  1. I'm saving all of my coins (2700 so far) to unlock the things I'll need when I cancel my sub.
  2. Same here. Got my 600 for being a 6 month subscriber, but no bonus for the Security Key.
  3. Do you realize that this means people will skip the new recruit MK2 gear and go straight to War Hero, and that people will complain about players going into warzones without PvP gear, again?
  4. That has to be a bug of some kind. And as such it will never be fixed, like so many cosmetic bugs that have been around since beta.
  5. I think it's worth while if you have chosen a crafting profession for which your class does not have a companion available with a crit bonus for that profession. I got HK-51 for my Trooper with armormech. I already get crit bonuses for all of my skills, so HK-51 adds nothing for that character. IF HK-51 added crit bonuses for mission skills instead of efficiency, or if the efficiency bonus reduced the cost of running missions, he'd be worthwhile for almost anyone. As far as using him as a ranged DPS companion, most classes have a ranged DPS companion that is easier to gear than a droid.
  6. EA will never add this feature, as much as I would like them to do so. If you can change the appearance of lightsaber crystals with a mod, where is the market to sell new color crystals for Cartel Coins?
  7. I'm an alt-oholic. When the game launched I started on two servers, one for each faction. Then the server mergers started moving characters onto a third server. There was no way to move all of my characters, so some didn't move. I have no problem payi8ng for extra character slots as long as I get to keep my original 16, not the reduced 12 slots. I started with 16, I played all 16, I would like to keep all 16. I do not see how that would be unfair.
  8. I'd rather have an IG-38, C-4PO or R2-Z2. HK-51 is more of a shiny ball to appease KOTOR fans.

    World PvP

If by "work" you mean "create an environment that encourages faction imbalance", then yes. People do things to increase their chance of winning. They change their spec, their rotation, they grind gear, sometime they change their entire class. They also switch to the faction that is winning, especially when their are incentives to do so. For a while you saw some people switching to the underpopulated faction to increase the number of Warzones they could do, instead of just doing Huttball against their own faction. Now that we have so many same faction warzones, that isn't really a problem. Since there are so many same faction warzones already, your solution would encourage single faction servers. If you want open world PvP you need to have some balance between the size of the factions. You generally don't get that by giving bonuses to the winning faction. You get it by giving incentives to the underdog. When it's better to be the winner, people play the side that is winning. When it's better to be the underdog, some people will play that instead, and then they aren't such an underdog. This is why World PvP is so hard to get right in an MMO. Either players don't play because there are no incentives, or they create an imbalance to capitalize on the incentives.
  10. To put it simply; if SWG were still around I'd be paying for that every month. For me, SWTOR is only fun until level 50, and they're going to give that away for free. I doubt the new post 50 content will suddenly be worth a subscription fee when all of the lower level content becomes free-to-play. When SWTOR launched I tried to get my friends to play. Once the game goes free, my advice will be: Level to 50. Delete. Level another class to 50. etc. One flashpoint per week is enough to experience all of the flashpoints worth doing. Crafting, space and warzones could be disabled entirely and they wouldn't really be missing anything. The one thing that SWTOR does well, that it does better than any other MMO, is the story from level 1 to 50, and they're giving that away for free. Once they give away the milk there's no reason to buy this cow.
