  1. Just chiming in here also (lvl 50 Arsenal Merc as my main). I along with many members of the Guild I was in unsubbed. I have about 14 days left of playtime left, but I doubt I'll change my mind. The changes in 1.2 are going to be devastating, especially if the numbers from the combat logs people are posting on the PTS forums are any indication. Too many nerfs + making BH healers worthless + lack of new content = Unsubbed I feel horrible about it too. I really like the game and the Star Wars universe, but I can't see myself continuing to throw a subscription fee at EA/Bioware to play what I feel is practically a "beta" version of what this game should be. They should focus on re-tuning the game itself rather than nerfing every class into oblivion, and that's not even mentioning the whole "you can only use ONE medpac in a fight" issue. I'll see you guys when and if an actual expansion hits and they sort out a lot of the problems within the game.
  2. If you plan on healing, you may want to think about NOT playing a Bounty Hunter once patch 1.2 rolls out. For more information on the absolutely horrible changes that are about to occur you may want to peruse the Public Test Server and read some of the impressions there. Merc Bodyguards are going to be in a very sore position.
  3. Yup. As everyone else is chiming in, rotation is key. To cut confusion, set up your Op windows accordingly. (Group together the people at each pylon). We usually just start from the top and click down (like person on top of Op group clicks first, and so on and so forth). It's pretty simple, and makes it easier to just say "Click" in Teamspeak rather than everyone shouting out names. You shouldn't have to kill more than 1 Acklay, and quite a few times we've burned it so fast the first Acklay doesn't even come out (depends on the puzzle set up though). Also, there are some really useful Apps on the Android and iOS Marketplace for this encounter. So if you have a smartphone you can just load up the App and it tells you how many clicks you need. Makes it super easy.
  4. Lets not forget completely destroying Merc/Commando healing. lol
  5. This x1000. Ok, so they won't drop in EV. What they need to do then, especially to breathe new life back in to EVERYTHING endgame, is to have everything start dropping cool new stuff. An orange that only drops on Kaon? Yes please. New Schematic only obtainable from FE or Battle for Ilum? Sure! Give me some incentive to actually run content again, because otherwise all they're doing is directing me to the next 2 pieces of new content before the next expanion and no reason to visit any of the other stuff again...... ever.
  6. What do you mean? They are both already diversified. I still think that both NiM Ops should drop the Black Hole commendations. *shrugs* Just my two cents. Give me an incentive to actually bother running NiM EV.
  7. Did you have the reset the instance for any reason whatsoever? That's the only time the trash respawned on us. We had issues a long time ago after clearning Fabricator. Cleared out the next set of Murders and was working up to Karagga and some strange stuff happened. We couldn't get back in to the instance so we reset. Lo and behold all the trash respawned. We were pissed. lol
  8. Its very odd. It just seems like they should include BOTH Operations for NiM.
  9. In the fabricator room my guild just nukes the three technician dudes really fast. At the minimum, we nuke the two closest to the droid. Once they're dead usually one or two people run to kill the last one while everyone else DPS's the droid to stop the Murders from spawning. It just takes a little while to get used to and finding a good strategy for your raid composition.
  10. Can someone explain the reasoning behind this for me? According to the patch notes, Black Hole Commendations will only drop in Nightmare Mode Karagga's Palace, and not in Eternity Vault. Strange? Working as intended?
  11. ^^^^ This times 1000. When the March update hits, Biochem will be a thing of the past. People who can CREATE end game level items will be making money hand over fist. I guarantee stuff will flood the market for 1m+ at the minimum. Heck, I've seen Columni Implants on the GTN on my server being sold already for 1.25 million. I can't imagine what a Rakata level piece of gear would sell for that is augmented.
  12. Well first off, I'll apologize for calling some of you "morons". Apparently I was "warned" by the Admins for using such extreme language. lol How can other skills be possibly buffed enough to compete? How about when the update rolls around to be able to place Rakata level mods/enhancements/armor into created Orange items? That is going to FLOOD the market with items literally worth millions each. Biochemists will make no money in comparison to those selling high-level raid gear. That is supposedly happening next month sometime with when 1.2 is released. I sell a variety of Columni Implants all the time. I don't bother with the lower level ones, but Columni ones for for 300-500k each. These require Alien Data Cubes, an item only dropped in 8 Man HM Ops. It takes a lot of my time to get these items so it's not like I'm making money hand over fist. I still don't see the problem with unlimited use medpacs/stims/adrenals. They're practically useless in PVP when you compare them to the consumables specifically for PVP. Also having them in end-game raids is pretty much a moot point. There is no reason why you should be having to rely on using your medpacs all the time. If you are then you need to find a better healer to run with your group because they're obviously failing. Medpacs should be last resort items, not your "go to" for healing. Sure, it's infinite but I don't usually HAVE to use it unless I'm in dire need. Medpacs hardly cost any money as it is, so suck it up please and shell out a few credits yourself. I want other professions to evolve. I don't see the need for Biochem to be nerfed further. The original nerfs, sure, I can deal with it even though I don't fully agree. Completely taking away re-useables from Biochemists will make Biochem completely worthless. That is me thinking long-term.
  13. I'm sorry, I'm Biochem and I make a hell of a lot more money just doing my dailies on Belsavis/Ilum than I do trying to sell stims on the GTN. So sit and think about that, and then get back to me when you actually figure out that it's other skills that need to be BUFFED and not any further nerfs to biochem.
  14. Yeah, especially people who constantly capitalize BIOCHEM thinking it's gets their point across that BIOCHEM is the most overpowered skill in the game because it's BIOCHEM!!!!! Less nerfs, more buffs please Bioware.
  15. The problem isn't with Biochem, it's with the other skills, and we all know that. As for being "rich"? I make more money doing Dailies on Belsavis/Ilum than I do selling the stims on the GTN. Take that for what it's worth, but I'm not exactly Scrooge McDarth by having Biochem as my profession. Bioware should tweak all the other classes and stop listening to people who keep *censored* about Biochem.
