  1. For some strange reason, every time I see that pop up I have the urge to open my backpack, equip an axe, chop some kindling from a nearby tree, start a fire and use a bedroll.
  2. Hmmm... thought provoking. I'd take Sly Stallone just to hear him say "I am dah laaaaw" ... too bad he's not a companion. Companions... ummm... Maybe Tanno Vik. I can just hear it in my mind, the case is going poorly and he turns to me and says, "Hey, boss." / "Yeah, Tanno?" / "Duck." As he rolls a thermal detonator towards the judge/prosecutors.
  3. The consular was Meh. But I played it Dark side and it just isn't believable when you kill everything in site and the Jedi Council is like, "Well, you did your best." The Knight story seemed basic, enemy is doing something bad, go stop them for the beginning. And even the last acts were relatively plain... but it got more interesting to the end. I'd say roll a knight.
  4. I laughed hard at this, thank you. This put an image in my mind that will stick with me every time I have a weak mob stunned while playing my Guardian.
  5. 5 guildies and myself queued for a story mode KP/EV, popped EV. The two pugs were a tank and healer. The tank was well geared, the healer was tionese/columi, but we're all 58-61-63 level gear so no big deal, we were there for fun and the 10 black hole comms. Tank went DPS spec, after I said I would main tank (which we were all thumbs up for), and he bugged me to guard him (guardian DPS) which I kept refusing because I set guard on a guildie, a Sentinel who could probably solo the damn place. This bugged him, and I heard a bit more about how "lol I pull more dps threat" or something to that effect. Not a bit deal, until the newbie healer asked if there was a quest he had to pick up before hand for the commendations. We all in the guild said no, that it added to his log as soon as he popped the group (as it was an honest question I'm sure many of us didn't know before hand, we were glad to help). Well, the pug tank started to talk down to the guy about not knowing anything and what not. Nothing pleasant at any rate. Well, we're Real Spaceballs. (One of the many "Spaceballs" guilds across all the servers...) We're here for fun, and don't put up with that crap. So we promptly booted his *** and 7 manned the place helping the newbie along. No wipes, no deaths, no fuss. We don't care how geared you are, we're here to have some fun.
  6. I took his point as being he's unsatisfied with his life, because when you're alive all you're doing is eating to grow and poop more, so you can eat more, so you can grow and poop more. He finds no joy in anything that ends up nowhere, like playing a game. To him I say, join us in enjoying the journey, not the destination. You'll always be disappointed.
  7. My first toon was a Jedi Guardian. I was hoping that the story would culminate in an ultimate showdown where I could make a final light/dark side decision that would change my character. Decision was there (sort of) but with absolutely zero in consequences. There is no "fall to the dark side" possible in this game. My jedi are Jedi and no amount of babies they kill can allow them to turn to the sith. I understand why this isn't in the game, but it would be neat if when you hit dark/light 5 a new quest chain opened up that allowed faction switching.
  8. With my guardian, it got to the point that when I did see the icons pop up on my hotbar I was so stunned no matter where I was in my rotation I mashed those abilities hard. It was as if, because they were on a hot bar with keyboard shortcuts, I felt the need to use them. I think another reason is the streamlining of gameplay styles. Meaning PvP and PvE. So new people who PvE are more familiar with the abilities that are useful in PvP as well.
  9. I'm neutral on the topic, but I think it ties in with the immersion of the game. I spent many an evening in taverns in Ultima Online roleplaying with folks as we played checkers in game, drank booze to make our avatars *Hic*, and ran around the bar in our tighty whities.
  10. Aye. Our avatars represent our image in the game world, and in our minds as we role play and become immersed in the game world. Options to wear certain armor designs, with or without the additional fluff are always welcome.
  11. Often I'll run hard mode flash points with three sage guildies. I play guardian tank to their force pullfest. We all get our ribs tickled by this. But I do see how it could be annoying.
  12. Which is purchasable for your ship which quotes his lines from KOTOR whenever you click on it. "I did it all for the the Wookies." "The Wookies?" "The Wookies!" For those who aren't familiar with Jolee Bindo, do a Youtube search for his lines from KOTOR. Bloody brilliant.
  13. I'll give this a shot. The armor rating changes with the armoring. Two light armor gloves with the same level armoring (22 / 23 / 27 etc...) will have the same armor rating. If you have two gloves with the same armor rating, they might have the same item level number, but it might be a different type of armoring / mod / enhancement. This would mean their gloves can have more willpower than yours.
  14. What I don't get, is I thought the Legacy system was designed to encourage us to level other classes. To explore the other stories, to see all the content. And now we're supposed to stick to one class in order to grind something that's also supposed to support the goals of the legacy system? Did you guys fall down and hit your heads?
