  1. Well if you goal is to get more crit via mainstat, then the resolve augments are the way to go as they give a small crit bonus along w/ the same damage boost ... sorry i dont remember the % / formula but for me at 2774 willpower, i get 7.5% crit from it (currently at 25%). If you're more deception, then overkill augments are fine but u never go wrong w/ resolve augments IMO
  2. Crit assassinates do hit like a truck, so if you need to finish a single target or chop it down, i would still use it as part of your rotation, i look at it as a cheaper maul that the other 2 trees would be using. The only downside to it is that its still a weapon attack and can miss at those times when you need it most haha.
  3. I just tried this on my sin tonite bc im curious too. Max damage w/ 180 hilt at 1814 and after using the Bolsterizer i went up to 1881 I only have an older conq 154 rated hilt that i popped in next: max damage w/ 154 hilt at 1532 (lol) and after using the Bolsterizer i went up to 1873! I'm guessing that in a wz, the bolster is gonna put you pretty close to a 180 hilt for the 158 and 162 hilts so its not worth the 2.5m to buy the hilt if u wz a lot. I open world pvp more, so the 180 hilt definitely gives me an advantage w/ only a very small % difference bc of the 68 less expertise.
  4. Thank you for pulling those links for me - i'll go read up now
  5. THANK YOU SO MUCH! this was the math i was looking for - awesome! Testing a darkness/deception hybrid that goes up to low slash and uses more mauls while still having a huge amount of DR / survivability ... gave up harnessed darkness for low slash, but i think low slash and maul goes better together anyways.
  6. Breaking it is really what I would want someone to do as i can just restealth, and mez and then cap the objective etc. and ya, like above, its a waste of a cc breaker as you really wont be able to react fast enough to make it worthwhile in most cases. if i come from stealth and spike, i can usually get off a maul and a 3 stack discharge (i pop recklessness in stealth) before people really figure out whats going on and then ill low slash or stun if need be and pile on more damage ... thats what the middle tree guys burst does and by the time you can get into things, u could be down 1/2 life
  7. Oh I get it - so that 33% number was just a random number that incorporated a persons armor DR vs. kinetic/energy and the 25% DR from darkswell / dark embrace? haha i was thinking i missed some secret armor formula or something there. thanks again.
  8. Thank you for the informative reply! I didnt realize the game had two types of DR. The second type for Darkswell, I understand the math and numbers, but i was a bit confused on the first part where you talked about: Could you explain the math and the part about kinetic/energy and why its stronger? sorry for my ignorance and thanks!
  9. Aloha all! Searched the forums but didnt really find any current info or answers to my questions. Playing Darkness hybrid 55 and speccing 11 points into Deception to reach Darkswell on tier 3 and was wondering if more experienced people knew if: Does Dark Embrace w/ Blackout activated outside of stealth mode really give the 25% in DR? There is no change on the character sheet damage reduction values, unlike overcharge saber when talented into Hollow. Does Dark Embrace only grant the 25% DR (if it does haha) when you're NOT in stealth mode? I wasn't sure as that would be awesome to use blackout right before starting a fight for 6 secs of 25% DR, then 6 secs into the fight activating it again as blackout's cooldown is reset when you come out of steath if talented. add that w/ overcharge saber and i can get 24 secs of 25% DR
  10. Here's my angle on it looking at the internal / elemental side as you should get over 100% on kinetic / energy: - Soresu 6% - Focused Defense 4% - Force Valor Buff 10% ----------------------------------------------------- (total 20%) - WZ adrenal (dont forget this baby) 15% - Activated Talented Focused Defense 15% - Warding Call 40% ------------------------------------------------------ (total 70%) Now I'm not sure about how Saber Ward's Force/Tech 25% DR works regarding internal and elemental damage, but if it is the same thing, then you're easily over 100%! Yes, i understand its blowing all your cooldowns, but for a true tank guardian, 100% DR is a huge thing and spreading out your mitigation is probably more practical. Its just cool to know that most lvl 50 guardians CAN get 100%+ kinetic and energy DR and 90% internal/elemental DR w/ some talents and normal items.
  11. These packs are a huge problem and are not unique to swtor ... korean mmos have used it for some time now and ive seen how some people can easily spend more than $100 whenever a new pack comes out to chase rares. Its a sick form of addiction dealing and BW/EA are well aware of that motivation and do so because of their greed and lack of care for their customers. A limit/cap per account would be the first step to help ensure that people dont get out of hand - its the people who cant control/help themselves that this would benefit the most.
  12. Cartel Certificates = PURE TRANSPARENT BIOWARE/EA GREED
  13. How did u fix it? This might help someone else w/ the similar problem
  14. Just get back into the grind ... war hero is the new battlemaster ... easy to get w/ regular comms and i just augment and then min/max by pulling select mods/enhancements to tweak my power/crit/surge ... no biggie ... welcome back to the grind
  15. Ackk - nevermind, you were totally right haha ... i had it unlocked and never ran the mission somehow ... thanks again and sorry for the false alarm.
