  1. Just an observation, but on the front page of this site is the new Outlander and he is standing like a baseball player about to hit. He is even holding his saber like a bat.
  2. I just recently resubbed and wanted to share this bug. This quest requires you to click at a location. After clicking the action there is no rendered result. I tried multiple times and it appears to be broken. I reviewed many threads on this and it appears to be a known issue.
  3. Theres been some accountability. A couple director levels have been fired and the owner pushed out. The real victims are the consumers and the 2500 laid off last quarter.
  4. First rule of SWTOR development team .... we don't talk about SWTOR development, especially with our subs. sorry Eric, you gotta go. You're willingness to communicate with the masses doesn't align with our visio. Good luck in your future endeavors.
  5. Your ranked warzone concept is a complete failure. I play on three servers and they are dead. Here's the sad part, when I group I roll in the normals and murder the opposition, boring. When I que solo, I get faced by groups. Why is your ranked concept such a disaster. Has any decision worked out yet? Cross server already.
  6. Jeff and Matt got fired along with 2500 other employees I'm guessing.
  7. And before he wrote this he thought "this is gonna be an epic burn on the OP and everyone will like me and stop making fun of my clothes and morbid obesity, yep this post will turn things around, look out world"
  8. He's got balls doing this. BW plays it too safe and lacks the vision this guy might have. It would do BW some good to bring a few guys like this in a consultant for a weekend and get some ideas. I'd throw 5k at him for his time and travel. Cant hurt, cuz looks like we are short on the creative side in here.
  9. Thats my point, mother EA needs to show some stones and terminate the problem leadership in its baby project here. Theres still money to be made and a title to salvage, just shocked bw-swtor hasnt cut the head off the snake yet. Seriously, is noone asking "whos in charge of this thing?"
  10. ... Yah I have EA papers, not bundles of it, but enough to care. I see this f2p move a last ditch effort to salvage this investment. I am only impressed with roi this stock gives over time, not sub numbers. If it was self sustaining and giving something you wouldnt tinker with it much. But, you are revamping the sub model here. And in two quarters when you layout how awesome it is to have a 15% increase, we will know that it's a hollow number. Increases in participation without cash attached is worthless to me. Sure, you may pick up some buyers from this collection of browsers, but youre bleeding faster than you are signing up subs. I applaud your courage to try new things, but you are simply masking/ignoring the real issues. You have people in leadership with a strategic vision that is failing. Past subs are telling you this, so are current subs (fanbois cut quotes here, so u can rage how awesome things are). You have these people on too long a leash, cut them already, they are losing. What more proof do you need that it aint working with these two in charge? Youre running out of excuses and marketing gimmiks to try to convince us everything is fine. 2500 jobs are cut to turn that bottom line number black again, do you get it yet? It's flawed vision, get new leadership, hell take a chance on some intern at this point, cant get any worse.
  11. Genius ... you mean if I were to give something away for free that I once charged for, more people would take it?
  12. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this failure. F2P is simply an admission of a lack of leadership in my opinion. There are two options to attract new subscriptions: Make the game better or make it free. The first option requires work the other not much at all. As a subscriber that anxiously waited for this to drop for years, then relished in the release only to see it turn out like this, I'm disgusted. I'm sick of the lack of communication, the firings, the empty promises, and the overall lack of leadership from a development team that seems to be fleeing or being fired quarterly. Does anybody own this mess? Where are the fingers being pointed? Does anyone feel this is how it should have turned out? 6 months into release and you're giving it away? Somebody please stand up and take charge or walk away and let another person do it. This is a mess. How can you destroy something with the SW logo on it?
  13. Looking at EA's recent decisions to terminate the employment of prominent figures in SWTOR development, one has to decide if they are using sound logic. I've read many sad posts wishing well those figures who moved on. This isn't one of them and it shouldn't be shoveled in with those threads. In business, like in life, we keep score. Looking at the subscription numbers steadily declining, the EA executives have come to the conclusion that SWTOR is losing. First step, is to acknowledge it, and they have done that. Now, they could just fold up shop and bag in five years of work, they have deep enough pockets to do that. But, I believe they are acting with the best interest of us (the players) and the SWTOR franchise in mind, as well as their own pockets. When the leaders of a department or branch can't deliver the results you require, you have to move on to something else. You have to take a different approach with different leaders and a different strategy. If EA would have continued to employ those fallen leaders, I would have been wondering "what are they thinking? They gonna let these guys sink the ship entirely before they realize what is happening?" So, this is a happy thread, congratulating Erickson and the EA executives for finally making the right moves. I hope they continue to fight for this thing and find some leadership that can help recover this mess and bring it to the level it deserves to be at.
  14. "Everytime EA//BW does a patch it only get better" Really? You remember patch 1.2 Empty Promises? This patch has been so destructive to SWTOR we are still feeling the effects of it. The game took a sharp decline immediately after this patch. It was a result of poor planning and knee jerk reactions by lead developers that eventually got them fired. Patch 1.2 is responsible for the first wave of layoffs, which was about 2000 heads. BW had committed to maintaining a full staff to make certain new content would come fast. After patch 1.2, half a million subscribers cancelled. Lead Customer guy took the fall for his lack of communication around the failed patch promises. Shortly after this, Zoeller was terminated errr wait he left to take a job in south east asia (LOL, fat white guys don't like that humidity, and I find it hard to believe he CHOSE this part of the world over Texas, 6 months and he's back in Nebraska or whatever). Patch 1.2 unbalanced the classes and ruined a great pvp game. So, you can defend the game all you want but the truth is even the Lead devs are gone and that's not normal. But, I say good riddance to those that fell. If they aren't getting results and people are fleeing, than kudos to someone at EA for making a change in leadership. Undo 1.2 and your subs will return and then some. Sometimes to move forward, you have to go back. You trashed a good thing with your over-tinkering.
