  1. He did not mean Theron Shan, son of Satele Shan though, he meant Theran (with a), the scientist. He appears later on, I think he is a Counsular companion, haven't played my space-mage in a while.
  2. They are there, I met them. You have to finish the main story first. btw I LOVE Kiras new outfit. They even have a quest, but I'm not sure if it is bugged, it just ends after a dialog, even though they say we have still work to do. *edit*: Theran is also somewhere along the story.
  3. Impossible Mode sounds like total fun. o.O Hmm maybe you are right, so we CAN expect the new operation this month after all, we just should expect it with Impossible Mode active. Personally I already expect the new patch in october, just too many signs pointing to it. GW2 release in august, MoP in september, new patch in october, about a month before F2P so everything can see the new shiny things and get a taste of it, so we are more willing to pay for it a month later.
  4. I pick Option 1, just because it's so funny and probably sadly true too. All the people saying this kind of thing is to be expected in MMOs etc... well no, just no. Yes there can be bugs in MMOs, I also have experience with this kind of stuff, but this is a total diffrent level. Some code change that has unexpected behavoir is one thing, but a bug this big, that also happens 100% of the time and not just in rare cases cannot be just overlooked. I mean if even two testers jumped on that build and tried the encounter (one on tower, one on minefield with some crazy buffed stats), they would have found it in like 30 seconds. They just did not test it. It's also not the first time, it became a running gag in our guild months ago, that if BW fixes something, they break it instead, someone gave a nice list in this thread already with good examples.
  5. And they wonder why they are losing subs? It's not the first time they "fix" something, just to break it completely.
  6. 1.4 is still not on the PTS and we still don't know if it will have nightmare Denova. Even if it does, 1.2 was several weeks on PTS, we are already in august, so 1.4 in august seems very unlikely. With the F2P news and 2 other games in the same market it may be even possible that they will push back 1.4 until sometime in october...
  7. You could start by fixing very important, major game breaking bugs, right now, oh that's right you don't care about them. If all players in an operation have major lags and delays at the same time, it is our fault and all we get is, check your connection. Well let me tell you that my guild is starting to get the feeling, it's not worth it to pay you anymore. We stood by until now, while we did QQ about missing content (especially nightmare mode Denova that should have been in 1.3), we still did not think about leaving or quitting - until the last raid and your strange F2P plans. Now some of us already have cancelled the subscription, still have a lot of game time left, but if there isn't going to be big changes soon, it's going to be bye bye. Here is the top 3 reasons why: 1) extrem lagging in operations We only raid 1,5 hours a week (since there is no more content) but those 1,5 hours are plagued by so much lags that it becomes more of a pain then fun. 2) Too little content, 4 bosses for so many months and a missing mode that was promised to come a little after 1.2 and still is not here, see the Nightmare Denova thread in operations forum. 3) abilty lag/delays getting out of hand It may be related to 1) but it's been around since day 1, was made a bit better and became worse since 1.2 and the last weeks. Now the funny thing about that is, I haven't seen this kind of problem in ANY game I played so far, which were quite a lot. And it's not pure lag either, on my Guardian I have this all the time, I would even say every 10 seconds or so I loose a global cooldown without the ability going off. It's frustrating and still no fix after so many months. Nobody in my guild was thrilled or happy with the F2P announcement, because we just don't trust Bioware anymore with this game and your advertising for F2P is flashy and all, but full of lies for me, you cannot bringt out more content or fix more (important) issues with less money and less people and in less time.
  8. I don't quite understand who you are referring to Tigzie, I certainly cannot see anyone in this thread bragging, boasting or insulting someone, well maybe except you to a degree. All people did here was discussing how nightmare Denova is a bit late or even long overdue and if Bioware at least could give us some information on when we can actually get into nightmare. But maybe they are afraid they would loose subscriptions from all those who have EC hardmode on farm for months now until they release a new operation? I for one gave some facts and informations whenever the topic came up with comparing it to other games, especially WoW since I do have alot experience with it. I don't favor SWTOR over WoW or the other way around, I find both games good, but recently SWTOR has been lacking on endgame and the technical side of things. I mean really, they said nightmare Denova would come a bit later then 1.2 - fine, we lived with it, but I am sure nobody ever thought it would take so long, if anything it should have been in 1.3. Then those bugs and lags that have been around from the start, still not fixed and it is getting worse, just look at all those posts about lags. And to top it off, almost no communication to playerbase - this thread itself is the very best example, invisible posts from Bioware that would stay invisible for a week, maybe even longer if we wouldn't have brought it up all the time? So what exactly are you trying to say Tigzie? That we should not post and point out things that bother us? Or maybe just post how good everything is? I don't think that is what a forum is for, but maybe I am wrong.
  9. I don't think you're doing something wrong or could do something diffrent. The companions shouldn't be the issue either, because as far as I have seen it on my toons and read from other souces, the healing companions are pretty much the same, just diffrent names and animations for their spells. It's just the difference between the two classes, Assassins/Shadows do have more damage output for one, there was so much discussion about it on PTS forum, Bioware just didn't care. Also the selfhealing of Assassins/Shadows is alot more useful when soloing/questing, because those mobs do not hit quite as hard as an operation boss. The numbers were tweaked for them, so that their healing can make up the difference in lower armor/mitigation, but that also means, the weaker your target gets, the stronger your selfheals become, to the point where you might even heal enough to survive anything, where a juggernaut/guardian would die.
  10. Comparing ICC to EC is really a bad thing ... for EC! ICC had 12 bosses + one extra boss patched (Ruby Sanctum), that is 13 Bosses over 12 months like you said, however, EC has already 4 months and only 4 bosses, so every month that passes will be even better for... ICC. Might want to think a bit more before posting.
  11. This invisible post thing is more interesting then hardmode Denova, I have a few theories now for that! 1.) there is some kind of forum police, if someone else than the usual CM(s) write something, it takes a week for this police to check out if everything is in order. 2.) the flashpoints and operations team sends us information from the future, because they work in some kind of time shifted room! 3.) this thread is totally bugged for all Bioware posts. 4.) a wizard did it. Personally I like No 2 best. But aside from that, that post did not give any new information or answered anything did it? I think most of us already knew that, we even speculated that you want to release nightmare Denova in the same patch as the new operation Terror from Beyond. Which is bad and already a little late.
  12. Yet they even don't care to make the 2nd post visible, this is getting to the point of total MADNESS!
  13. Maybe they did say it in the 2nd BW post, just that we still lack the ability to see it (again...). A very strange thing that only affects this thread or this topic, it's a ....
  14. I think it's neither. In Kotor 1 and 2 you could hear the same samples from lots of diffrent npcs with alot of diffrent meaning. It's just flair. They did not hire some scientists to make it 100% perfect, they just tried to make you feel like you are talking to an alien, don't think you are supposed to derive any real meaning of anything they say.
  15. A bug that was fixed after the downtime on tuesday and patched back in a short time later? You do understand that this does not sound very convincing right? Or at least that someone has no idea what he or she is doing.
