  1. Hi everyone, If I create a character on a new server and then transfer one of my existing toons on this new server, will the newly created character receive the legacy advantages of the transferred character (all buffs...) ? I'm thinking of trying out a new server without transferring any toon yet but I'd like to enjoy all my legacy's benefits later if I enjoy the new server. Thanks a lot,
  2. I enjoy pvp a lot (it's almost all I play in this game) but I also enjoy the atmosphere of RP servers. i'm therefore thinking of transferring my toons to TEH. How active is the pvp on your server ? How frequent are pops for Rwz and Regs ? Thanks a lot.
  3. 28 (29 in November) from Paris, France. Played since launch with some long breaks and still really enjoy the game.
  4. Since defense and shield are less useful than end in pvp, will I be more durable by wearing offensive relics which have a lot more endurance ?

  6. Thanks for the quick breakdown. Don't worry, no offense taken at all, I'm not the least bit knowledgeable about such things, that's why I posted that here
  7. I get horrible latency issues lately. I ran a trace on the ip address of my server (tofn) got this result. I am not sure how to interpret it. Can someone more knowledgeable than I am give me some pointers ? Thanks a lot.
  8. I mostly play GSF. I'm currently on tofn but pops are few and far between except during primetime. I was hoping that with higher population, TRE may also have more people playing GSF. Any GSF players from TRE can give me some info ? Thanks
  9. Happy new year from Paris. Let it be the year where the good people of the world realize that it will be better for everybody if we stand together rather than fight over everything.
  10. Those are 2 different traces. I restarted my router in between the 2 which seems to have reduced the lag spikes (though not completely removed them). I will try and do a clean install of the network adapter drivers.
  11. Sounds good, thanks man. Here's the link to the jpg of the trace
  12. Looking at Pingplotter a bit more carefully, it seems the packets loss comes from this link: ae45-0.nipst101.Paris.francetelecom.net Not sure if there is a way to bypass it. I'm not very knowledgeable about those things. 13. I'm on Wifi. Tried connecting through Ethernet but it's the same thing. Closed all apps that may interfere and disabled Windows Firewall but the lag spikes are still there. I set Ping Plotter to Tofn's IP address but I don't really understand the results of the trace. Seems like all the steps of the chain (if that makes any sense) are either green (when the latency is sub 200ms) and they all turn yellow or red during spikes. So I'm not sure how to pinpoint the problem. Updated all my drivers and it didn't resolve anything. The weird thing is, for anything else my internet is as fast as ever, I can download a 20gb game in 2-3 hours but Swtor still craps out. This is just bizarre.
