The game was working fine for me yesterday. Today when I try to log in I hit the log in button and it starts initialising then stalls with the error message " this application has encountered an unexpected error. Please try this patch again." I never get as far as hitting play. So I am not sure what is going on. Windows 10 laptop. Edited: I eventually restarted my laptop and the game now loads in fine. I have no idea why but am not complaining.

Any news on this? I have deleted every file with the word test in it from my SWTOR folders several times. I have also redownloaded the PTS file from scratch and am again stuck at game client 343 with 0.14mb remaining. I am getting the original error message. Tried redeleting the file named above yet again. with no success. Update: After leaving my computer attempting to download the game client 343 file for the morning I finally gave up and closed the game. I tried again a while later and the file loaded and I was able to log into the PTS. I have no idea why this worked.

Our raid group is looking for a geared and experienced raider, dps, tank or healer (merc or operative) for Gods progression. Currently doing HM (just started Nahut) and later aiming for NiM. We raid Fridays and Saturdays starting at 9 pm UK time (10 pm CET). No guild joining necessary. You do need to be able to understand spoken English (and Scottish ) and be able to communicate well on discord during raids. We use starparse for all raids. I have a couple of crafting guilds which I created years ago before legacy banks etc. I have two accounts with identical legacy names. So I am used to seeing my guild list with all my crafting alt names and all with identical legacy names. Until today. Now every time I am logging in and out today my alt legacy names are changing to the legacy names of people on my friends list. I wasn't sure until I saw the legacy name of someone I know well. I thought it was random at first. I guess it is unlikely anyone has noticed this in large guilds unless they have an in depth knowledge of everyone's legacy name. Has anyone else noticed this?

Problem solved (for me at least), my account has finally changed to preferred. Now I can use all those unlocks I have been hatching for months

This made me laugh. It has been about 2 weeks or so now, I have been subbed since launch and decided I was no longer doing anything that needed a sub so I would try going preferred. I bought all the unlocks one could ever want, and readied myself. But no, I am still a subscriber.... I put in a ticket and was told ring customer services, which I may end up doing eventually, and P.M'd Eric just to ensure the powers that be are aware there is a bug at the moment, and will wait and see how long it will take for someone to hit the right button. Going by the threads here and on reddit, we are not alone in having this "problem", and I would think there are bound to be those who keep on playing and hope no one notices, or left and haven't logged in to realise they are still classed as subscriber.

I have been logging in and been doing some crafting but not done any ops or anything sub related. Well, I did conquest on one alt last week but that was before I realised my sub should have ended. Nothing terrible has happened... yet!!!

Maybe we could all have a bit of a sing song while they sort out our subscriptions Could it be they really don't want us to leave.. I have P.M'd Eric, and left a message with customer services in game. Beyond that the problem appears to be their end not ours so I guess they will sort it eventually.

I have the same thing happening to me. I have been a full time subscriber since launch and cancelled recently. But when I log in it says I am still a subscriber. I have all my unlocks ready for my account to go preferred and can't use them.. At first I assumed it was due to extra days from a friend referral link or extra sub time given to us over the years but now reading this it seems it is happening to other people too. The last thing I want to do is get banned I just want my preferred status... I will message Eric as I can't log into game right now to put in a ticket. Maybe they will see this thread tomorrow and offer a solution.

If your UI is set up in a way that makes moving the mouse easy then clicking should not be a problem. It does help to have a few mouse buttons under your right thumb programmed though.

I have been trying to log into my account all day in order to set up a security key. But each time I need a one time password to set up the key and each time it doesn't arrive. So I have been unable to log in and play or sort out the one time passwords either. It is frustrating. Luckily I had already cancelled my sub last week and it looks like I won't be playing again any time soon. Edited to say I have managed to log into my account now, after waiting over an hour for one password, I then received one quite quickly, only to find my account had timed out and I needed two more to log in and then attach a security key, both of which thankfully came quite quickly and I was able to do what I needed to before the forum timed out on me again. Shudders....

It is nothing to do with jealousy lol, and everything to do with being constantly bombarded by these referral link spammers. Today on Darth Malgus they were posting one after the other so chat was full all the time. It has become far worse than guilds recruiting and is at the point where it is impossible to see anything that is going on in chat. I have given up today and closed general chat as I am sick of seeing their constant posting.

I had the same problem. I gave up and quit the game for 24 hours. When I logged in I was back outside the fp. Had to start again which was irritating. Putting in a ticket was pretty useless too.
