  1. Just unsubbed and got this message- "You have 14 days of play time remaining. When your play time runs out, you will no longer be able to play. Please sign up for a recurring subscription plan or redeem a Game Time Code." Thought it was funny, they should edit to say when your play time runs out, you will no longer be able to play, just kidding! Play all you want for free! We be f2p.
  2. The choices have very little impact on your story, its almost pointless other than gaining LS or DS points for relics or gear. It was a great idea watered down which can be said of the whole game really.
  3. That's because Ultima Online was awesome and mmorpgs should have followed their model and not the EQ model.
  4. That's dead on, they sacrificed content for too many cut scenes and voice acting, now a lot of us are bored.
  5. question, i have recently started a focus guardian and i'm unsure what form is best for use in a wz? i use soresu since i seem to last longer in wz's. also what should i have in my offhand, shield or focus?

  7. Hey i'm just starting out a focus guardian, I'm like level 23 at the moment and I struggle on what form is best? And should I be using a focus or shield in my offhand slot?
  8. Does the damage get better as a focus specced guardian? I'm currently level 20 and while I enjoy playing it I'm usually middle to the bottom in terms of damage in a WZ. With my marauder I think I was usually top three-four almost right out of the gate. Just curious what the experience has been for others of a higher level.
  9. Yeah I've read that response before, but my computer is high end bought specifically for playing SWTOR, and everything is turned up to the highest setting. Still the worlds seem dead.
  10. I don't necessarily think gear grinds needs to be removed, because some folks may like to accumulate commendations in a pvp arena, so while the option of getting gear from pvp is fine and easily implemented i think gear needs to be levelled out, no special armor for pvp with expertise. Also I think a players gear should reflect the quest path they have taken, maybe the lightsaber or datacron I have was from a lengthy quest that took some time and thought out effort to gain. Not just join a flashpoint over and over and hope something drops. Deliberate but played out paths instead of repetitiveness.
  11. I wish!!! Someone lend me a few millions dollars and I'm on it
  12. These are just my personal opinions but here are a few things I would've done differently if I was the person calling the shots with SWTOR. I will say that I really enjoy playing this game, but only because it's Star Wars, any other theme and I likely would have quit after a few months. First thing, I wouldn't have sunk so much into the voice acting and cut scenes. I like them, but really only for the main class story lines. I would actually scrap them entirely, and in it's place put a more complex system of quests that truly affect character development so that you have a totally(or mostly) unique experience from other players. With the time and resources they wasted with the cutscenes and voiceovers I would think they could have developed hundreds of non-linear quests with text descriptions with quick little conversations that allow your input. I really hate being steered through my questing. I want to start as Jedi and be able to fall as slowly or as quickly to the darkside as I want to. Second, and this mostly speaks to the Jedi/Sith story but I would have enjoyed it more if there was more time and development given to becoming a Jedi/Sith. This would include more thought behind obtaining new skills and powers, a more intimate relationship with your master(s), missions with them, actual real rivalries with other padawans/sith. So much more could've been done here, instead you whip through Tython/Korriban and off you go. Third and this has been beaten to death, but the world needs more life and the ability to explore it all, not the linear path predetermined for us. It's depressing to land on a new world and see a huge metropolis with 10 npcs standing around and the occasional real player or two go speeding by. Fourth, PVP. I absolutely love PVP and the warzones are fun but how many times can you play the four of them before you get tired of it? This game desperately needs open world player zone objective PVP, fighting for control of towns, planets, systems, etc. It's 2012, this can't be too complex can it? Fifth, space combat. The current system is lame, it's been also beaten to death. It needs to be scrapped and made into a non-linear system of PVP battles. Again it's 2012, how hard can that be? I can wait a year or two or three for something substantial. Sixth, is travel. I like the speeders, but I don;t like to see the huge speeders indoors. There should be very small one person speeders for inside big buildings and the larger ones for outdoors only. Also Starships should not be easy to obtain and you should have to learn to be a pilot. And again on the exploration, I should have the ability to land my starship in more than one place on an entire planet. Last but not least is the armor/clothing. A lot more variety! Its lame to see everyone in the same armor/clothing. There are other things I would change or add like player housing and cities, but these are the main ones that I have thought about the most. Basically much more immersion and a better system of PVP. I know full well a lot of these ideas won't make it into SWTOR because they are too far into the system they've created but maybe the next Star Wars MMORPG can implement them!
  13. I couldn't agree more with just about your entire post. I detest levels, and I never liked the idea that I was forced to choose a faction in this game, i want the choice to be neutral. The fracturing of the playerbase is clearly an issue, and in this day and age I agree that they should find a way to get everyone on the same server. I love to play SWTOR, its a good game but I feel like it could've been a great game if they would've been creative instead of copycats. I like the voice acting but i think they sunk way too much into that and honestly the storylines are just OK but nothing to write home about honestly. The experience and storylines of the jedi and sith specifically could've been done a whole lot better. You get quickly whisked through the whole padawan/acolyte phase of your character where I think that should have been a much longer and detailed adventure with training from your master and missions with them as companions. The whole experience just leaves me wanting. Sad as i am to admit it, i play SWTOR but I am already looking ahead to the next MMORPG Star Wars game with the hopes they do something different and unique.
  14. Based on wanting to be effective in PVP and PVE what is the best PT spec to use currently?
