  1. Just had it happen to me earlier on the Alderaan Star Fortress. Did have a thought, though. There seems to be a mechanic where the Exarch starts to regain power after you zap her with the voltaic thing. What if an Exarch is supposed to regain that immunity if they fully regain that power? And the timing just happened to sync perfectly with you taking out the console and the Exarch regaining their immunity? Maybe that is what is sticking the fights in that moment.
  2. Well, arguably Darth Marr is/was Light Side. He did things for the Empire, not necessarily his own ego. Also, as a raw recruit, all Jedi/Sith characters are neutral. They are shaped by their actions and experiences. Now, for me, dark side Jedi is harder to do than Light Side Sith. My Jedi that try to lean dark are loyal to their friends, yet want vengeance on the Empire. And that means I end up saving them a bit too much to go truly dark. Still usually enough to get a tongue-lashing from Satele at the end of the Knight story (I think my Consular never managed to fully fall because of Nadia, actually). Which actually brings me to the influence of some of the companions. While the Inquisitor can lean towards light in the beginning because of not liking that whole slavery thing (enslaving spirits seems wrong, etc), they have their own little issue with darkness... namely the urge to give everything a dose of shock therapy. On the other hand, the Warrior can be light side very easy. First, Vette can be an influence on you. Then there is... Tatooine. That can be a mind-changing experience, if you let it. And if these influences lead you to not turning Jaesa dark... well, you now have quite a few light influences on you. And a light Warrior would be protected by Baras until the Warrior was no longer useful. And well... we know when that was... (Come to think of it, Zash might also use a light Inquisitor in the same way, until she needed you for other things... and then Thanaton hates you either way, so it really doesn't matter.) Frankly, considering how powerful the PCs are, outside of certain individuals, few might be able to detect them... or want to mess with them.
  3. I'm fairly easy. Just give me one of every armor/weapon set that is no longer available on the Cartel Market...
  4. Technically, the Old Republic is the Republic in the prequels. The 10,000 year long Old Republic that only had hiccups here and there. But yes, in the end perhaps the Eternal Alliance will be the foundation of a "Middle" Republic...
  5. Anyone else notice the small glitch with the Shae Vizla Recruitment alert?
  6. While I could see that (especially Revan), and it would be fun in a way, there is one issue with it: Again the main character (the PC) has to be saved by an outside force. This could be... troublesome to some players. I would much prefer the PC casting Valkorian/Vitiate into one of the stars. Valky himself said that the PC could be the one to succeed at killing him that way. (Though, now that I think of it, a black hole might be better.)
  7. Maybe I've just been lucky but some of the companions do like courting gifts. Can't recall which exactly, but it was since DvL came out that I used those, so...
  8. He's still not going to be a gleam in someone's eye for around 2700 years...
  9. There is a theory that Quinn was acting like a Scorpion from L5R. The Scorpion Clan in L5R prizes loyalty above all things. In the first fluff book dealing with the Clan, there is an anecdote where two young samurai fall in love. When her father arranged a marriage with the Unicorn Clan (which had the finest horses in Rokugan), the young woman nodded, and broke off the relationship. Until the two had a final duel before she would leave to marry. They squared off, trading good-natured barbs, and then struck... with strikes to each other's hearts. In the end, they stayed loyal to both their Clan and each other. The theory is that Quinn went into that fight fully intending to die. But also to make the Warrior so pissed that the Warrior would make sure Baras would pay dearly. (Even more so if Quinn was the Warrior's Love Interest.) After all, what better way to prepare the Emperor's Wrath than to unleash Wrath?
  10. Oh... I don't like Kaliyo's turn any more than I liked Quinn's... There are several companions in the original stories I wish you could have decided to kill. Quinn and Kaliyo are just the more egregious examples. For instance, my BH should have been able to fulfill that one bounty... without resorting to deception.
  11. If you've played the Jedi Knight story, Scourge relates a prophecy he sees about you. Arguably, you may be about to fulfill it. Thus, I think he should at present when you do. Even if it is not what he expected.
  12. There was a rumor going around that Jaesa did not survive the invasion. Supposedly, that was a way for BioWare to deal with the whole split-personality issue.
