Getting involved in crafting is also a nice way to slow down the pace. But the best way to not feel over-leveled has been shared above: fight without your companion. Also note that once you are a few levels ahead of the quest level, your progress will slow dramatically, since you will be killing green mobs, and getting minimal quest exp. So the exp pace is a bit self-moderating at that point. Note that in Beta, by the time I was up in the 30s, I found some of the class-quest bosses were much harder than expected (e.g. elites with guards who started right next to your inquisitor before you could raise a shield.) Re-doing a wiped story quest was actually a downer, since it broke all the suspension of disbelief (since you then respawned and got him the second time). So this time I will gladly over-level early on, and leave my companion behind when I feel too powerful. That way when the key encounters come, I can call my helper and win the first time, and feel like the story played as intended. Enjoy! -D
