  1. Bit more info for on the games I've mentioned... Age of Conan uses free targeting meaning you have to face your target to hit it. Fallen earth also uses it meaning you have to keep cross hairs on the target to hit it, but large periods of time your just gathering materials to craft your own gear...so for some periods of time combat isn't your main priority. My latest mmo is The Secret World. In this game you can switch between free targeting mode and tab targeting. One thing that sets it apart from any mmo out there are the quests. Some require brain power to decipher clues and test your memory of all those history lessons, or use the ingame browser to hit quest guides heh. As in Wildstar you do dodge telegraphs occasionally but they're a lot more forgiving than that game....even I can dodge heh! I've had fun in all these games I've mentioned...riding my horse in Fallen Earth across an apocalyptic US...dying a lot in Age of Conan...enjoying an history lesson in The Secret World with missions you'd expect to find in RPGs But for true tab targeting where you just hit combat and your character just does a basic swipe unless you hit a number key try dark ages of Camelot, anarchy online, Everquest, asherons call or lotro Be interested to know how you get on
  2. Hello mate... Most mmo's have options for keybinding so you can get the interface that is comfortable for you. Older mmo's such as Dark age of Camelot, Anarchy online, Lotro etc most probably have tab targeting. New mmo's such as Wildstar doesn't....tip, even tho' its free to play now the level of dexterity needed to play the game is insane...dodge this....jump that.....eew! A lot of mmo's now have a free to play option, so check out a few youtube videos of games that interest you. I have been on a break since last year from Swtor even tho' i've kept my sub option. I've been playing Age of Conan (ftp) The Secret World (no sub req') Fallen Earth (ftp Fallout clone) As I said nearly all mmo's are free to play now so with a little viewing on youtube...a few hours downloading you can experiment with any that takes your fancy... I'm even checking out Star Trek online now....another free to play one ^^
  3. Looks like it doesn't complete for agents. I haven't played this game for months and with agent being my go to character for new content first I have to say I'm really pissed off. Why do I pay a sub for what is ultimately a solo player RPG now?
  4. Same problem on my operative....it just agent related?
  5. After completing Chapter X and returning to the war room I chose to protect the civilians I met up with Kaliyo, had 3 emails but quest tracker says still return to war room? Can anyone tell me if ive completed it or bugged in some way? Every time I return to the war room I can talk chose the dialogue options again and get the same 3 emails? Appreciate any help
  6. Hi mate I'm 52 and a member of Cake. I was dabbling with Wildstar....until I found a story quest that involved a shedload of jumping, not good with my old rheumatic fingers heh! So now I'm back firmly back on swtor cake might fit what your looking for
  7. I'm from the UK with a toon I dabble with on Shadowlands. I can normally expect to see a range of 100-140 ms. I should imagine that should be the range you should experience going across the pond
  8. Checked out the forums mate...liked what I saw
  9. I've been interested in your guild for quite a while now. Unfortunately majority of my playtime is either Sundays and Mondays....evenings thereafter are taken up by work, mowing the cat feeding the lawn or emptying the tumble dryer (my contribution to laundry I'm active empire and republic side (altaholic syndrome) So if you have a spot for an ageing Brit short of hair and patience due to guilds promising they're social but are as welcoming as fart in a lift. let me know
  10. Hope you every success in your endeavour. I'm still looking for that certain something both imp and republic side heh! There has to be something out there for me surely to God!
  11. I'm in a similar boat. I've tried large guilds, guilds with witty sounding fun names, guilds declaring themselves as casual friendly and running fp's and op's. Guess what, they're all the same. Guild with 26 people online zero activity between any of them, same goes for smaller guilds. I may be unfair because I think it's just the nature of how things have grown now in mmo communities. Running a TFB op last Sunday resulted in a guy fully equipped in 180 gear rolling need on a 162 rated implant. He said if I wanted to play fair I should play Republic and not expect it from emp side?? Only a couple of people found his actions disdainful and he kept the implant. Seems even fairness may die nevermind death (work it out) That ruled out another guild I was considering. I've done the same as you....tried alt's in various guilds to see which is best....all to no avail. Maybe we should compare notes
  12. Life is a lot brighter on the dark side But I can say a Ragequit member did run a decent pug 16 man op into DF which I enjoyed thoroughly on my sneaky scoundrel
  13. My advice is to try different guilds and see what fits you and not what fits in with them. Far too many guilds advertise themselves as being as all things to all players which isn't the case...point being your first reply is from a guild advertised as a social guild where in another thread are stated as being a semi hard core raiding guild. Try alt characters in different guilds to test them out and when you find a guild that's right for you pitch your wagon to that guild...no point suffering in silent guild chat still pugging it...it will only dampen your enthusiasm for the game. Luckily Tor isn't at all hard to progress to pretty decently geared characters.
  14. I agree with Einistra. After heavy Rep domination I would go as far to say its around 60/40 now in favour of Republic. Queue times aren't as quick as some might say though on RE. They're probably quick after weekly reset for people to get weekly done but it soon quietens down especially the daytime.
  15. As someone in the same boat as you I can tell you the American servers are no different and not really an option. I've tried it levelled an op to 52 on Shadowlands. Early morning isn't too bad....but midday it's very quiet.
