  1. I decided not to post this in a class subforum because it's more a general query about how I should best invest limited time in playing this game. I have a BH Pyrotech at 29 and a Sith Sorcerer at 11 at the moment and I'm having a difficult time figuring out which I want to focus on, knowing that I really won't have time for them both. On one hand, I like the free-agent aspect of the Bounty Hunter's persona and his ship. On the other, I am intrigued by the mystical aspects of the Sith Sorcerer and also prefer his voice by a slim margin. My main is a Jedi Consular at 55; I enjoy the gameplay and the general feel of the consular greatly. Overall, I'm more interested in experiencing the galaxy and the imperial perspective than building a character for long term ops, dailies, fps, and PvP. Given that predilection and time constraints, I would appreciate any advice as to whether I should focus on the BH or the Sorcerer.
  2. I finished leveling my consular to 55 and decided to pursue the romance for the heck of it. I designed my consular to look like RotS Obi, with a full beard and sort of weathered complexion, which combined with Nolan North's voice gives him the semblance of a man in his mid thirties at the youngest. In retrospect -and hearing from the community- I've gotten a sort of consensus that Nadia seems a bit... young. Consequently, I feel a little skeeved out at my consular in retrospect, and when I log in with him, I think "you damn cradle-robber, you!" and get sort of uncomfortable. Anyone else share these feelings?
  3. Thank you for the replies, Hoech and DomiSotto! Mainly, my concern was that I really dislike playing as block-of-wood characters. One reason I love Star Wars so much is that the melee warrior types are usually Jedi and Sith, so they have that mystical/religious background that makes them more thoughtful and introspective. My concern with the knight was that he/she gets branded as a mary sue often and those types rarely have interesting, thoughtful things to say. That intellectual tendency is definitely there with the consular; I just wanted to make sure it's there's with the knight too before I jump in with that class. Thanks for the advice with the conversation topics; often with the consular I found myself choosing neutral or dark side options occasionally to prevent my character from coming off as blindly naive; I'll be careful with the knight as well. Frankly, I can't wait to get some decent gear; I love the look of the knight robes. The consular equipment *especially* on male characters just looks embarrassing most of the time (like the disturbingly phallic level 20 PVP helmet...).
  4. I just finished the consular story and found the end sort of anticlimactic. I was considering rolling a Jedi guardian because the game play style and armor designs appeal to me, but I have concerns about the story. Mainly, it's this: when I play role playing games, I almost always roll either paladin or wizard-type classes, which is why I elected to go with the consular first time through. On top of that, I just like roleplaying more intellectual characters, to which the mage and paladin archetypes usually cater pretty well. I've heard that the Jedi Knight story is sort of mindless and the character him/herself can be sort of meat headed. More than the story, is that true about the character? I rather liked the consular's level, Obi-Wan sounding voice and I'd rather not like to switch into a "bro" type character. If so, is it to such a degree that it'll detract from my experience playing as a knight? Many thanks for any replies!
