  1. Ive managed to play the game via steam.
  2. Was happily playing the game, closed it down, went to log back in, the launcher updated itself automatically, now when I click on the Play button, it does nothing. Have deleted the swtor installation folder and all its files and redownload and installed the game twice, but still the same. Nothing happens when I click play. No option to scan the files for integrity as its unavailable on the launcher. Have granted launcher.exe and swtor.exr access through firewall and run as administrator. Am able to log in using the launcher AOK, just not run the game. PC spec is AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ram, Nvidia 2060 RTX using Windows 10. Never had any issues playing the game until this recent launcher update. Any ideas much appreciated.
  3. Creating attractive and usable UI seems to be a problem with BW. I guess its too late in the day to make the drastic changes needed to the UI in order for it to look appealing, but at least remove the stupidly thick borders around inventory items, replace with a semi-opaque hair line border at the very least, anything that doesnt burn my retinas. I bet I could knock something 10x better up in Photoshop in less than a day.
  4. As a returning player (not played for many years), I like the second combat style option, but feel its a somewhat limited. Perhaps something like the following would work better in giving players full customisation on one character: From character creation, when you choose your starter class, you receive a holocron for that class. Then through completing activities, world boss drops, flashpoints etc, you get the chance to loot different holocrons for other classes that you can use on your character to swap between classes/combat styles. You can even expand on that system by having a holocron collection legacy reward and perhaps even modified holocrons that work in a way augmented gear works right now. Augmented holocrons are advanced versions which boost character stats. This could even work the crew skills, collecting crew skill holocrons that expand your characters crew skill abilities, allowing you to have all of them on one character.
  5. Just got booted out of a storymode flashpoint, was able to log back in, but got booted again. Now unable to login.
  6. They are not aliens, but one directions fans...
  7. My machine is half the spec of the above, yet I can play swtor full detail and achieve crazy high fps all day long, so yeah, much overkill PC for this game, but still, it will be good to have for future games that require more horsepowers.
  8. I am finding it hard to look beyond the god awful UI each time I log in, and literally in tears at the lack of character customisation. I can forget the game got off to a poor start by its game engine, but surely in this day and age, talented devs can come up with something better than the UI and character customisation that is currently on offer ? I mean, nice clean, simple UIs are IN, amateur graphics like swtor UI are OUT. Why have bad things when we could have nice things, ie. http://bless-source.com/news/closed-beta-review/ Surely this game must be making enough money to devote a dev and graphic artist to quality of life features.
  9. A warzone I would like to see is a race against time onboard a large starship, maybe a prototype star destroyer class ship thats been stolen by gormak or something, and both sides want to take it due to it having such an awesome array of weaponry. Imps start port side, rebs start starboard side. Objective is to kill the gormak captain on the bridge, battling tough mobs along the way, and at certain points on the map, players can cut through to meet the other team for some pvp. Points are given for mobs killed and any objectives completed in various rooms of the ship. Teams have 30 minutes to kill the captain, or the match ends as soon as the captain is killed. I would make the teams 8 vs 8.
  10. Swtor is altaholic pve. Play titanfall if you want pvp - you will get a better gaming experience
  11. PVP damage is set far too high. Fights are over in milliseconds now.
  12. I seem to kill pretty much all snipers fairly easily on my pyro merc. Actually, can have some fun ranged battles with snipers merc vs sniper. Its the other agent Advanced Class - concealment operatives, that I hate with passion (for many reasons lol)
  13. Speaking from Imp side: Single target mobs = juggy Multiple mobs = sin Group healer = sorc Single target healer = operative/bh/sorc IMHO ps. Im sure a powertech can be tank fine too, just never tried it myself so no comment.
  14. Pretty much the same experience Im having since I came back to the game after a 6-7 month break.
  15. On one hand I would prefer slower combat so matches take a bit longer, via reduced damage/healing. However, on the other hand, I would like to see a speed increase via the removal of the automatic slowdown our characters go into when initiating combat. Basically, sprint is removed. Why is this ? It puts our characters into snail mode and sucks tbqh. So run speed = perma on. Reduced DPS/Healing = win My 0.2
