    I don't disagree, but we all know this game can't handle large scale world pvp either.
  3. Agree. My sub is running out in a few days, not solely bc of CCToR, but a big part of it. I have no time for pve, playing against mobs who react the same way every time just isn't what I call challenging, so I pvp. I'll be honest, you do get stunned somewhat less, but you still end up being stunned 20-30 times per game. Ridiculous. BW's PvP Philosophy: Let base pvp off of not being able to pvp--brilliant

    I rolled on a pvp server and I was greatly disappointed to see the quests segregated by faction. I lvl'd 3 toons to 50 and maybe ran across 10 ppl opposite faction. Total fail for a pvp server. If BW had any brains they would have made the factions run into each other more often, in effect, making lvl'ing harder and longer which would help keep subs alive. Then again, one of tor's gimmicks to keep ppl playing is being altoholics by making lvl'ing easy mode.
  5. I'm with the OP. And that's why this mmo is losing ppl...bc they want to cater to fanboys not gamers. They push out crap like the last event bc they know tons of fanboys will love anything that's handed to them.
  6. I don't understand why ppl QQ about hybrid specs or tanks in dps gear. No wonder devs dumb games down, look at these ppl saying, "if you play a certain tree you have to get top tier". Hey, I have an idea why don't they blackout the other trees when you place your 1st point. And stop giving us the choice to choose want gear set we want to play with. And all the time I spent customizing my WH dps using 2 shells from the tank set for set bonus and stacking pwr/surge/crit/acc with the 80 some pieces I bought just to pull 1 mod for thousands even +mil credits over time, not to mention comms...I shouldn't have been able to do that too...even tho devs implemented that system... Kriffing mmo forums /sigh

  8. The tooltip for our knockback says instant, but we all know its a .5 sec or so delay. Countless times I have failed to use our kb effectively bc of this. How many times have you been in mid-air only to get kb, pushed, kicked, stunned, mezzed or grappled effectively wasting your cd and not even get the kb off? Or how about when a player moves away from the blast radius before it's applied? I'm glad they fixed the delay on project, now it's time to fix the other animation delay. I wish our community would hit this as hard as we did with project delay. If it's "working as intended" they need to change the tooltip.
  9. I'd suggest getting the +103 stat bm relics sooner than later.
  10. I am going to get a full tank set, like I said in my 1st reply, but it affects force dmg more than melee and I rely on melee more. When I wear just shield, relic and leggings I still have 1103 melee dmg 761 force. That's a lot more than survivor. 1vs1 I usually don't have any problems against a shadow pure tank, which is a class a shield makes a difference.
  11. I made a mistake, w/no shield I still have 16% def chance, so shield makes a significant change. I think the other poster is saying that mods in the same set have higher end and to stack those. It sounds like mods w/def have higher end.
  12. I have fully customized dps gear, but sometimes I like to throw 2-5 tank pieces on for certain situations. I use WH gloves/legs, 2 bm def relics & bm shield. It gives me the edge to be a good ball carrier, defend and distract ppl well. So, basically with all those pieces I have 23.43% def chance 28.73% shield 36.06% absorb --unbuffed--valor&rakata resolve stim 1062 melee dmg 477 melee bonus 718 force dmg Enough dps to kill most ppl and enough mitigation/def to make 3-5 ppl take some time to kill me, plus maybe 1 kill under my belt. Imo, it's the def chance that is the game changer as it affects all classes. That's better than 0% w/o shield. I noticed many ppl after an encounter would simply avoid me afterwards. I'm going to get a full tank set, but tbh I think part-tanking it is prob better, since you have to stack so much def stats to get the huge stats. I inspect tons of shadow and the pure tanks will have killer absorb/shield, but as the other said, classes play a big part of it being efficient. So, you have to look at it like this-how much dps do I want to give up for extra survivability. Of course, since I'm a power junkie and when the class composition doesn't help the benefits of shield...I go all power and rage kill \m/_

    The reason your "melting faces" is bc lightning is elemental & resistance is lowest of all dmg types, unlike sage/shadows "mirror" attack that's kinetic and mitigated by armor. I really don't understand why BW would have "mirror" classes and choose to give one a huge advantage. I wonder if it has anything to do w/BW's Legacy gimmick aka re-roll to keep subs? and btw I have 50 sorc & sage-anyone who says you cant be viable in pvp doesn't know what they're talking about.
  14. I pretty much agree with Boarg. Dps is needed in wz's, but dmg isn't the only factor in wining. Many times you see shadows posting pics of their uberleet dmg, i.e. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=507180, but upon closer inspection you see the wz this guy won he had more objectives pts/less dmg and the 2 he lost he had higher dmg & less objectives pts... I do miss ST as I began with 31/0/10 & have thought about specing back to it for rwz's, but the consistent dmg from Adjudication and the fact that while rooted or busting FiB around a LOS structure 30m away has it's uses over ST. On top of that, I don't have insta-lift and put 2 pts in IT & 3 in Mental Fort. Plus, Telekinetic Throw is useful for ppl who don't know what kiting is, I liked it but ppl can escape it pretty easily. Not saying your wrong, it's all about playstyle.
