  1. So are you saying people should pour their money into a something that do not enjoy and is an inferior product to other products? I've seen stores complain like this, "Oh there just aren't the customers" or "they want to shop there? fine let them go" what happens? Those shops close down. People have choice, EA refuses to listen to or give honest feedback to its customers. The game could have been amazing, but it just doesn't compare to current offerings by other companies. I could go on to list why I unsubbed, and my entire guild as well, but I done that already in the leavers thread, where I listed 20 reasons instead of the requested 5. I'm playing a mix of Tera and WoW now, and it's great.
  2. You can't knock consumers for being consumers. At the end of the day SWTOR is just goods sold by a vendor, which compared to other vendors who sell better, more polished product, ultimately fails in comparison. I hate to break it to you, but consumers have every right to complain and give feedback. Consumers are the people that companies like EA are trying to sell to, and while 5% of people out there might be fanbois, it's the larger playerbase that will keep this game above water. In other words, get over it. EA are not as pure as the driven snow, and this product is inferior to most other offerings out there today. It could have been amazing, but out of touch Devs ruined it's chances. People can go on about playing SWG for X number of years, that game was trash too, and no one really played it.
  3. This was my first EA/Bioware game. Not buying anything from either company without the title being out a good six months now. Neither are a company I can trust.
  4. 1. My entire guild left TOR a few weeks ago. (playing TERA/WoW now) 2. I can go a whole night in queue for a warzone and wont get one. 3. Both servers I have characters on are dead. 4. Sick of the no communication and side-stepping of player questions by EA. 5. Two of my characters are useless now thanks to healer nerfs. 6. Every planet feels like I'm boxed into running down little corridors. 7. Lack of addons and basic features MMOs of 2012 have. (and some old ones even) 8. Nothing really to look forward to in the game. (Rakghoul event was horrible). 9. Giving only level 50 characters a free month when many of us have alts which we play constantly, from early access. 10. The whole Oceanic release soured my view rather early on, although I stuck with them for a time. 11. Loading screens that seem to take longer and longer with each patch. I literally go make a hot drink sometimes while I wait, and I have a good connection and decent computer. 12. Still no SGRA. This kills half of the "amazing" story a player is supposed to experience for me. 13. No Flashpoint finder. 14. New Warzones that feel rushed and so small you can tell they were pushed out to us before they were ready. 15. The "whack-a-mole" approach to class balancing. 16. The half done "improvements" with patches, i.e. Legacy and colour matching. 17. Lack of things to work for pvp-wise. 18. The lack of support for RP servers, i.e. no naming policy, very lax approach to rp griefing. 19. The slow ingame support (although that has improved, somewhat). 20. The total arrogance shown by key Dev team members and animosity they show toward players (customers). Yes, I wrote out 20 examples. I have more, but I'll stop at that. I unsubscribed a couple weeks ago, still have time on my account though for another few months. I currently play WoW and am waiting on my copy of Tera to arrive. While I don't expect Tera to last a long time either, I have a fall back with WoW for my MMO fix. I come back here because I like to see if EA have woken up to what is happening and taken some responsibility for killing a perfectly good game. I can also assure them that they are not only losing casual players as my guild was made up of full time players. I still hope that the game will do a 180 and start becoming worthwhile again, but as soon as I am settled into something else, I will probably uninstal TOR from my computer for good. I don't hate the game at all, but I do hate the lack of action and interest EA show it. If the vendor doesn't care, why should the customer? Being totally new to EA and Bioware games, this was not a good experience for me of the brand. I seriously doubt I would pay for anything from this company again, looking at my CE edition (now stuffed in my closet), it only serves as a harsh reminder why I can't be positive of this company.
  5. Goodluck playing alone, because that is what is happening here. The playerbase has real concerns, real questions. The player base are who you pvp with, who you group with, who pay the bills that keep the game afloat. Of course the game wont be exactly what each and every player wants, that is fine. But If one is to take off the rose tinted glasses for a moment one would see that the customer service (communication from the devs) here alone is dismal, and that's not even talking about the actual game! I know about 40 - 50 players who have all quit (my entire guild), now all spread across other games. Most wont buy from EA again, a couple (like me) unsubbed but still hold some hope, just we wont waste more money on something that feels so incomplete, and empty. I had noticed before I left the Q&A were deviating more and more from actual customer concerns and more trivial, easier questions were being answered. It's a trend that in all honesty makes me feel less and less inclined to even check up on TOR. Take the healing nerfs/damage buffs for example. We asked why our healers were being made so pathetic, and actually a liability on a pvp team, we got back "u heal 2 much n we want moar dmg n moar killzorz!" pretty much back from them. It's just sad, it really is.
  6. I wouldn't pay to play it in its current state, and I wouldn't play it in a F2P situation either. Yes I cancelled already, yes I still visit the forums, for now. Just hoping they will do something big to give me a reason to come back, but they haven't. Microtransactions are fine, if you side-step the hysteria from people about them. Mostly they consist of vanity pets and mounts, which is fine. If it was pay for gear or levels, then I would join the crazed masses, or just delete my TOR bookmark.
  7. I wouldn't call someone who rolls alts hardcore. I'd call someone who puts a lot of hours into the game hardcore, no matter if it's OPs, FPs, or WZ. My guild disbanded the other night due to the massive drop off in activity, of the 6 left, one went to Tera, 3 back to WoW, and two are waiting for another MMO due out soon. The thing is, my guildies used to put in 4 - 8 hours a night at one point each, those that are left either don't log in now, or only do so long enough for a couple dailies. Yes TOR could have been amazing, but for a lot of people being burnt once is bad enough, coming back for more? I don't think so. One million subs what.. 6 months after launch? It's not healthy. Remember they had nearly 2 million at one stage, or just over. They also counted people who have unsubed but play time hasn't run out, and also those that haven't paid but are using the free month. You can kid yourself all you want that 1 million is healthy, but in six months I don't think people will be quite so optimistic. You still have D3 and GW2 to come yet, and many are eagerly awaiting those as it is. My reasons for leaving are simple. There isn't the people to play with here. I like the game, but I don't like waiting all night and still not getting a single warzone. Will I be back? No, I gave it a decent shot, but now with my guild dead and my other one on another server on the ropes, there isn't anything to keep me here now. I hope things perk up for you guys, I really do. I don't have any faith in EA products now (was a first time EA buyer too), and I wont be trying anything they bring out in the future.
  8. Casuals unsubscribed? Most of my guild did, and they weren't casual. I will be unsubbing later tonight, and I wasn't casual (5+ hours every night minimum). Sim City above TOR? Ouch.. Good luck with EA guys, I wont be going near another MMO that has their finger in it's pie.
  9. It's not about hating the game. I still love TOR, I just hate being the only one around when I quest, or one of the eight people on the fleet. I log into my other server which used to be crazy active and now I am lucky to see 20 people on fleet. Warzones? I haven't played one in a week now, they just don't happen. I'm not sure how people in similar situations are looking for hand holding, we'd just like to play the game. You have to remember we all pay to be here, we enjoy it when we have people to hang out with. But we don't pay subs to play a single player game, at least that's the case for me. I still come here in the hope EA will address the problem with more detail, that they will give me a reason to stay. Thus far they haven't and as I have mentioned before, my time is running out. A lot of us are looking for a solid reason to hang in there, but EA don't seem to care, and so it's hard to keep hope alive. TOR is a great game, there is no disputing it.
  10. For me it's that I can't find a group on either of my two once heavy servers for flashpoints, and warzones never pop. I simply don't have anything to do anymore because there isn't enough people around. Sure I can solo quest, I can stand around on fleet all night long watching NPCs wander around, or I can look at my guild counter and think back to when there would be 10 - 20 people on all the time. MMOs aren't fun to play solo. I play games online to not only kill spare time, but also hang out with friends and meet people. I love the social side of MMOs. This game doesn't deliver PVE, PVP, or group interaction that I want. Yes I know people love to say things like "reroll and it will be fine" or "bye we wont miss you". But you will, when there are no one else to play with. I'm waiting for a game I ordered to arrive in the mail, it's a different MMO, I wont be back once it arrives. I love TOR, but I don't love playing alone.
  11. Maybe they.. I don't know.. expected to play an MMO with other people? I know, crazy idea, but some people get them.
  12. I really like how some people say "join a guild" to fix the problem. The thing is, when you have 3 servers you are based on, three different guilds, and all suffering (one of mine is talking about merging with other guilds to try and slow down the problem), something has to give. The whole point is, it's not fun playing alone. I don't pay a sub to sit on a deserted server. And, and logging on tonight, I smiled a bittersweet smile. Soon a package will be at my door, soon I wont be here anymore, and soon I will have to turn away from a game I love, yet more opportunities to meet people and participate in content will be upon me. TOR is one of the best games I have played, and I love it. I really do. But I'm sorry, I can't keep pretending I am having fun. It sucks not seeing a single other player on a whole planet, or standing in fleet with the other 2 people who want to do something too.. but we don't have the numbers even if everyone online pugged it.
  13. I'd like to see them now, and 50% of the current servers shut down. Also X server warzones and flashpoint finder. I play MMOs to play with people, right now I play alone. The main reason I play this genre isn't present in this game at this time, and even though I am a huge fan of it, and I do love the game, I don't know if I can hold out until the never-never date. Yes at the time I posted this it was late, but I also checked other MMOs server status' and found they were -all- mostly medium populations, and a few heavy/full.

    Sorcs needs a nerf

He's made a pile of posts, most still on page one, calling for nerfs on pretty much every class. Don't take anything he says seriously.
  15. Actually in other MMOs when you report someone they do exactly the same thing unless they need further clarification. Usually they only need this when it comes to harassment, with exploit reporting generally they just go straight to the logs. I can tell you though, they do act as I have seen certain people I suspected of it suddenly vanish for good.
