  1. Yup as you can see as a new player the cartel and the GTN seem like the same thing just accessed in different ways. That is part of my confusion. So to rephrase my question I go to the GTN Kiosk and can not get anything to come up. What is the name you put in? The character who you are playing or your log in name?
  2. Been playing for about two months now and I am still confused by how the cartel market kiosks work. I click on these and look to see who is selling, but I never get anything but lists of stuff that you can buy but no actual stuff itself? I assume there is something i need to do or input to bring up lists?! But i have no clue what it might be. Can someone explain just how you use these things if you are looking to buy (as opposed to sell) ?
  3. I am sixty almost 61 (born August of 1952). Started out playing D&D in the seventies and just kept playing. As new formats came into being just kept playing using the new tech. This however is the first MMO I have Stuck with not because of age gap, but just because i find this game fun. I also shy away for Guilds and Flashpoints just because of age differences and my poor old eyes and shot reflexes hurt in combat, things 'youngsters' don't understand. Need to have a Geezers Guild here where all us old foogies can hang out in.
  4. Hi all. I have been playing and enjoying this game now for about two months. I would love to buy some of this snazzy custom armor for my toons, but. as.I understand it the custom armor is only a shell and has no properties. So how do you work it? Do you need to have 'real' armor on under the custom armor? Does the custom armor come with mod slots all ready in place or do you have to fork over more credits to have mod slots installed with a kit? Just wondering.

This is a cool idea, wish I had done that when I started (especially as one could appreciate the little class story crossovers if they are fresh in your mind) Do you bounce around back and forth to keep them mostly even? I am trying to keep all my characters pretty close together in both xp and story line progression. One nice tidbit of doing this is you get the whole picture of something which one character 's story may not give. For example all of your Sith characters wind up in Lord Grantham's complex at one time or another. It takes bits and pieces from conversations each character has to put the total answer about just what Grantham is up to and why. Nice touch.
  6. Been playing for a month became a subscriber last weekend. Having tried other online games and not caring for the experience, was not sure if this would work for me. But finished and loved the original KOTOR and went to this right after. I really, really like it. Much better behaved players (for the most part) than what i experienced on other gaming sites. And the story lines are really fun. Playing 8 characters one of each class and got all of them into double digit experience. I find the Sith side a lot more fun mostly because, in true movie fashion, you get involved in a lot of overly complex and convoluted plots bening done to your Master or being plotted by your master. Fun stuff!
  7. Yeah did not realize the road by the scooter stand was in fact a totally different road than the one I was wandering around on. Thanks to you both for your help.
  8. Been playing the game with one character in each of the classes for about two weeks now. Got the Bounty Hunter to the Home World but having a hard time figuring out how to get her to the statue where the bounty is. The area all around the statue is unexplored and as I have tried to wander through the unknown have gotten blocked off by terrain or the damn Mandalorian enclave. What is the is the simplest way to get to the statue?
