  1. Welp, if it's already bumped... I've been wanting a companion app for as long as I've been playing. The closest I've found is one called "Guide to SWTOR" (also "SWTOR Hub"). You have to manually input all the info on your characters, but the biggest utility for me would be some way to see which alts I have which crew skills on. The aforementioned app hasn't been updated since 2015, so while it still works, it has shortcomings.
  2. I have nothing to add, I just want to say that I agree to everything said here.
  3. Add me to the list of players missing Renown. It was nice, giving us a feeling of progression at max level.
  4. Thank you so much for listening to us! What will the new required amount of total matches be?
  5. Relevant suggestion to a solution for this problem. Only wins counting has killed my motivation for playing PvP.
  6. In case anyone wants to chime in with support or constructive criticism, I made a suggestion thread for medals counting towards the weekly. Though I'm not sure they (Bioware) bother reading these anymore...
  7. I agree with all of this. It's sad, there are a lot of good suggestions on this forum.
  8. Playing on different teams defeats the purpose entirely? I don't know about you, but I'd happily sacrifice having all 3 of my friends on the same team if it leads to more balanced matches. We're still playing together, just not all of us towards the same objective. But if you just want to roflstomp pugs with your friends, then of course you don't want things to change And the whole point of this is that premades make balancing impossible in a lot of the matches. If the four best players in the match is grouped, there's simply no way to balance that out...
  9. Here's an idea (if this is even possible): If a group is queued but a second group is not found (for the opposing team), split the group up when the pop timer appears, along with a message saying "Your group has been split up due to matchmaking reasons, you may not end up on the same team as your groupmates". Everyone in the group will still be in the same match, so you're still playing with your friends, but can opt out by clicking "Leave queue" at the timer without incurring a lockout. This way we avoid splitting the queue into two, and also eliminate premade vs pug scenarios. Would anyone be opposed to this?
  10. All credit goes to Samcuu (source). The PvP weekly only requiring wins is causing A LOT of frustration among players, maybe casual PvP'ers moreso than the more seasoned ones, and I think this is hurting participation. Personally, I play PvP a lot less than I would if I could work towards the weekly even in losing matches. The change from wins counting double to only wins counting was done to stop people from afk'ing in warzones, right? Well, making the weekly requiring medals would incentivize not just participation, but actually doing well. Hell, it might even get number farmers to go for some objective points or protection/healing for additional medals. I'm not sure about the ideal number, but I'd suggest maybe 40 medals? At an average of 8 medals per match, you'd need to do 6, and then the better players get rewarded with being able to get it in 5 or even 4.
  11. This encapsulates the problem perfectly. I play WAY less PvP than I did before, because my motivation is simply crushed by getting nothing to show for spending time and effort into playing it IF I'm unlucky and get put on the inferior team, which can happen quite often.
  12. This is simply another problem, to which the reasonable solution is to grow the PvP playerbase, through the use of better incentives or something else. More players would, assuming the matchmaking system is somewhat decent, lead to more balanced matches in a non-premade queue. Too few PvP participants is actually a huge problem and should be addressed, not just to ensure more even matchups and enable two types of queues, but to avoid the whole gamemode from dying (as you point out has happened with lowbies).
  13. This is ridiculous. You're saying the solution is for every player who does PvP to get better. Gee, is that all? That's the most unrealistic solution I've ever heard. Even if every current PvP participant somehow magically got better, there will always be new players, or players trying new classes. But it doesn't matter, because you can't expect every single player to just "git gud". The problem is matchmaking, which I have no idea how works in this game, but I doubt it's very good even just dividing 16 random players into two teams. Add a premade that gathers the 4 best players of those 16 onto the same team, and the unlucky 8 of the other team is gonna have a bad time no matter what.
