x Biochem? 3. *** does +x research do?
