Does anyone know if Power actually is better then Str? I play Combat at the moment, but probably switching to Focus til it gets fixed (Why gimp myself when I dont need too). The low amount of crit you get from maxing strength over power doesnt really seem worth it?

I would love to play Watchman, but specc is broken. Combat works, however is not nearly as effective nor as good as Focus is, when played at the same pontential.
  3. I am trying to look at it from a neutral perspective, and do realize that full CC immunity would be too much on the ability. Was just an idea, still trying to think about better ways to fix it. Obviously people shouldnt eat our damage all the time, but the fact that our entire burst as Combat is based around a 4.5 seconds buff, makes the gameplay extremely choppy. Especially seeing as how many CCs there are in the game. A specc based around proccs and a small window of time is flawed no matter how you look at it.
  4. What really bugs me is how incosistent Precision slash actually is because of the huge amount of knockbacks in the game. If you use PS and get knocked right away, even with leap up you will only have one global to do damage in, which is far too low. Especially since 99% of the time people arent looking for the procc, its just random CC because they happen to have it off CD.

Yes, you cant get higher then your currenty level unless 55 afaik.
  6. The overall gameplay, PvP wise, is awful actually. Delayed and queued abilities, broken CC mechanics and too much CC in general. Because of this the general gameplay is extremely choppy and not very enjoyable, compared to something like WoW.
  7. Yo! So about the defensive CDs, something has to be changed, however I would wait with changing a single defensive CD til they fix Rage/Focus. I am an avid fan of Combat and have been playing it since I got back to the game, but decided to respecc Focus to try it out last night. Given I am not very good at the specc since I havent really played it before, but overall it was way easier to play, and the gameplay didnt seem as choppy as it does as combat. Reasons for this being: - Extra charge, on an extremely low CD, also breaks snares and does fair amounts of damage. - Extra slows, both from charges as well as Force Exhaustion, alot easier to not get kited. - 45 second CD on GBTF, also doesnt take as much HP, so you can basically just go in and waste this whenever without any thought around it whatsoever. - 30% PASSIVE armor penetration Now lets discuss a tree like Combat. Your main damage is based around Precision Slash, 100% Armor Penetration, which has a 15 seconds CD and lasts for 4.5 seconds. There are 2 different scenarios on how to use Precision slash to its potential, and none of them are actually really reliable. (Not adding the normal Blade rush that will be put within these rotations, since that is only a filler and none of the "real" damage, so to say) - Precision Slash, Master Strike + Blade storm. In this scenario you will still need an opportune attack procc up, as well as channel an entire Master Strike. - Precision Slash, Dispatch + Blade storm + Twin Saber Throw. In this scenario you will need your opponent to either be below 30% hp, or have a Hand of Justice procc up as well as an opportune attack procc. The proccs lasts for quite some time, so that isnt really the issue. The main issue comes with the fact that you are relying on two proccs in order to actually burst hard. What annoys me the most about Precision Slash is that so many times, as soon as you use it, you get randomly CCd, which basically removes all my burst potential instantly. Basically the entire combat tree is based around being able to either sit on a target, or use every global avilable in a Precision slash window to burst. What could get changed to solve this issue is putting a flat CD on Precision Slash to like 20-25 seconds (currently 15 sec), not making it resettable by Hand of Justice, and make you immune to CC for the duration. The way that resolve currently works makes the mechanic extremely flawed, and if I am to wait for a full resolve bar every time I use Precision Slash the general gameplay is gonna be even choppy, and worse then what it currently is. I currently have 3 Obroan parts and rest full Conq, started playing Solo Ranked at the moment. How the game currently is I cant really find a way to play Combat effectively, it just seems like Focus/Rage outshines Combat in every way possible. This is more about trying to find fixes, dont really care if its nerfs or buffs aslong as it makes the general gameplay smoother for non-focus/rage. Edit: One more thing I want to add is that as Focus you can have such an uptime on Zen that you litteraly can not run out of Focus ever, which in itself causes you to do way more damage since you do not need to use fillers that doesnt really do any damage.
  8. Resolve is the most flawed mechanic in the ENTIRE game, nothing comes close to it.
  9. They get knockback, root, slow, offheals, shields and rescue. The sprint buff for a Sentinel is very rarely used since it effects the burst we are able to do by an extremely large margin (talking combat here, since i cba discussing focus, everyone knows its broken). Sure it can be used, but very rarely if you want to be able to push out damage whenever you are not stuck in CC. Honestly the utility that a Sent brings overall is quite crap imo compared to other classes, which is also the main reason as to why clutch plays are out of the way, since there is none to make. The overall gameplay as a Sent/Mara is to do damage, whenever we are pushed away from that we are 100% useless and wont give our team anything at all, whilst alot of other classes still will.
  10. However different classes brings different utility. The way you are talking we might as well just remove every single class but one, reduce all the abilities down to 4-5 and make everything exactly the same. But as I said, since you mention it again, I would 100% trade trauma for taunt any day of the week, since that would make me able to help my team more then what Crippling throw currently does. I mainly use Crippling throw as means of not getting kited since I play combat. But yea, cant really compare apples and oranges.
  11. Increasing the cooldown on charge would litteraly kill the class 100%. With the amount of slows / roots and knockbacks available in the game we MUST have charge on the CD it is now, any more then that and we will just end up being completely useless.
  12. I didnt say you can avoid the damage completely, but you however said that it doesnt effect the damage output that much. The only thing roots and slows doesnt effect to a greater extent is Focus, simply because the entire specc is incredibly flawed. If you play against a real specc, slows and roots will basically work just as well as a stun against a Sent.
  13. I am just too tired of people that post "information" that is completely inaccurate and incorrect. Especially when they try backing it up with "facts" and "mechanics" that is even more flawed or incorrect. That would be it.
  14. Roots and slows will do everything to our damage, its just the fact that Focus/Rage has another charge that also breaks roots that is flawed. Its Focus/Rage that needs to be fixed along with GBTF revamped, and we will be fine. Pretty funny how you can say that roots and slows wont stop our damage potential, goes to show how little you actually know about the class you are talking about.
  15. You are talking about an extremely flawed mechanic, and ontop of this act as if we can choose when we want the resolve bar to be full? As said previously I don't like the ability more then anyone else, but dont even start talking about resolve when you have no clue.
