  1. This was reported multiple times way, WAY back in closed beta and to this day has never been fully addressed outside of one or two "bandaid" patches that have made it happen a bit less frequently. I definitely have it happen a whole a lot more on my Sentinel than my Assassin or Commando. Will it ever be fixed? I highly doubt it. For such a big problem to persist for so long (longer than two years now) one can only assume that the problem is a core game engine issue that can never really be fully fixed outside of a major engine overhaul.
  2. Not sure if trolling or just incompetent at playing easy video games. I've tanked and DPS'ed HM LI many times, and if your DPS or tank are too retarded to interrupt Incinerate (tanks can actually solo interrupt it by themselves; if you're fast enough on the interrupt, you won't get a single tick of Incinerate) and/or move out of the easy to see lightning/fire then yeah, you're going to have a problem with the droid. The only real heavy damage you should be taking is from the uninterruptable channeled spell that the droid occasionally casts on a random player.
  3. Ability delay was improved but never fully fixed. It's less noticeable on some classes but if you play a Marauder/Sentinel, Sorce/Sage, or even a Merc/Trooper (most noticeably on railshots, death from above, and unload) you probably know that ability delay has pretty much just been swept under the rug by the devs at this point. Do a forum search for ability delay and you'll realize that it's still a very big problem that the devs are seemingly turning a blind eye to now.
  4. You're completely dodging my entire point. No where in my post did I say it was impossible to to beat Soa. The mere fact that an endgame encounter as big as Soa is still buggy 4+ months post launch is embarrassing, especially for a company as big as Bioware/EA. "Pretty much everybody" according to you? Do a quick "abiltiy delay" search on these very forums. Since you apparently have trouble with basic reading comprehension, I'll make it simple for you: I was not comparing SWToR in its entirety to WAR but rather its ability delay issues and how it's being handled (devs acknowledge problem after a huge campaign by players -> devs apply fixes that ultimately never fully fix the issue -> issue gets swept under the rug). Let's face it, a game with combat that's practically a mirror image of WoW's should not be having ability delay issues. It's absolutely unacceptable, especially given how much money has been spent to develop SWToR. But what's stopping you from using the default UI if you dislike addons? This has been argued since this game was in very early beta. But the fact remains that having a choice to use addons or not is better than not having a choice at all. I wasn't implying anything, only stating the facts. I'm sorry that it somehow offends you.
  5. 1. Soa was never fixed. Even post patch 1.2, you have people running into many Soa bugs such as: * Soa randomly resetting in phase 3 after a mind trap * Soa not losing his buff even though your raid kills the power sources on the way down during a phase change, causing him to AoE the raid down * Platforms randomly not showing up, potentially causing a raid wipe if it's a platform you need during a phase change And that's just off the top of my head. It was improved, but never fully fixed and is now being swept under the rug. As I said, this whole "ability delay" debacle is a complete mirror of what happened with Warhammer Online. Then give players full reign on how to customize their UI. There is no ability to change height/width of your HP bars outside of scaling, no way to separate your HP/resource bar, no way to increase your raid frame's debuff/buff icons without scaling the entire raid frame, etc. Bioware should have let the playerbase create their own addons and locked API's for stuff they didn't want to be tampered with (e.g. group wide damage meters, threat meters, etc). I never said EA was the developer of SWToR or WAR; I merely mentioned that they are both under the EA banner, which they are.
  6. Have you played NA/EU Tera? There is no grind. They massively westernized many aspects of it to appease their new playerbase. The NCSoft vs Bluehole studio lawsuit has already been settled and Bluehole wasn't found of any wrong doings. However, several former NCSoft & Bluehole employees (who no longer work at either company) were found liable and were ordered to pay several million in USD as reparations. I don't know why this lawsuit would make you hate TERA as it has no bearing on the game itself, but let's stay on topic.
  7. These forums are nothing different from the last 3 "WoW killers" (AoC, WAR, Aion). You have a huge initial subscriber base, then people ultimately quit and "go back to WoW" (ironically, what they're told to do by white knights) and the forums devolve into conspiracy theorists. This is the 3rd official MMO forum where I've seen this kind of thread pop up in. Blizzard isn't spending money on a smear campaign. Why should they when Bioware is literally shooting themselves in the foot as it is. Ability delay still isn't fixed, and it looks like a complete repeat of what happened in WAR (which, I should mention, is also under the EA banner): devs make several posts promising fixes, said "fixes" are patched in, the problem is still there, devs quietly sweep it under the rug. No custom UI, no LFD 4+ months after game launch (whereas competing MMOs like TERA are launching with their own LFD system), several Operation fights still bugged since live (the biggest one being Soa), etc. These are all just a few issues I randomly pulled out off the top of my head since I don't intend on writing an essay to describe what's causing SWToR's subscription hemorrhage .
  8. I don't even know what to say. Going from the item drop rates/amount in EQ (split amongst 72 players in your raid, by the way, before GoD) to FFXI to WoW (prior to WoTLK) to SWToR, I personally feel that SWToR hands out far too much gear as it is. Giving your playerbase all of the items that they want within weeks of a content patch is a surefire way to decrease said content patch's life span, and it's a mistake that Bioware will eventually realize. It's not broken. The concept of raiding has always had a cost associated with it, whether it was EXP loss (EQ, FFXI ; the former having the added fun of you possibly losing all of your items if you couldn't get your corpse back) or money sink via repairs (WoW, SWToR). Raiding had always been a "hardcore" activity in MMOs and this has only changed in recent years (2009 and later). What exactly do you want Bioware to do here? You're already getting commendations which work towards your T3/T4 sets. I wanted to vent a whole lot more but I'll stop here and spare everyone. It's unbelievable how entitled people get with every passing year. I'm going to have to partially blame Blizzard for starting the slippery slope with WoTLK; you give people an inch and sure enough they want a mile not too long later.
  9. This is the only fault I could find with the new website/forum. Honestly don't see what the huge uproar is about; it's far better than the old forum design. Tweak it around to appease some of the whiners, but please don't revert it to how it was before.
  10. So in other words, Bioware is fine with people with a G15 or similar keyboard having an advantage over those that don't. I'm completely OK with this.
  11. I can't believe it took 3 pages before someone mentioned enrage. Which the OP is definitely hitting, btw. Enraged boss = one shot aoe missiles. Your dps players are bad, tell them to play better.
  12. Anyone that doesn't see there being a problem with Heatseeker Missiles/Demo benefiting from multiple BH/Commando Tracer/Grav Round debuffs are fooling themselves. The only reason why there isn't a bigger outcry about it at the moment is because there aren't any combat logs available. I guarantee that once the masses get wind of this it'll be fixed. It really is broken damage; even with just one additional BH in the raid, my Heatseekers were critting for 6.5k+ on Soa. I can't even imagine how much more I would be doing if it was in a 16man raid with 4+ other Arsenal BHs
  13. Have the people that are the same class as the guy you want to gear exit area before a boss dies. It's bothersome to do it after every boss but that's a work around that's always worked for us.
  14. Posts like OP's just irritates the hell out of me. It's like the current crop of gamers simply don't want any challenge at all. Rather than go to the forums and ask for advice/tactics/info, they go straight to making a thread about "Nerf xxxx, I couldn't do it".
  15. Because gear in this game isn't ridiculously easy enough to obtain as it is. Please, just stop it with your ridiculous "everyone is going to quit if you don't meet MY demands right NOW Bioware" hyperbole; it's pathetic.
