OK, how about Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M GPU with 1.5GB GDDR5 Video Memory in SLI Mode vs the other ones mentioned? Looking at a Sager custom laptop now.

Thanks everyone! This post has been very informative. I'm glad some of you get why I prefer to have a laptop over a desktop. I really don't mind having to buy a new laptop every other year in exchange for the freedom to move about. Asus looks to be the path but for being so ROG, why the hell don't they offer the ability to build it. I'm a BestBuy/Frys kinda guy, but it looks like I'll be venturing out of my comfort zone. Also, it seems as though the primary component is the vid card. Basically between NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 580M and AMD® Radeon HD 6990M, who wins? And, is there that huge of a diff between either of those and a NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M? Thanks again for all the feedback and advice.

I posted something similar earlier, but I don't think the subject was right. I cant play the game with the laptop I have now, at all. Good i7 laptop, but crappy vid card. Does anyone have a laptop that they can actually enjoy the game with high settings? I've been shopping around, but all the benchmarks don't mean squat. I'd rather hear from a gamer that actually uses the laptop for this game. Thanks!

I am having a hard time playing this game at all. I currently have a Sony Vaio with an i7, 8gb of ram and an Nvidia GeForce 310M. I have heard from many sources that my vid card is the root of my inability to play this game. I have tried all the settings changes and stuff that has made the game more playanle,... but not good enough to enjoy it. So, I'm shopping for a new computer. I have been looking at the Alienware M17x Laptop. Would this computer be able to handle this game? In its basic (and pretty much top end I can afford, lol) build.
