  1. either this video is outdated, or this is false advertising =/
  2. Until I start seeing button macros implemented in this game and 3rd party addons allowed. you are NOT responding to what the playerbase wants. That video was one big, cruel lie. You're also not telling the whole truth, yes the game sold two million copies at launch, but only 1.7 million remain. Declining numbers is not something to be happy about, BW =/
  3. So what's wrong with this game? First off: There's is absolutely little to NO player interaction Honestly, what gives? Out of all the zone's I've been doing missions it feels like I'm the ONLY one in the entire zone. Nevermind the fact that I can't find a player of the opposite faction to find and fight against, I can't even find other people of my own damn faction in the whole planet! I thought this was an MMO! If i wanted to play a single player game, I'd go play a single player game! Companions ruin this game further: I hate these, I really hate these. All these guys truly achieve is discouraging players from working with one another! in addition it also causes issues between players during flashpoints because there has been issues of players rolling need (ninja'ing) loot from other players because they said "my companions need it!" This has happened at least half the time in my flashpoint experiences. Loading screen after loading screen... after loading screen...: Seriously, to get from a planet to another i have to go through at least 3 loading screens which are by no means "fast" they are time consuming, tedious, and just plain annoying. There is no world PvP in SWTOR: I'm sorry I thought this was STAR WARS, you know... A galactic WAR going on between the republic and the empire? You know what would be really awesome? Seeing a bunch of siths laying the smackdown on the jedi academy on tython, it would force the republic to take up arms and defend it from the sith invasion. Or a big raiding party flying to Dromund Kaas and seek to kill the dark council and the Emperor and it's up to the empire's finest to ward off the assault from their capital world. But no, World PvP doesn't exist here. This is ONE thing SWTOR needs badly, this was what i was expecting when I saw that "Deceived" trailer, being able to form a huge raid composed of empire players and kill every jedi in the jedi academy on Coruscant. Bottom line: world-PvP is elusive and nearly non-exsistant. Fix it! There are no modding or button macros in this game: On mods: One thing that made WoW very enjoyable for a lot of people is that it allowed the opportunity of costumizing your interface just about any way people could think of! It gave more freedom and comfort in one's gameplay style. In addition it lightened the workload on the game's programmers and designers and allowed 3rd party modders to do their job for them! FOR FREE. On button macros: Personally one thing I loved about button macros is the fact that I could bind a couple of spells into a single button and it did wonders for me, given the fact there was very limited space to put all my buttons as effectively as possible. I also lack hand-eye coordination so macros allowed me to enjoy my gameplay a little further. PvP, THERE ARE NO DIMINISHING RETURNS!: I've been doing Warzones in SWTOR, but as for now I'm about ready to call THAT quits. I'm a sith juggernaut (tank specced) but that doesn't matter because when I have +5 people ganging up on me rotating their stuns, I'm a sitting duck with NO way of escape or defend myself WoW fixed this issue by implementing diminishing returns, when stuns and fears are used excessively over a period of time, the effects last less and less until the target becomes virtually immune to these things for a short period of time. Speech Bubbles: I don't think this is asking for much, but when I'm roleplaying with another person in-game it's easy to miss what they're saying because there are other people talking around us, not to mention the chat channels are always moving, so it's very easy to miss.
  4. Truly this game has been a letdown of biblical proportions, Allow me to describe my disappointment and disgust with SWTOR with this analogy: Its like dating a hot chick with TONS of baggage. Sure at first you think, "Damn, I can't believe I'm finally going out with this really hot chick!" because you've been waiting for so long to finally work the nerve to ask her out. But as you spend more and more time with her you realize she's not all she was cracked up to be. And it's not far from realizing you wanna break up with her and let her be someone else's problem. And that hot chick's name is "Star Wars: The Old Republic." When I first heard of a new Star Wars MMO being in the works, i was hyped, I was ready to quit the sea of trolls known as "WoW" and embark on exciting adventures, gameplay and Roleplay opportunities in SWTOR. Needless to say, that I am not amused with this game in the slightest. So what's wrong with this game? First off: There's is absolutely little to NO player interaction Honestly, what gives? Final Verdict: This game has failed to live up to its expectations, as a star wars fan I've been TRYING to keep my head up and be positive about the things this game is missing, but after a while, I'm just stating to lose hope in this game, that the potential it has going to waste. I've committed myself to a 6 month subscription, but I will not be renewing it unless BW starts putting their heads together
  5. I'm starting to become disillusioned with SWTOR, I doubt this game will make it to 1.4 without losing another handful of suscribers... =/ Sorry, I hate to be "that guy" but i've been TRYING to keep my chin up about SWTOR, but there are so many problems with it, it's hard for me to even care anymore, I've foolishly commited to a 6 month suscription plan, if SWTOR fails to impress me in 6 months time, I'm out of here.
  6. i hate to be "this guy" but why did you roll on a US server when you're on a the EU side? I'd say just reroll, I'm sure BW will get around to this, but it's gonna be a while...
  7. I agree with this all the way. As a tank specced Sith Juggernaut, my DPS in PvP is a joke and I die too easily in PvP despite my survivability in PvE
  8. So.. I've recently gotten into the clone wars series, and it's pretty okay. But what happens to Ashoka Tano? Did she survive order 66? they don't seem to reference her at all in episodes 2 or 3, or after that =/ Anyone?
  9. I'm enjoying my story based MMO thank you very much. So deal with it.
  10. I agree with everything OP posted, especially the lack of button macros, I've been dying for those since day one =/ It's really getting on my nerves.
  11. Button Macros, this game REALLY needs them
  12. I agree with OP, there are DOZENS of non-RP servers for non-RPers to go to. It really grinds my gears when people are running around with names that have NO relation to RP whatsoever.
  13. I think that creating official SW:TOR server forums would greatly improve the communities within each individual servers Why hasn't this been implemented yet? =/
  14. Star Wars meets the Zombie Apocalypse... *unsheathes lightsaber* Lets ****in' do this...
