  1. That sounds pretty good, and should not be terribly complicated...
  2. I have the option to jump of a bridge, that does not make it a good option. As others have said, it can reduce the community feeling of the game. I'm not saying it's the sole destroyer of server community. but it certainly does not help it. And as you can see, most people do want some kind of LFG tool, just not x-server.
  3. X-server, no... Same server, sure! we do need some kind of tool to ease grouping, but not x-server. Also people seem to think that x-server will fix everything from tank shortage to world hunger, and it does not. It just makes a bigger pool of players. So if we have a tank shortage across the board, we will still have it with x-server.
  4. Unbind Q and E, I use them to change my hotbar (Q - offensive skill hotbar, E - healing skill hotbar). I have A and D as strafe, and autorun with my middle mouse button. So I can run, and activate skills, and look behind me (and now target behind me with the camera change), all at the same time.
  5. There is nothing wrong with subscription based MMOs, there is nothing wrong with F2P MMOs either. They are just different business models. Companies will chose what works for them, and that's what they go with. Both can work if implemented properly.
  6. I agree, it's not going to kill anyone, this is a timed event so it will blow over. It's just something that BW should keep in mind when designing future events.
  7. So you would not mind being forced to do something in the game even if you do not want to? Ok, interesting... You would not mind if you are in an operation, and suddenly someone can force you into crafting 10 stims or something... It should not be forced on people. There is a big difference between opting in and opting out. People should opt-in for the event, they should not have to opt-out. Just because there is an "opt-out" option from spam, does not make it ok to send you 1,000,000 emails before you can opt-out...
  8. They can make it as flashy, and noisy as they want if they want me to see it. But it should not force me into PVP mode if I do not want to. The problem is forcing people into something they do not want to do. Would you like an event that allows me to force you into a PVE operation? or a PVE flashpoint? or space combat? No, I would not think so... Edit: Just to clarify. I'm not saying the event should be removed, but it should just be tweaked so you cannot be forced into PVP. And that should apply to future events.
  9. Yes, this is one of my main concerns... Separate quest areas is a killer for PVP servers, and it makes the world feel dead on PVE servers. We should have more joint areas, neutral cities, heck, the fleet should be neutral for both factions, so the game would feel more "alive". They were probably trying to minimize possible griefing issues I guess, by separating them, but that also killed PVP and immersion...
  10. I'd give it a 6.5. Generally good game. What they did with the story was really, really, good. It added a lot to the game. Unfortunately, the MMO feel and community feel of it is very weak. It does feel like a single player game. So while I've already cancelled, I did like the game, and can objectively see it is pretty good. I wish it the best in the future, and hope they can add more things to make it feel more alive, more like an MMO.
  11. I agree with the OP. People join a PVE server to avoid being forced into PVP... So there should not be any features that force you into PVP. Regardless if others find it "fun" to put me into PVP or not, I should not be forced into PVP if I do not find it fun...
  12. Sure it has all the MMO features, but as the other poster said, it feels like a single player game. I too leveled to 50, and while I ran into some players here and there, there was never any need to interact with them. And on my way to 50, I only ran into opposing player factions 2-3 times. That was it. The rest was single player. I got together with my friends to do some flashpoints, and help them on a few group quests, but that was it, the rest of the time we felt completely separated. So sure, it has all the standard MMO features, but the feel I get from it, it's not very MMOish... This is only my personal opinion, I'm not stating it as a fact, just the feeling I get from the game.
  13. You paid for 6 months, you get 6 months. Whether you like it or not, that is another story... You can't ask for the rollercoaster to stop mid-ride to get off, and get your money back or anything... There is a good lesson there, pay month-by-month next time. That's what I do... Saving 5-6 bucks for the 6 month subscription is not really worth it...
  14. I already cancelled. 5 days left. I do not hate the game, I think it's pretty good, but it is a lot of the same thing you get in other games. Sure, many games are like that, but I was expecting a bit more. Story is good, cinematics are great, but that only goes so far... The rest of the game is pretty standard affair I'm afraid.
  15. Heirlooms had roughly the same power as a blue item of the same level. So they were not game breaking at end level, but they were great for leveling. I agree with others that a fixed legacy item is kind of poor. They may be good, but you'll have to throw it away after a few levels.
