I noticed there isnt many funny trooper lines but i remember one I was laughing pretty hard. Something to do with Aric Jorgan, should be one of his companion quest iirc... "Lets report this to General Garza, if he dares to one up her I'd eat my rifle..." Damn attitude but i love it lol...

Elara - Usually for DPS troopers Forex - Usually for Combat Medic Tanno - Usually for Tank Vanny Yunn - Usually for Combat medics and tanks Aric Jorgan - errr.... anything goes? this is the summary i made for myself based on you guys input... of course there will be exceptions but as shown here, people like me gunnery and some poster above who is assault went for Elara for heals and non stop action.... Medics go for tanks like Forex or Tanno... and so forth Interesting

But I hate tanno...

Wondering if there's any FOREX lovers... a pure ranged tank...

^^This One thing is no brainer, another thing is as im not a medic commando, my heals arent enough to migitate damage on Yunn... but thats probably he's not geared up Me thinks... Concuzz round is the only CC we have right?

You sir, are the first person I came across on a forums that uses LOTRO as an example instead of the meh, WOW.... I too came from LOTRO background and totally agree with you. Like in shire you can see hobbits cooking, farming, drinking... enemy NPCs are also going about their activities until you hit aggro range. But i vaguely remember there isnt a cosmetic option when LOTRO first launched. Another thing that captured me from LOTRO is character abilities customization. It first started out with slotting of abilities like 5 in red line 2 in blue line (sorry i kinda forgot whats that called) that give small increase in stats, then totally revamped it when Mines of Moria came out to behave slightly similiar to WoW's talent tree yet unique in its own sense. I totally give it as I can more or less respec, mix and match abilities to really have the playstyle you want... Perhaps we really have to give Bioware sometime to implement all these goodies and I hope they really follow's the LOTRO game design

From the forums most people make out that Yunn is really ****** as a companion so I was looking forward to get him. I tried him out in Gauntlet and in the end, i went back to Elara. I shall list out why, and hopefully someone can enlighten me if im doing things wrong... 1. Im a DPS/Gunnery Commando. I survived much better if Elara is healing me while i pound enemies to death. 2. Yunn's gearing might be a problem, espically his Techstaff, blade as there are almost no custom items associated with that. Even so, I couldnt find a Aim Hilt to go with a custom Techstaff. I could go on AH and purchase one but his default is still more powerful that what I can find so far. 3. This im sure its because I didnt gear him out and used him immediately after Hoth on Gauntlet... but he dies pretty easily. Those being said, he really does good damage even with his default gear. But with Elara I have lesser downtime as I get healed on the move. Im thinking some of you might mention I can heal yunn while he kick ***... If that said I might as well roll a medic Commando... And to add, I probably would use Forex instead... If i can go thru the trouble of gearing him up

I dont think I missed anything out but here are the games I've played Rebel Assault 1 & 2 (my very first, its like rogue squadron) Tie fighter X-wing X-wing vs Tie Fighter (And Balance of power) X-Wing alliance (I was in this fansite, Emperor's Hammer where they kept live ranking of Imperial Pilots) Rebellion (Galactic RTS, i QQed when my just newly built death star got blown up by puny x-wings) Dark forces (Jedi knight 1 & 2, Jedi outcast and Academy) Battlegrounds (Nice Age of the empire game with Star Wars skins ) Battlefront (not that nice IMO) Republic Commando (so so) Empire At War ( Loved the way ships Hyperspaced in and kicked butt) Force Commander ( Loved the imperial Arty) Pod Racer (Anakin's pod is no brainer to win) The rest which i didnt mention probably sucked... Except lego, was fun but didnt really capture my attention

Right thanks for the feedback guys... Guess I shall check out the group dynamics next time before rolling in... I usually take out adds/weak/standard mobs first, if not when i start aggroing the boss i will just scale back my dps doing just Hammer shots (as you guys already mentioned that even though I was a tank in "the other game" but not a tank in this game, I cant really tell how diffcult it is to tank) ... in my case described healer was doing a superb job in healing us all, none of us in a danger of dying so im not too sure how hard they were trying... Shall watch it next time P.S. Still, I find the group a little too uptight especially one fella... oh well... Just glad that most groups are still fun to play with

I was playing a flashpoint with a group, and its the first time something like this happened to me.... Im a DPS Commando, and throughout the instance I was DPSing things, grabbing aggro and stuff... Towards the end the group members got hostile and started calling me names and such, chiding me for not allowing the tank to... TANK... I have grouped with others before and never came across a group thats soooo uptight regarding the whole thing. Really not a fun experience. I thought we are doing great when we blow through mobs after mobs... the only time I let the tank do his job is when theres a major boss around. Thing is, I knew what i was doing, there wasnt a single death, let alone a wipe, we are progressing fast.... So I really dont understand the outburst from my group. When I played other mmos, Im usually the tank, notably Lord Of The Rings Online. As a tank I dont go screaming @ DPSers who out aggro me as long as you aren the cause of a wipe or anything. So, any comments?

I thought by buying lots of reflex mod 4 and Reverse Engineering it I could gain the recipe for it... I knew something was wrong when I almost squandered my credits... Only to realise that I suppose to go to my Cybertech trainer and learn Recipes... *Sobs*... Why.... my... credits... Why cant I do the Qui-Gon style (Credits will do fine...)

I came from LOTRO, no problems for me Sucks to be a WoW player... I really really pray that ******** things like DPS meters and aggro meter doesnt make its way here like WoW To all WoW players, quit whining... go back to play your WoW. Someone mention a few beginning post saying rated 1 to 10... 1 being WoW 10 being LOTRO (for me its 8) 8 being SWTOR (9 for me )
