  1. On POTF on my DPS toon I've never waited more than 10-15 min... I hit the q assuming it'll be a while go out and have a smoke and normally the q is popped when I come back or it already passed... this is between 5-7 pm eastern time... honestly im always really surprised sometimes I wait longer for my tank tbh... seems like a lack of healers that use GF... I bang out 3 in a row for my weeklies on my 3 tanking toons and I tend to get the same healers with 22k hp for like 7/9 of the FP's

  3. They do this purposely.... I'm assuming you're talking abut comm gear... It has been said in the past by devs that it's done so everyone isn't BiS the first week. Comm gear normally just belt and bracers have anything useful in them... the other com gear might have a mod or a enhancement that you can use but you will almost never find a BiS piece of gear from the com vendor... I think the chest piece right now for some classes(most expensive 140 coms) might have both a mod and an enhancement that are usable. Token gear on the other hand is the exact opposite for the most part. Almost all the gear will have BiS armoring mods and enhancements. Sometimes they make one oddball piece with say crit and alac for a sin tank... but its all done purposely to assure it takes longer for people to gear out and in turn give them more time to pump out the new content. While I agree it is a pain in the ***, especially as a tank(almost all com gear is useless anyways). It does allow you something to work for. How fun would it be to be BiS 2/3 weeks after a patch dropped? You'd prob quit the game because you were so bored. It also ties in with why they took away the ability to craft the highest tier PVE gear.

To OP when people tell you to stack power power power.... they assume you know to get to 100% accuracy first with any dps build it is the standard doesn't matter class... only specs that don't use accuracy are tanks and healers. Anything over 100% is really a waste. As for the hero mara that can do FP's in 24 min... no matter how you look at it.... your mentality is piss poor... if I was your tank i'd whisper the healer after the second time you did that and watch you die over and over again until you quit or figure it out. Wanna be a hero? Go play COD.

  6. Energy really isn't an issue. The reason it isn't is because the 2.5 ambush cast, when done properly, casting orbital then going straight into ambush with the 2.5 sec cast you're 90+ energy when the cast ends and allows you to go right into SoS>FT>sniper volley>SoS... with absolutely no energy issues... The only time you may run into an issue is when cast orbital mid fight... I, like many others, find it much easier to manage when waiting for Sniper Volley to come off CD and using your Orbital in that window. Rather then Using Orbital on CD. EDIT: Completely forgot corrosive dart...
  7. Looks like you're not using explosive probe enough. Should be used before your two snipes in the opener. ...Orbital>ambush>followthrough>Scattershot>RELICS/adrenals>SoS>Followthrough>SoS>Followthrough>EXPLOSIVEPROBE>Snipe>Snipe.... Also with your relics and adrenals, those should be popped right as you start your first SoS EDIT: Completely forgot corrosive dart... Orbital>ambush>followthrough>Scattershot>RELICS/adrenals>SoS>Followthrough>CD>SoS>Followthrough>EXPLOSIVEPROBE>Snipe>Snipe....
  8. Everything except SnV can be done in less then an hour on SM. Ev and KP can be done in 30-45 mins. EC(Denova) might take longer then an hour because people fail at mechanics. Assuming you have a tank with half a brain and a healer that's geared these can all be flown thru very quickly. Only reason SnV is longer is it has a few more bosses, prob be done in an hour and 15 min maybe hour and a half. If its a 16 man group add an extra 10-15 mins to these times.
  9. no one should ever pull off the tank after the first 15 seconds. If the tank is getting pulled off of late(assuming no agro dump from the boss) he is doing something drastically wrong. I was tanking a sm TFB the other day and went afk when the boss was at 50% health came back a few min later boss was at 10% and I still had agro.... A few taunts at the start of the the fight go a looooong way
  10. The reason you don't see Mercs/Mando's up there is because the over healing on them in minimal. Some of the very best healers I've ever played with are merc's. Hot's and sorc puddle typically do a lot of over healing and inflate numbers. As someone else said I cringe when i'm doing an 8 man raid and see 2 sorcs's as healers, sure it can be done but they tend to struggle healing the tanks b/c of long cast times. Choosing healers for and 8 man raid, I'd choose 1 op and 1 Merc every single time. For 16 man I'd add 2 sorcs to deal with raid dmg and keep the Op and Merc for the great single target tank healing.
  11. You do realize it takes more skill to play a PT/VG now then it takes to play a SW/JG? For the juggy you can effectively tank without worrying about anything but face rolling and hitting DcD's when needed. You can tank absolutely fine with out a set rotation on a juggy just hit any ability that's not on CD. The PT you actually need to watch buff's/build stacks for heat blast and keep track of your Flame Engine proc. No, it's not a lot to keep track of but its more then what a juggy needs to do.
  12. As a tank you shouldn't care, I know for juggy and PT all the 72 com gear is trash. All the mods and enhancements have high endurance. The veracity implants/earpiece also have a ton more mitigation then the 72 com gear. I could see an Assassin needing the gear but for a jug or PT you are better off sticking with 69 gear.
  13. I find this hilarious, I've played all three tanks since launch. Just started 55 on my Sniper a few weeks ago. Now that i'm 2/3's 72's I laugh every single FP the tank gaurds the healer and I'm tanking the mobs the whole FP. Hell I kited Kephess SM in TFB in the first phase one week cause the tank was clueless. Tanks put your guard on a DPS. The majority of tanks are terrible, esp. in GF. I use FP's and SM OPS to practice agro generation. Typically in these I wont use taunts or guard just to make myself better. Only twice in about 2 months of pugging on 2 tanks in FP's and SM Ops I've honestly had to use a guard cause the DPS knew how to play. What I find mind boggling is the amount of tank's esp PT's the pull with the AoE taunt. Now like I said I've only tanked since launch so, I assumed other tanks knew how to play. Well they don't. Almost every PT I've seen will open with Explosive dart then aoe taunt and Jet Charge in, if I choose to drop and Orbital Strike, anything that's not dead turns to me. So tank's here is a pro tip- Before blowing your AoE taunts leap/sprint in get 3-4 Aoe abilities that hit all the mobs then use your AoE taunt, please and thank you.(for a PT it'd be Jet Charge>Rocket Punch(gold/elite target)>Flame Sweep>Flame Sweep> Rail Shot> Flame Thrower(pref. procced)>Aoe Taunt) . My sniper is squishy and my agro drop doesn't always help
