  1. There are guides all over the internet. Check out Dulfy. They are generally pretty decent. And the reason gear increases things for companions other then their main stat (aim, for qyzen) is because, like player classes, each companion has a different role. Qyzen can be either a tank or a dps, and a lot of his gear is aimed more at making him a tank, so it will increase defense, absorbtion, and shield instead of aim.
  2. Sure, if I hadn't already purchased the expansion But I've paid $10 for RoTC, and the $20 for SoR, as I am sure many subscribers have. So, for those of us who do have the expansions, we would actually be spending -more- for the 2400 cartel coins and the game time then we would be if we just bought it at regular price, which is why I was giving the cost breakdown there. Not only that, but -why-, exactly, should subscribers have to unsubscribe to get a deal in the first place? In general, I would just like to see more appreciation for current subscribers, really, rather then what appears to be happening which is more of a 'oh, you're a sub? HA. Nothing for you. Oh? You pre-ordered an expansion? Way to pay to beta. Should have waited for open access, you'd have gotten more stuff then. Mini-rant aside, I was really meaning this more as a suggestion thread for something for current subscribers who already have the expansions, as we can't benefit from the promotion even by unsubscribing, and because -having- some sort of promo for current subs would be a really nice 'yes, we haven't forgotten about you' gesture.
  3. I disagree with that first idea for ops. If my entire raid already has all the gear they need, I don't want to have to run the thing 15 times to get the loot I need because I can only get one piece per run. That's why there's alts. If people want to run the same raid multiple times, they can level alts to do it on. If you need to practice or teach other people, you just don't complete a boss. For mobile gtn, totally agree. It also initially made me think you were talking about having the gtn as a phone app. Which would also be awesome. Guild flagship- Yes. Guild wars- When they first said 'oh, we're going to have guild flagships', this is what I thought it was going to be. And I really wish it was, rather then being a sort of glorified stronghold. Space content: Yessssssss Double xp: Wait. I want to be able to buy the 12x xp.
  4. So, the promotion that you all have for people who aren't subbed and never bought the expansions is nice and great and all, but, once again, it seems you've decided that those of us who are subscribed aren't worth your time or effort. Which is really, really disappointing, since you seem to be trying to -get- subscribers with this promotion. In light of that, I'd really like to see some special for current subscribers who purchased the expansion (particularly the ones who pre-ordered). To start with, the current promotion for people who aren't subscribed and haven't purchased the expansion is that they can get the expansions($20), 2400 cartel coins($20), and 2 months of game time($30) for 39.99. So, in essence, they are getting either the cartel coins or the expansion free. Now, the people who already purchased the expansion obviously can't get the expansion free a second time. On the simple end, why not just give current subscribers 2400 cartel coins free? That is, after all, essentially the equivelant of what non-subscribers who haven't purchased the expansion are getting, price wise. Or, if you want to really show that having a subscription does actually give you some added bonuses, give the people who are currently subscribed, and who didn't subscribe through the current special, 2400 cartel coins and half a month of game time.
  5. I would like to see players have the ability to copy the text from the chat window, such as text from other players and NPCs, so that it can be copy and pasted into a text editor like Word or Notepad. It would be helpful to writers in particular to be able to copy text from the chat window and paste it into a program for the sake of recording character interactions from collaborative stories to be cleaned up and shared or rewritten into a more traditional story format. This along with the current ability to set up chat tabs for specific uses would be great. It would greatly improve on the current method of taking a great deal of screenshots to capture the story bits in the chat window. One of the best parts for me, in playing the game, is being able to create my own content, but it’s a little disheartening to go through the effort of working on an interesting and complex story only to have all record of it lost or to worry about how many stories I can store because I am losing storage space to multiple screenshots. While I enjoy playing the game, it’s also nice to break up the grind with creating these stories, and it’s especially helpful to have this option while other content is not available, bugged, or the game is too laggy to play in other ways.
  6. I want to say it's about 200 credits for the green, 500 for the blue, and 1k for the purple. I'm not absolutely positive of those numbers, though. I -do- know that I'm not even getting those to drop at the same rate anymore. Really, it would have been one thing for them to nerf the scrap a bit. But they have nerfed -everything-, making it essentially unusable. I'd spend less buying mats off the gtn for crafting.
  7. Eric also stated it was working as intended, and wasn't an exploit. So either he has litterally no idea what he's talking about, and should just be ignored from this point foreward, or it was a total bait and switch tactic to get people to buy cartel packs. For some, weird, strange reason, I put greater weight on it being bait and switch as a way for ea/bioware to get more money.
  8. I think the asking for a refund is more an expression of frustration rather then out of any actual expectation that it will happen. I know I certainly won't be buying any cartel pack when they come out in the future, just like I won't be buying an expansion until a good time after it's been released, if even then.
  9. The nerf is absolute ********. It's no more then a bait and switch tactic. I'm sorry, but they let it be as it is for how long? Instead of nerfing the things, they should have *gasp* learned from the mistake (if that's what it was, which I have trouble believing) and, if in the future planned to release another version, nerfed -that- new one. Not let them exist for a fair amount of time, and, after people have spent -real money- to get one, nerf it. I'm sorry, but if a company did that with, say, a car you were buying, it would be a lawsuit.
  10. The nerf is absolute ********. I bought cartel packs in an attempt to get the slot machine, on the understanding that it would work as it did on release. For them to nerf it after the fact, when it's something that people are paying -actual- money for, is absolutely wrong. I find it -really- hard to believe that this wasn't something they did on purpose, either, with how long it went un-nerfed. If this was something outside of the game, it would warrent a lawsuit. Take, for instance, buying a house. You see the house, are told it's x amount for this house, as the house currently appears. You pay the money for the house. Then you are suddenly told "Oh, the money you just paid is actually for this *******r house over here". That's not legal, and shouldn't be acceptable in the game, either.
  11. Regardless of -why- the missions weren't turned in, it -would- be nice for them to have it set up similar to how they have the gree event set up. That way people who reached the rep cap and still had rep items could continue to use those over the following week(s) and then still be able to get the rep items from it. Or so you could just turn in the missions if something happened, even if what happened was you just didn't realize you had missed turning them in once. It's kind of funny that you all got up in arms over someone suggesting something, though, and immediately start berrating a person for making a suggestion that, in a sense, is something that the game -already- does with the gree event..
  12. Pretty sure they are more referring to -what- people are being harrassed for. Straight people don't usually get harrassed for being straight. Or end up beaten up or murdered over it. It's not really a common thing.
  13. It's not neccessarily that the guild is 'LGBT only'. More that it's a safe place for those in the LGBT community. Which, unfortunately, is needed even in games as there are a lot of people who love nothing more then to harrass others about such things. It's nice to be able to talk about your outside of game life like everyone else without having to be careful that you don't mention that you are male and have a boyfriend, or that, really, you might -sound- female on teamspeak but are male. It's nice to know you won't get the boot from a guild for those things, which does actually happen. But most of the LGBT guilds are not 'LGBT only' guilds. Easier to say, LGBT safe, as people who are straight, cis and non-jerks are typically welcome too.
